Chapter 4 - Open Season
Hey everyone. I have a few days off.
After being disgruntled with myself and other side pieces to work on, I am here to proudly say that I am back. I'm happy writing freely without pressure again. I feel so at ease.
With that said, let's get back to this.
Enjoy.

As Chef was getting back inside, he was worried that one of the other monsters were going to read it prior to Kimihito. And that could mean only one thing. Trying to win him over. With monster and human relations being approved, was this going to be a buyout style such as she cooks the best, or someone putting him into a room to go grounding, mounding, and pounding 'till six in the morning!?
Even so, what would happen from then on out? If that rule was around just a mere two months ago Miia would want Kimihito as her lone lover and want to be his everything. Papi would just want food and gaming with him. Suu probably around the same. Then there were the other two. Would Centoria and Mero wish to have him in bed as well? Or in the water? Either works. Same concept remains. How and what can happen after such a rule being passed.
I'm just the messenger. And this coordinator is secretly a pervert that is trying to take advantage of Hito. But this one right here takes the cake. She kicks it, I make it, the girls dish it. Moment of truth. "Hey Hito. From Agent Smith. Urgent." Walking over and handing over the paper.
"Thank you." He nodded and went to read everything slowly. His eyes widening.
Oh boy. Here it comes. Thought Chef.
"Does this mean-" Kimihito gulped.
Miia slithered over. She gasped as she read through everything. This was the scary situation. The one with the highly clingy personality and high affection drive. Always craving her interest's attention and wanting him to notice her as a woman. "We have rights!" She screamed in happiness.
"Beg pardon?" Asked Centoria.
"We can file for identification and be treated close to the same as humans in his country. This is huge." Replied Miia.
"That means we can be our own being?" Pondered Lala entering the room.
"We can go to the store or the park without Darling being present and it will be okay." Pondered Miia. "Give him a break. If we have ID then we can start to get out a little bit more. I'm sure some of us get a little hay fever since we all have needs in here."
"I can pick out fish at the market for us." Smiled Mero. "And I can head to the water if I need to really stretch my scales."
"And I do miss a good run." Nodded Centoria.
"I also may need to get back to work." Put in Lala.
"I like lemon pudding!" Chimed Papi.
"There are hours of paperwork ahead. Just a heads up." Chef patted Hito on the shoulder. "Still, it's nice that me and you don't have to do everything. Centoria can pick the vegetables she wants, Mero gets the fish, Papi can stretch her wings, and Lala can get to work in piece. And Rachnera can well, do her thing. Whatever she pleases really. I think we all realize that she has her own agenda."
"Thank you Chef. Though as do you. You are a man after all." She teased.
"Let's not go there. I'm at work technically." He chuckled.
"Fair Chef, though of course this whole marriage thing doesn't exactly need to be deemed necessary for the steps going on into the exchange program now does it. Seems rather lenient." Rachnera looked over at the bill that was recently passed. "As far as confrontations with people, humans and monsters can a right of consequence both ways and would be on trial to discuss punishment."
Chef just started laughing. "Guy smacks a monster girl's ass and she smacks him. How's the jury going to work? Judge Dragon and a jury of six humans with a few birds, a fish in a tank, and something else?" Trying to stop but he couldn't. "Ya gotta be fair, right? How monsters are going to on jury duty."
"There will be a shortage." Giggled Mero.
"Tradgic they can't find cat girls to deliberate." Huffed Lala.
"Why am I picturing nekos playing with yarn in the jury room as the fish and humans talk about food halfway through deliberating?" Asked Kimihito.
"See? This is the shit I'm talking about." Said Chef to his friend. "And while we're at it I'll buy you a chasity belt." Patting him on the shoulder. "Girls, please so help me respect his wishes and be gentle. He's soaked behind the ears."
"Oh?" Mero rolled her eyes being a little cheeky.
"Yes you in more ways than one." Chef replied and went to it. "Well, I'm going to get some sleep. Everyone have a good night and please don't do anything rash. Bloody Hell that's an abomination. Complete bollocks and intolerable. Good night." He chuckled and let himself out. His day of work was done. Leaving Kimihito and the girls in a big world of conversation about to go down. They needed to go over terms right then and there. Or at least make stable ground.
As he walked home it was pretty ironic to see a human and monster couple hand in hand. A human guy and a monster girl with goat horns. It had his eyes widen as he casually walked home. Not sure if goat, sheep, or succubus... He shook his head and kept walking forward. With the feeling that his near two kilometer distance felt more of a ten-kilo race and he was in last place.
It started to daunt on him. Feeling about the ex back in England and the world around him. Housing was good. Which was nice. That's the hardest part. Then there was everything else. And the topic of women being talked about in his face the whole time. Along with the old fashioned saying of "You're young. You're not married and no kids." Which really got old quick. Kids could wait, but the whole subject of women was hard to ignore.
It has me thinking now. I know it's legal now, but can a monster girl in most aspects be a nice girlfriend? I don't know the girls well enough. But I learned that the best ways to find out what you are with a woman is over food. That's how and why I came a chef. The cultural aspect and a good reason to get up in the morning. Man doesn't get up because of the alarm said so. The woman aside him said shut it off and there's friggin' bacon on the stove. That's why.
Though that said, maybe as soon as food is ready I can have a meal with them as if I live there and see what I can learn from all of them. Something I have failed to do so far. Because they might see the world much differently than I do. Whether I date a monster girl or not down the line, it's foolish not to learn how they are. You either learn or get stuck in your way and don't change from the better.

We either adapt, or remain out of date. Sometimes for the worse.
