It was a rather windy day in a land known as the Ruined Pinnacle. Wind was blowing harder than usual and the local nature seemed to be in chaos. Small monsters were forced to flee their homes quickly to find new and safer shelter, at least until the wind calmed down.

No one's POV

On top of the largest mountain at the Ruined Pinnacle, was a small clearing. This area stood high above the clouds, almost reaching the stars. Any living thing could see most of the mountain with just their eyes easily. However, due to the hostile storm surrounding it, no one could see the very top unless they went far above the clouds to witness it.

There was commotion at the top. A battle between man and monster took place at the small space, which seemed very dangerous due to how cramped the area was.

A young hunter screams in pain as he was sent flying into the air. He seemed to be in his early twenties and around 6'0. He had short hair that was as white as snow and his eyes were an icy blue. His skin tone was a little pale, but not due to being ill or anything. He wore an armor set known to a few people known as a Kamura Armor Set.

His back soon smacks into a stone wall before he fell onto the cold floor, face first. His dual blades land besides his body while he tries to slowly pick himself up, but felt a sudden rush of pain into his left rib cage. Grunting in pain, he lets himself fall back onto the ground as he heard a roar and clashing at the center of the area.

At the center, another hunter in silver armor, known as Valstrax X Armor, was facing off against a monster classified within the Elder Dragon list. It was hard to make out what it was due to it being surrounded in a dust cloud. The hunter blocks the monster's multiple claw attack using his shield from his Charge Blade.

As the monster continues to attack the hunter, the latter tried his best to hold on. But due to the strength of the beast, his feet would inch back with each attack that made contact with his shield. He growls in anger while a drop of sweat travels down his face under his helmet. But after a few more swings from the monster, it growls before jumping back a few feet and glares at the hunter while snarling. It then spreads its wings out and lets out an ear-deafening roar, clearing all the dust away and revealing its true self.

This monster is a dragon that has a bristly appearance. It has fairly advanced forelimbs with the ability to use them to swipe at the hunters in an almost human-like way. Its front limbs, wings, and tail are covered in broken spikes that were beginning to regrow their original white spikes. It has two massive horns, similar to a bull, on its head. The monster's hide is primarily black with purple and orange accents. Its wounds that were already cut open by the hunters earlier began to heal by itself.

The monster slams its right paw into the ground while it lifts its left one a little, looking menacing towards the hunter. This monster is an Elder Dragon known as Nergigante.

"...Dammit..." The standing hunter mutters quietly as he pants, trying to regain his stamina. "Where are you, y/n?"

Just as he finishes speaking, the monster roars again as the downed hunter gave it another try to get back up on his feet. The Nergigante runs towards the standing hunter before going on its hind legs and lifts its left arm while spreading its wings.

Meanwhile...

On the side of the giant mountain, a third hunter was approaching the top of the mountain. He was dangling from a small snake wyvern known as a Remobra, and using a grapple from his gauntlet known as a slinger to hang onto the wyvern's leg. He wore an armor set known as Bazel Alpha Armor Set and carried a matching Long Sword on his back.

"..." The hunter stayed silent as he looks up the mountain to his left to see how much longer he had before he made it to the top, which wasn't much more of a distance.

...

Back to the fight, the hunter with the Charge Blade barrel rolls backwards with the help of a gust a wind far enough to dodge the Nergigante's paw. Its paw slams into the grounds, cracks it, and sent all of its spikes flying in several directions from its arm. As the hunter regains his footing, he saw the monster's arm slowly begin to regrow its spikes again, causing him to sneer a bit.

"H-hey!" The two heard from behind the monster.

They both look over and saw the younger hunter back on his feet and glaring at the monster. The other hunter was going to shout at the younger hunter, but the latter gave him a quick nod, silently telling him something. This caused the other's eyes to widen for a moment before nodding back to his partner. They then focuses back on the monster as the beast leaps and tried to pounce on the hunter that yelled.

However just, before it could, the hunter raises his arm to the side and tosses a blue bug into the air before being reeled towards it by a white string and dodges the monster's attempt of an attack. The monster glances at the escaping hunter before noticing the fact that it was diving right towards two big barrels where the hunter once stood. It didn't have time to dodge them as it crashes face first with the barrels, which explodes upon impact, dazing it. The explosion was barley powerful enough to shatter the monster's right horn, causing it to roar in pain as it crashes into the ground.

"Alright!" The young hunter shouts in glee as he lands on his feet several feet away from the monster and explosion.

As he did, the other hunter runs towards the monster's tail and pulls out his weapons. He places his blade into his shield, places it behind him, and yells. As he yells, a burst of energy extends from his blade, twice as long as himself, before swinging his weapon up and vertically of him.

When the energy hits the monster's skin, it had enough force to cut off the monster's tail, sending it tumbling forward and roaring in agony.

"Nice one!" The younger hunter shouts as he regroups with his partner. The other simply nods at him before they both look back at the weakened Nergigante as it stumbles back on its feet. "Lets finish this off and go home!"

As the hunter shouted, the monster manages to get back on its feet and turns towards the hunters again. It snarls before roaring again in rage, which echos across the land. The two hunters had to cover their ears to prevent going deaf. While they did, the monster's spikes regrew and starts to change to a black color instead of the regular white.

...

While this all happened, the third hunter was still using the Remobra to fly up to the top of the mountain. He was close enough to barley hear the monster's roar, causing him to burrow his brow and sneer under his helmet. Even though he could feel his arm becoming soar due to how long he's been at this, he didn't care. He just kept his head up and eyes focused to where he saw the top of the mountain that the battle is taking place at.

...

The Nergigante leaps at the two hunters at a much faster speed. The two barley had time to dodge as the monster had just slammed its body where they stood. The ground cracks under its weight and sent debris and spikes flying, slamming into the hunters. They both grunt as they were sent flying back several feet and tumble to the ground. The hunter in silver armor slowly gets up to his feet but was too dazed from the attack to move. The other managed to quickly get back on his feet, pulls out his blades, and glares at the monster. He runs towards the beast and began to slash the monster's right hind leg multiple times as it pulls itself out from the ground.

Even though he thought he was doing damage to the monster, it simply spun around and smacks the hunter with its stubbed tail. The hunter rolls back a foot as the monster turns around and smacks him with its wing, sending him rolling back farther. It then tries to smash him by slamming its paw down on him, but he managed to summon his bug in time and was reeled back far enough to avoid being hit by the claws. He does a barrel roll in the air before landing on his feet and uses his hand to help keep his body up. He looks up at the beast and noticed it was charging at him. He was going to roll away, but noticed he was cornered against the walls, not having any space to get away from it.

As that happened, the other hunter regained his vision and focuses back on the fight. He pulls out something from his pouch behind his waist and shoves it in his mouth which he immediately eats. He felt his body harden and his stamina fully recover, causing him to lift his arms up and flex for a second. After, he pulls out his sword and shield and starts to run to to the monster to help his partner.

...

Eventually, the third hunter arrived to the scene. When he arrived at the top, his grapple lets go of the wyvern's foot and he lands on the ground. He immediately notices that the younger hunter was trapped and starts to run towards him. As he did he pulls out a bright object from one of his pouches, loads it into his slinger, aims his arm between the monster and his fellow hunter, and fires the object immediately. The object flew so fast it manages to get between the monster and hunter before exploding, releasing a very bright light that blinds the monster's vision, making it shut its eyes closed. It stops running and whines as it blindly swing its arms around.

The young hunter looks towards where the object was fired from and smiles seeing the third hunter join the fight. "Alright, y/n!" He shouts before throwing his bug and reels himself out from the corner.

The third hunter, y/n, simply nods at him before focusing on the Nergigante. He saw the other hunter was slashing at the monster's side with his sword. And even though he was being kicked at and smacked by the tail, the attacks didn't hurt as much as before, so he didn't back down. Y/n unsheathes his Long Sword from his back and joins in on slashing the monster with his own sword, along with their other partner. The trio attacked the monster from different angles for a moment before it regained its vision and became enraged. It spreads its wings and roars into the air, sending all the hunters back a few feet. However, due to taking such a beating, the three were still on their feet. They all regrouped together and stare at the beast with their weapons out as it stares back at them.

"This is it! We've got it weakened." The hunter in the silver armor comments.

"I'm ready to end this if you guys are!" The young hunter shouts.

The two stare at y/n for some kind of response. But he doesn't, which the two noticed. He just kept his eyes on the monster, which it practically doing the same thing, glaring at him.

"..." Y/n doesn't say anything, much to the others' disappointment. Instead, he sheathes his weapon on his back and calmly walks to the monster. The others were about to yell at him, but he simply lifts a fist up, which stops the others as they watch in silence.

As y/n walks forward, the Nergigate stares at him, breathing heavily through its nostrils as its chest rises and falls. Y/n glares at the beast under his helmet which causes it to glare back, as if it could see his eyes under his helmet. When the two were mere feet away from each other, y/n stops walking and continues to stare, so does the monster. They had a stare down for an unknown short amount of time, completely silent the whole time. The only sounds that were made were the wind howling and the monster's heavy breathing.

After a few more seconds, y/n slowly got into an almost martial arts-like stance, not even bothering to pull out his sword. He motions for the monster to attack, which it almost immediately did. It goes to punch him, but he barley moves an inch to the side and the monster's paw misses him. After, he reels his other arm back and uppercuts the monster's bottom jaw. The force in his fist was so powerful that it sent the monster flying back and crashes onto its back, sending dust into the air.

Upon crashing, y/n looks over his shoulder at his partners and whistles to them as the dust clears. They both nod and sheathe their weapons before running over to aid their teammate. When y/n turned back to the Nergigante, he saw it was back up on its feet with its other horn now broken off. It stood on its hind legs and lets out a roar of pure rage. It then flew up and hovers in the air.

As it did that, the trio did their own thing. The hunter in silver armor stayed behind the other two and pulls out his shield before holding it in front of him. The youngest hunter jumps past that hunter into the air and used his wirebug to go even higher. Y/n runs to the other hunter on the ground and jumps onto his shield and was launched into the air with the other's help. Y/n threw his arm into the air and it was almost immediately caught wrapped around by another wirebug from the third hunter. That hunter then spun in a circle a few times with y/n before throwing him towards the monster.

At that moment, the Nergigante dives bomb towards the trio. And while it did, y/n unsheathes his long sword and lifts it above his head. Within seconds, the two were just about to make contact, but time seemed to begin to slow down to a halt before fading to black...

Hey, everyone. Hopefully you've all enjoyed this teaser, or at least found this idea interesting. All some of you can tell, I am creating a crossover between 3 different Monster Hunter games, or at the very least planning to. This will include MH: Generations Ultimate, World/Iceborne, and Rise. But don't worry, due to Rise still being relatively new, I won't include much from the game compared to GU and World that would be considered spoiler-y for a long while. A small unknown shining bright dragon crawls into the darkness. Its entire body's skin radiates a blinding white light as if it was a star. Due to how bright it was, it was hard to make out its features, except for its lime green eyes. Nevertheless, the small dragon lets out a shriek, before spreading out its wings and lets out a blinding light that made everything go white, then back to darkness a second later...
