Rey's POV
New Message!
Unknown: When can you meet to do our project for Film?

I pull out the paper with Ben's number on it and it matches, so I add him to my contacts

To Ben:
Rey: when r u free?
Ben: tomorrow after school?
Rey: sure.
Ben: my place?
Rey: yeah.

I wait and he doesn't reply. I finish all my homework and do housework.

When I recheck my phone before bed I still have no text messages. No Ben, no Finn, and no Poe.

The next morning I wake up early to make sure I make it to school on time without a ride from Poe.

As I get on to school grounds, I walk though the parking lot and Poe drives in.

"Did you walk?" Finn calls out the window.

I look at him and continue my walk.

I hear a motorcycle engine and wait to cross, waiting for Ben to zoom through.

He does and looks at me through his helmet. I then cross.

Once in the hall some girls glare at me and a boy wolf whistles at me. I glare at him in return.

As I walk through the hall to my locker I can't help, but feel eyes watching my every move.

Once at my locker, I glance over my shoulder and see people whispering and looking at me. I look in the mirror and my hair looks fine. My tan shirt and ripped jeans are clean. My boots are a little dirty from my walk, but why would they care?

I pull out my English textbook and close my locker.

"Honestly I don't see it?" Hux says looking at me while Ben goes through his own locker.

"See what?" Ben groans, giving in and playing his little game, and I raise my eyebrow curious, as well.

"Apparently little miss Rey has the best ass of the junior class." Hux says and tilts his head.

"What?" I snap.

"Where you checking out her ass?" Ben asks annoyed and stares at Hux who stares at me.

"You made the Junior Hot List. A group of junior boys made it." Hux informs me.

"Wow they really are running out of things to do." Ben closes his locker.

A boy whistles and catcalls at me.

I roll my eyes and storm to homeroom.

I sit down fuming and see Poe and Finn walk in together... Along with some other junior boys.

"Get it Poe!" One pats him on the back.

"Morning Kenobi." He greets me.

"Dameron." I sneer back.

"Hey Rey." Finn smiles. "What's up?"

"Oh just being catcalled all morning." I slump in my seat.

"Kenobi and Dameron!" A guy calls across the class in a sing song tone and the bells rings.

I roll my eyes. There is no way I'm even talking nicely to Poe until he is genuinely sorry.

"Hey, you!" Clovis speaks up. "Come to the front of the class and read whatever is on that note you're passing."

"Okay." The boy smirks. He walks to the front and clears his throat. This ought to be good. "Juniors hot list." He begins and my eyes go wide. "Best ass Rey Kenobi. Worst ass-"

"Enough." Clovis snatches the note and rips it up, throwing it away... But now it's clear.

It's open season on me.

When the bell rings I go to the trash can and pull out what I need to know...

I recognize the writing right away.

"You're welcome." Poe smiles.

"Why would you write that?" I ask.

"Because you were mad and a way to get a girl unmad is to flatter her. Now don't get me wrong. I really do believe you have a nice ass and I wasn't just saying it because you were mad, but-"

"Leave me alone Poe!" I storm out into the hallway and crash in to Ben.

"Watch where you're going." He snaps at me and I shove him away from me.

I make it into English and drop my bag to the floor and wait for Mr. Windu to start class.

Ben walks in and glares at me. "Bitch." He whispers.

"Asshole." I whisper back.

"Trouble with your boyfriend or is it that time of the month?" He asks.

"Shut your stupid-"

"Okay let's do some creative writing!" Windu calls out and eyeballs us. "Partner with the person next to you."

Since Ben sits on the end he's forced to partner with me and the rows work out that way.

"Write a short story and in 20 minutes we will exchange with your partner." He assigns us.

I write about a woman being controlled by men who see her as nothing, but an object, but by the time I'm writing about her about to rebel and kick their ass it's time to trade papers.

"Write an ending for them." Windu announces.

I read Ben's and it's about everything becoming legal and a girl sells herself to him to save her boyfriend, but she ends up falling in love with the dude while he sees her as just a sexual object.

I roll my eyes and begin writing the ending.

"Okay hand it back."

I smile and hand his back and he hands it back with a blank face.

Ben finished mine actually really nicely. The girl killed her enemies.

"What the hell is this?" Ben angry whispers.

I wrote his ending as she runs away and the guy realizes he had feelings for her.

"What all men realize too late." I whisper back.
