Chapter 11

This chapter will contain a twist to the arrowverse that I think a lot of people were wishing had happened in the actual show.

"Agent Odell, you have an incoming transmission." Major Grey said to her boss as she entered his office at the Pit.

"Take a message, I'm busy." Odell said.

"Sir, it's the President herself." Grey said and Odell sighed.

"Fine, put her through." Odell said and Grey nodded as she left the room before the monitor in Odell's office flashed the presidential seal before the image of Olivia Marsdin came on the screen.

"Madam President, to what do I owe this unexpected honor?" Odell asked, though he could tell that she was angry.

"Agent Odell. I'm calling you in the hopes that you can clear a few things up for me that have recently been brought to my attention in regards to your organization." Marsdin said.

"Of course. How can I be of assistance?" Odell asked.

"By giving me a reason why I shouldn't toss you in a cell and throw away the key right now." Marsdin said, surprising Odell.

"Excuse me?" Odell asked, wondering why she was making such accusations.

"Argus Director Lyla Michaels has presented me with ironclad proof of the heinous and illegal operations that the ASA has been running since it was founded. Experimenting and weaponizing metahumans, abducting black children, the list goes on and on. And the fact that you've done it all with apparently no oversight is outrageous." Marsdin said.

"Madam, with all due respect, the ASA is simply doing what it was created for." Odell said.

"I'm aware of that, though honestly, now that both Argus and the DEO exist, I'm not really sure what purpose the ASA serves anymore, which is why I hereby shutting your entire operation down, effective immediately and sending in a joint Argus/military task force to take possession of all your resources and more importantly, detain you and all other ASA personnel until we can determine who is truly guilty and who was simply duped into thinking that they were doing the right thing." Marsdin said.

"You can't do this. This organization has existed since World War 2." Odell said, trying to convince her otherwise.

"And it has outserved its purpose. Unlike my predecessors, I am not willing to condone the actions you have taken. My decision is final and it has been approved by both Congress and the Senate. And don't bother running." Marsdin said as the transmission ended, leaving Odell stunned.

"Major Grey, get in here." he shouted.

"What is it sir?" Grey asked when she entered his office.

"I want you to take Wylde and your commandos and track down and eliminate the Tailor immediately." Odell said.

"Can I ask why?" Grey asked him.

"Because he somehow managed to get incriminating evidence against the ASA to Argus, since I know it was him and the President is shutting us down and sending an Argus task force to take us all in. And while I hold no illusions of us being able to repel them, since even if we did have the resources to do so, which we don't, it would only further brand us a enemies of the state, but not we're not going down without a fight and it will not go unpunished. The Tailor must pay the price for his betrayal. Commander Williams will take point on transferring any other sensitive assets to an off the books location." Odell said.

"Yes sir." Grey said as she walked out of his office.

"Time to make a last stand." Odell said.

Later on that night, Jefferson and his team were gathered in the Sanctum trying to make plans to prepare for however the ASA might choose to retaliate against them for selling them out to the ASA, since Lyla had called to inform them about the situation, when suddenly, some kind of strange, swirling blue vortex opened up in the middle of the Sanctum and to their surprise, Lyla and someone else that they all recognized, though some of them for different reasons, walked through.

"John." Lynn said.

"Hey sis." John Diggle said to his stepsister, since his mom had married Lynn's father, General Roy Stewart, years ago.

"Why is Uncle John here?" Anissa asked.

"Does he work for Argus?" Jen asked.

"Not in this universe." John said, taking them aback.

"Wait, you're like us?" Anissa asked and John nodded.

"Right, I forgot that you were on that ship before the energy wave wiped us out." Jefferson said and John nodded.

"Yeah. I'm a close friend of Barry Allen and I'm actually a vigilante myself in Star City. Codename Spartan." John said.

"It suits you." Lynn said, trying to wrap her head around the idea.

"Yeah well, now that I know that I have a sibling I don't want to kill, I'm doing everything I can to keep her alive. Which is why I came along." John said.

"What are you talking about? Andy is dead." Lynn said and John sighed.

"I'll tell you later. Right now we need to focus on the task at hand, which is making sure that you don't get killed. Speaking of which, brought you guys some presents." John said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out two watches.

"Watches?" Anissa asked as Jefferson and Jen took them.

"Did Cisco make these?" Jefferson asked.

"No, he's busy in Central City, but Lyla has had Argus's design team working around the clock on them since she met with you a week ago, with Gambi's input, along with a few upgrades." Dig said.

"Well, at least with Lyla in charge of Argus, we know that we can trust them, especially since Barry does." Jefferson said.

"Not only Barry, but so does Oliver Queen and that man has serious trust issues." John said.

"What is the big deal about this Oliver guy. You guys never told me?" Jefferson asked as the others looked at him too.

"Oliver Queen is the Green Arrow. He was the first hero in the old reality and a mentor to nearly every hero in it. He's still seen as the best of the best and he's the one who lit the spark to allow the universe to be recreated. It's complicated." John said.

"Sounds like it, but it ends with Oliver Queen being a big hero." Jen said.

"Yep. And he's also my best friend." John said, right as the perimeter alarms sounded.

"They're here." Gambi said as he, Lyla and Dig reached for weapons while Lynn pulled Anissa down as both Jefferson and Jen charged their watches with 10 volts of electricity, right in time for the ASA team barge in to find Black Lightning and Lightning waiting for them.

"Surprise." Black Lightning said as he and his daughter blasted electricity at them.

"We've got meta hostiles inside." one of the commandos shouted.

"Send in our own enhanced asset." the lead agent, who's voice they all recognized to belong to Major Grey, shouted.

"Do you think they mean?" Lightning asked, right as they heard a growl.

"Yep. It's Grace. Remember, stun only. Defend yourself, but don't try to hurt her too badly." Black Lightning said and Lightning nodded, since they both knew that not only would Anissa never forgive them if they hurt Grace badly, even if it was in self defense, but they also knew that Grace was not acting of her own free will.

However, before they had a chance to think more, they were both tackled by Grace in her leopard form.

"Hey there kitty kitty." Lightning said.

"Wait, don't." Anissa said as she got up from her hiding place, since powers or not, she wasn't going to sit on the sidelines anymore. Not when Grace was this close.

"Anissa, don't." Lynn said, but her daughter didn't listen.

"Grace, stop." Anissa said, causing the leopard to turn to face her and growled.

"Your name is Grace Choi, but it used to be Shay Li Wylde. I know because you told me. I know everything about you Grace. I know that you're a fighter, that you've never let anyone push you around before. You are not a weapon." Anissa said as to everyone's shock, Grace actually shifted back to her human form.

"You don't know anything about me." Wylde said.

"Actually I do. I know you were abandoned by your parents. I know you grew up on the streets until you were abducted and sold into servitude. I know everything about you Grace. And I know that I love you." Anissa said, tears coming to her eyes as she tentatively took steps towards the other woman, who actually seemed to be listening to her.

"What are you doing, kill her." Grey said, only to be blasted by Lightning.

"Shut the hell up." Lightning said with a smirk, since that was surprisingly satisfying.

"I don't know you. How could you know that?" Grace asked.

"You do know me Grace. In another life. You loved me as much as I loved you and I can't lose you again. So please, come home." Anissa begged.

"I don't know why, but I can tell you're telling the truth." Wylde said.

"I am. I know you Grace. I know you've never let anyone walk over you since you got your powers so don't start now. I know that you're still in there, so take control and show these clowns what happens to those who mess with you." Anissa said as Grace's eyes closed and to everyone's surprise, she collapsed.

"It would appear that Wylde may need a reset." Grey said as she regained consciousness.

"Don't you touch her." Anissa said angrily.

"And what are you going to do about it. Kill them all and get Wylde back to base for a reset." Grey said and Anissa didn't even know what was happening, all she knew was that she was reacting on instinct as she stomped her foot, but to everyone's shock, including her's, it generated a shockwave.

"How did you do that?" Lightning asked as the wave knocked the ASA agents back before they could even fire their rounds.

"I don't know, but I think I have my powers back." Anissa said as she clapped and sure enough, she was able to generate another blast wave.

"Fall back." Grey said as she and her agents were left with no choice but to retreat. Without Wylde.
