Rey's POV
A knock sounds on my door. "Come in." I say and the door opens.

I finish writing the anwser to my math homework and turn around to face whoever.

"Hey." Ben says with his head peeking through the door way.

"Hey." I breathe out.

"I'm sorry, I've been weird and an asshole lately."

"Do I get to know why?" I ask.

"No." He cracks a small smile.

I roll my eyes. "Okay, what do you want?"

"I want to teach you how to ride." He steps in.

"I already know how to ride." I smirk.

"Not that kind." He laughs. "The motorcycle kind."

"The kind where I put my hands around your waist and lean my head on you? I know that kind to."

"No, like actually driving the motorcycle."

"Oh."

"Yeah, you up for it?" He asks.

"Um sure." I stand.

"You'll need to change into jeans, some protective shoes, long sleeve shirt, and jacket."

"It's hot outside."

"It's for when you crash or slip up."

"You're expecting me to crash?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Not everyone can be perfect." He smirks.

I stick my tongue out at him, then push him out, so I can change.

"OK, where's the throttle?" Ben asks me. 

"Here." 

"Good, now the brake."

"There's the hand one and the foot one." I tell him.

"And you're only allowed to use the hand one for now."

"You're teaching me the foot one next." 

"Yes, now slowly release your hand."

I do as told and slowly release it.

"Great, now let's try it for real." Ben starts the motorcycle for me. "Just like we practiced."

I slowly ease up and the bike goes forward with a little jump, but I hang on and Ben walks beside me, then begins to jog.

"Keep up." I shout over the engine.

"Keep going." He shouts back.

I begin to give it gas and Ben has to run to keep up on the street.

"I'm doing it, I'm doing it!" I squeal.

Ben is full of running behind me and I begin to brake gently.

He catches up out of breath finally.

"I did."

"Congrats." He breathes out. "Now let's get you actually riding."

"Okay." I smile.

"Give me a ride back." He swings his leg over.

"I can't drive us both."

"Yes you can." He wraps his arms around my waist.

I start going forward again and take it slow getting back down the street to the house.

"Thanks grandma." Ben says once the bike is off and parked.

"Hey I'm still learning."  I counter.

"What's his act?" Ben asks as I lay against him on the couch.

"Guitar." I tell him. "Wait, where you reading over my shoulder?"

"No, I can read minds."

I roll my eyes.

A/N:Hey everyone! Sorry this is such a short chapter, I know I suck.

But I was having writer's block on what to write because I have my next chapter planned, but I needed to just get this little bit out of the way.

Anyways, I have 2 essays due, a midterm, a couple quizzes, a trip planned this weekend to Disneyland, and an EXTREMELY IMPORTANT interview this Thursday with my dream company.
I also got laid off 🙁 so back to job hunting, because the interview would be for the job is for May/August to December/January, depending on how long they want me.

I don't want to jinx it, so until I know if I got the job or not, I won't mention the company. Latest I will find out is April, but I could also hear back any time after my interview. Wish me luck!

Btw I went to my first Comic Con and got 3rd place for my Hero Rey 😍
