"Kefira! Over here!"

Kefira had passed through the barrier, still holding onto Neville's hand as they spotted Rosemary waving them over excitedly. As usual, the entire Walsh family was there to greet the youngest and welcome her home. When they grew closer, Kefira' s hand slipped from Neville's as her parents pulled her into a big hug.

Her father lifted her off her feet causing her to giggle as her feet dangled. She ended up losing both shoes as they slid off her feet and hit the ground.

"Dad!" She laughed. "Put me down!"

Cardel placed the girl back on her feet, bringing Alana to grimace as Kefira's socks touched the dirty ground. Her sisters were next in greeting, but the family also included Neville. He was quite surprised as they all brought him in for a hug.

"So did you two have an exciting year?" Cardel asked them with a bright smile.

The two exchanged looks with one another.

"That's one word to describe it," Neville responded.

"Well, we can't wait to hear all about the tournament!" Alana exclaimed. "Kefi, you'll have to tell us all about it on the way home."

"Uh...about that..."Kefira began, scratching the top of her head. "Isn't Bandile coming over tonight?"

"Of course, he should be arriving by the time we get home. But we have a long trip ahead of us, sweetheart..." Her father said.

"Yeah, I know but I just want to tell you all at once," she said. "We can talk about other things during the trip?"

"What's more exciting than a wizard tournament, Kefira?" Lottie scoffed.

"Plenty, Lottie, trust me."

Kefira turned to Neville with a smile.

"Make sure you keep your promise," she told him.

"Of course I will," he said with a shy grin as he looked at the ground. As they were saying goodbye, he quickly noted that the entire Walsh family was watching them and his grandmother was approaching where they were standing.

Kefira turned to face her family with a look.

"Do you guys mind?" She said making a shooing motion with their hands. They all turned away giving her the opportunity to kiss Neville right on the lips.

He expected it to be a quick peck but as her lips lingered for a few moments more, he was pretty sure he had turned into a puddle of mush.

He heard her giggle after she pulled away.

"Have a nice summer, Nevs, I'll see you soon," she said.

"I hope you have a nice soon too and I'll see you summer,"he said before his face turned red. "I mean..."

"It's okay, Nevs, I understood," she said before kissing his cheek and heading towards her family where her sisters had been peeking the whole time.

However, in passing, Kefira gave Augusta Longbottom a hug before running off, leaving the woman stunned for a moment.

Neville laughed to himself as Kefira and her family disappeared from view before he made his way over to his grandmother.

It was going to be an interesting summer for the Longbottom family, after all, Neville had a promise to keep.
