10- Eclipse
"So, what are your names?" Ghost asks through a bite of his apple.
"We don't really go by any names," the girl replies. She doesn't bother looking at Ghost, only me, as if I asked the question. "Do you?"
I nod, "Yeah. The boy sitting next to you is Ghost and I'm Violet. We named each other."
My reply is a stare from the girl, as if names are a foreign topic to her.
"Do you want a name?" I ask before I process what I'm saying.
"Yes."
I study the girl. She has dark, wavy hair in no particular style. Her bangs frame a sharp face with coal-black eyes and thin lips coated in dark lipstick. She wears a strapless dark dress that puffs out at her waist, reaching down to her shins.
"What about... Eclipse?" I offer.
"Eclipse," she repeats slowly, sounding out each letter individually. "Eclipse."
"Seems pretty fitting," Ghost comments. "All your dark clothing and stuff, then your pale skin just suddenly there."
"I think it's your name now," the quiet boy finally whispers, "Eclipse."
