Chapter 19

First off, I just wanted to mention how much I loved the return of Supergirl, since they did it in a great way and I can't wait for the rest of the final season, which hopefully will not contain anymore breaks. I really missed Supergirl and while Superman and Lois are great, I'm glad that Supergirl is finally back.

Also, on a different but related note, am I the only one who noticed that the suit Zor-El wore in the field looked like a guy version of the suit Alura wore when she was on Earth?

Also, in other non related news, they've released a list of characters that will be appearing in the Flash season 8 crossover event and while one of them will be a Supergirl character, it will not be Kara herself, which makes you wonder what's going to happen to her in the series finale, since pretty sure season 8 of the Flash doesn't air until after Season 6 of Supergirl ends.

"I'm surprised you haven't bailed yet." Kara said to Mxy as she walked up to the imp on the ship.

"Well, I can't go unless you either banish me or release me from my debt to you." Mxy said and Kara smiled.

"And you've more than done that. Mxy, you helped bring back two people I love, one of which I never thought I'd ever see again. You've more than cleared your debt to me. Unless you have any other debts to settle, you're free to use your magic however you choose." Kara said and Mxy smiled.

"Thank you Kara Zor-El. And I hope that should we see each other again, it'll be under more pleasant circumstances." Mxy said and Kara smiled.

"As long as you're a help and not a threat, you'll always be welcome in National City and I may ask you to pop in on some of my friends in other cities, just to freak them out a bit." Kara said and Mxy laughed.

"I look forward to it. So, does this mean we're friends now?" Mxy asked.

"Yeah, it does." Kara said as she held out her hand to Mxy, who shook it.

"If you ever need my help, just shout and I'll be here." Mxy said and Kara smiled.

"I will keep that in mind." Kara said.

"Also, should I expect a wedding invite?" Mxy asked as he looked over at Mon-El.

"Wait for him to ask me before you worry about that." Kara said.

"Well, I'll see you soon. Whenever that is." Mxy said as he snapped his fingers and disappeared.

"Where'd Mxy go?" J'onn asked.

"Who knows? Now that he's cleared his debt to me, he's free to do whatever he wants." Kara said.

"I have to admit, I had my doubts about him, but he really has changed." J'onn said.

"I know. That's why I told him that he was forgiven." Kara said and J'onn nodded in agreement.

"Now, I need a favor from you." Kara said to J'onn.

"Name it." J'onn said.

"Go to Midvale and get Eliza, restore her memories if you haven't already, and then tell her what Alex did. I have a feeling that she'll want to have a very long conversation with Alex about this." Kara said and J'onn nodded in agreement.

"I'm on it. Plus, I don't think she ever did get to meet your mother in the old reality." J'onn said and Kara nodded.

"No, my mom went back to Argo City before she could meet Eliza and now she gets to meet both of my parents." Kara said.

"Any luck tracking down Jeremiah?" J'onn asked.

"None yet. But we're not gonna stop looking." Kara said and J'onn nodded as he flew out of the Tower.

When they returned to the Tower, Kelly had immediately taken charge as the team's resident doctor and ordered that both Alex and Zor-El be taken to the medbay to recover from their ordeal.

"Are they going to be okay?" Kara asked Kelly as they watched over Alex and Zor-El, both of whom were unconscious and lying in beds in the medbay.

"Physically, yes. Your father should make a very rapid recovery thanks to his kryptonian powers, all he needs is time under the yellow sun lamps to help him recover." Kelly said.

"And Alex?" Kara asked.

"Will take a little longer, since she was in there for a few weeks. Right now she's malnourished and dehydrated, since she neglected to pack any rations or survival supplies when she sent herself in. Her body is also showing small signs of sleep deprivation and exhaustion. I doubt she really had any time to sleep while she was there." Kelly said.

"I'm assuming you also gave her something to keep from having any dreams?" Kara asked Kelly nodded.

"While I'm sure she will have nightmares of some kind as a result of what she experienced, I can put those off for now, since she needs sleep, calm sleep. I've also got her hooked up to an IV to help her get some much needed fluids." Kelly said.

"I'm guessing that IV is also what's keeping her sedated." Kara said.

"Not taking any chances. She's not getting out of that bed until I clear her and the only way I can be sure she'll obey is if I keep her unconscious." Kelly said.

"Do it for as long as you need, she can consider it part of her punishment for going rogue in the first place." Kara said and Kelly nodded.

"I'm so glad we got her back." Kelly said.

"So am I. But I still can't believe that she'd do something like this. It was so risky." Kara said.

"Her heart was in the right place." Kelly said.

"I know, but her head wasn't and honestly, she's lucky she didn't lose it." Kara said.

"You are selling her out to Eliza right?" Kelly asked.

"J'onn's on his way to Midvale to get her right now." Kara confirmed and Kelly chuckled.

"Good. If there's one person that Alex is afraid of, it's her mom." Kelly said and Kara chuckled and nodded her agreement.

"What's this I hear about your foster mother coming here?" Alura asked as she joined them.

"I sent J'onn to Midvale to go pick her up, since just like how you'd want to be here for me if I was the one who was lying here, I'm sure Eliza would want to be here for Alex as well." Kara said and Alura nodded in agreement.

"I'm very eager to finally get to meet your other mom." Alura said and Kara smiled.

"You'll love her." Kara assured her.

"I'm sure I will, since I owe her a great debt for raising you when I could not. If only I knew how to repay it." Alura said.

"And I as well." Zor-El said as he woke up.

"Father." Kara said as Kelly moved over to Alex's bed to give the family some privacy.

"How I have missed you both over the years." Zor-El said with a smile as his wife and daughter hugged him.

"And I've missed you as well." Alura said as she hugged her husband.

"I spent so long thinking that I'd never see either of you again and now here we are, together again at last." Kara said as Zor-El and Alura looked at each other.

"You know that we're not going to be staying here forever?" Alura asked her daughter.

"I know. Argo needs you both, mom on the ruling council and dad working to create more Harun-El in order to ensure Argo's survival." Kara said.

"Create it?" Zor-El asked.

"My friend Lena, she found a way to actually create it." Kara asked.

"A means of infinite life for Argo." Zor-El said and Kara nodded.

"I'll need to speak with her." Zor-El said and Kara nodded as she moved back to Alex's side and Zor-El turned to his wife.

"How is it that our daughter fell in love with the prince of Daxam?" Zor-El asked and Alura chuckled.

"He's a good man who loves our daughter dearly, though in the old universe, it would appear that their love was doomed to fail, since events kept pulling them apart." Alura said.

"And in this one?" Zor-El asked.

"In this one, I believe that their love is meant to be. I also know that Mon-El is trying to find the right moment to ask for permission to make Kara his bride." Alura asked.

"And you approve of that?" Zor-El asked.

"For more reasons than one. Not only is he in love with Kara, just like she is with him, but should they get married, it could also be seen as a true unification and a true peace between Krypton and Daxam. The prince of Daxam married the daughter of one of the most influential houses in all of Krypton." Alura said.

"You know I can still hear you." Kara called out without leaving her sister's side.

"Right, I still forget about the super hearing." Alura said with a chuckle as she led her husband out of the medbay.
