Julie's POV

"I'll get it!" I said getting off the sofa and going over to answer the door. It was finally the weekend and Che was coming around, hopefully there won't be any fists being thrown at each other

"Hey Julie" Uncle Andrew said, my face instantly fell at the sight of him. I didn't answer instead I just called Mam to come over

"Hi Andrew" she said dryly

"Come in" she moved aside letting them in

"Now this wasn't me idea, I don't like the thought of Che staying for the weekend but he insisted" he said dropping his night bag by the door

"No one is forcing you to let him stay" I said rolling my eyes

"Well like I said. Me boy is insisting" he shot back

"Well he should, after everything he did" I shot back

"You should watch yourself little girl" He hissed

"Don't talk to her like that" Mam said pulling me into her protectively

"Che, enjoy your weekend." He ignored Mam giving his son a quick hug before showing himself out

"So looks like you got a temporary souvenir as well" I said pointing out his bruised cheek

"Yeah.. didn't know a girl could hit so hard" he laughed lightly

"You're lucky Mum pulled me off so quickly" I winked trying to ease the tension out of the room

"Why don't you guys go out to the back garden, Kimba and I will make you guys a few snacks" Mam offered

"Yeah okay"

"Come on Che" I said leading us out to the back

"Your back garden is a park" he said in awe

"Too posh for you?" I said making him blush

"I don't really think you're posh" he smirked

"Not even a little" I said nudging him a bit

"Hey you play football?" he asked seeing the abandoned soccer ball on the grass

"Some what" I shrugged walking to the middle of the grass picking it up

"Pass it over here then" he said running some distance. I kicked the ball straight to him

"Damn! not bad!" he said kicking it back, I decided to challenge him a bit. I kicked the ball into the air jumping up a bit kicking the ball back still hovered off the ground making his jaw drop

"As if you fcking just did that!" he said running over to me while kicking the ball along

"You know I was thinking for trying out for the schools team" I told him bouncing the ball off my ankle while speaking to him

"You should! you'd definitely make it" he encouraged

"Think so?" I asked doubting myself

"I know so! You'll make it for sure" he said patting my shoulder

"JULIE!" Mam said calling me over

"That's Mam letting us know that snacks are ready" I said making him laugh

"Come on" I said running with him to the patio table

"Hey Kimberley" He greeted Mum this time with a friendly handshake

"You kids better be getting along" she warned him

"Oh yeah we are" he reassured her

"Good, Cheryl and I will be inside if you guys need anything" She said taking Mam's hand and heading back inside

Kim's POV

"Come here you" I said tickling Chez's sides making her squirm as we stepped into the front room

"Kimbaaaaa" she giggled

"God I love you" I said kissing her hard on the lips

"How much do you love us?" she smiled widely wrapping her arms around my neck

"So much it hurts" I said rubbing my nose against her neck inhaling her beautiful scent

"You drive us crazy" She sighed as we swayed back and forth my arms wrapped tightly around her waist pulling her as close as possible with my face in the crock of her neck

"I can't wait to marry you" I mumbled against her neck

"I can't wait to be your wife" she said taking my face in her hands kissing me sweetly

Julie's POV

"Hey do you want to get some ice cream? there's this really good ice cream parlor down the street?" I asked Che

"Yeah sure!" He said getting off his seat

"Let me just tell my parents first" I said getting a nod in return. I stood up and walked back into the house and in through the front room

"Okay are you fcking for real right now! THERES A FXKING BEDROOM FOR SH!T LIKE THIS!" I screamed covering up my eyes. Mam instantly covered up Mums naked body with her own

"I lost fcking track of how many times I have fcking walked in on you guys!!" I groaned still with my eyes covered

"Erm... was there something you needed?" Mam asked

"Che and I are going for ice cream, next time I won't ask! aaghhhh! bye" I said running out quickly grabbing Che's arm as he waited by the door and stormed out of the house

"What was all the screaming about?" he asked once we made it onto the road walking at a normal pace

"Arghhh you don't even want to know" I cringed just remembering

"That bad aye?" he giggled

"Not even close!" we walked through my favorite ice cream parol Berries Ice Cream shop

"Hey Uncle Steve!" I said cheerfully giving him a hug

"Hey there Kiddo! whose this then?" he asked nodding at Che

"This is my cousin Che" I smiled proudly throwing my arm over Che's shoulder

"Gotta give him the Berrie experience" I added

"I've got just the thing" he went behind the counter and began to make us a monster towered ice cream

"You're going to love this" I said walking Che and I to a booth. Uncle Steve came over with a huge ice cream tower placing it between Che and I

"Wow!" Che laughed looking at it with wide eyes

"Wait until you taste it" I said shoveling a spoon full into my mouth and moaning out at how amazing it tasted. Turns out Che isn't all that bad, he's pretty fun and he is a gentlemen apart from the fact he punched me in the face. We look like a bunch of fools eating ice cream with bruised cheeks, we laugh about it now. I can see myself being good friends with Che and it's an added bonus because he is family

"Why does that kid keep staring here?" Che asked nodding his head behind me, I turned around and saw Jake staring right at us

"Agh fcking loser" I said as I turned around

"That's my ex boyfriend" I rolled my eyes

"What's happened there then?" he asked

"He erm.. he cheated on me" I sighed sadly spooning a spoon full of ice cream

"Cheated on you? why would someone do that?" he asked, he seemed to get upset which was a nice change usually people just tell me 'its okay you deserve better'

"Guess I didn't fulfill his needs" I shrugged

"You want to make him jealous?" he grinned

"Why would I want to do that?" I asked giggling

"Because he won't look away... here move over" he said before getting out of his seat and coming over to sit beside me

"Just pretend you like us" he said making me laugh

"Is he looking?... don't make it obvious" I said I could feel my heart thumping against my chest

"It's definitely working.. he's coming over this way" he chuckled. Che picked up his spoon and began to feed me some ice cream

"Hey Julie" Jake said

"Oh hi Jake" I said covering my mouth as I finished the ice cream

"Whose this?" He asked looking at Che

"This is-" Che cut me off

"A good friend" He said pulling me closer to him letting me rest my head on his shoulder

"And who are you then?" Che asked cockily

"A friend" Jake replied bluntly

"Hmmm don't think you're the same kind of friend that I am" Che laughed in his face, I could see Jake getting upset by the way he clenched his fists together

"Run along.. you're wasting our one-on-one time" Che shooed him away making me hold in my laugh

"Better watch the way you're talking to me kid" Jake spat making Che stand up to face him

"What's that you said? who you calling a kid?" Che said poking his finger forcefully against jakes chest

"You better back off before I hurt you" Jake spat making Che laugh

"You don't know who you're messing with" and that was when I stepped in

"Boys. Tone it down yeah? we're in a fcking ice cream parlor! Che come on we're leaving" I said taking his hand and leaving the parlor

"Hey Che!?" Jake shouted following us out

"Wha-" before Che could finish his sentence Jakes fist came flying across Che's jaw. Che quickly straightened up pounding against Jakes face making him bleed from his mouth and nose

"STOP!" I screamed pulling Che off him

"That's for fcking cheating on her" He said slamming his fist against Jakes face once more

"And this is for being a prick" and one final punch before Che stood up flexing his bleeding knuckles

"You better w-watch your fcking back!" Jake stood up slowly wobbling back and forth speaking weakly as he spit blood on the floor

"No asshole! you better watch your back" Che spat back

Julie's POV

"Hide your knuckle" I whispered to Che before opening the front door. I signaled for him to go up to my room, leaving me to go into the kitchen to sneakily grab the first aid kit. I slowly crept out of the kitchen with the box in my hand running up the stairs as fast as I could before my parents come popping out of no where and catching me

"Did anyone see you?" he asked looking terrified

"No thank god!" I said letting out a sigh of relief

"Here give me your hand" I said taking him into the ensuite

"Hop on" I said patting on the bathroom sink

"If I break it I'm sorry from now" he laughed

"It's marble, highly doubt your fat ass will break it" I said getting a mock look in return

"You ready?" I asked with my nose scrunched up holding the cotton swob soaked in medicine

"I'll probably scream" he said covering his eyes and holding his hand out

"Well this is what happens when you fight" I said pressing it down onto his bleeding knuckles with the swob getting a yelp in return

"I did it for you's you know" he said removing his hand from his eyes

"Thanks, I appreciate it" I smiled sincerely

"Julie?" I heard Mum's voice coming through my room. I had the ensuite door shut, she came knocking on it

"You in here sweetheart?" Mum asked with concern

"Y-yeah I'm in here" I said biting my lower lip, Che looked at me like he was about to pass out

"Open the door honey" she said knocking again

"Erm... why?" I said feeling my heart pounding against my chest

"Julie. Open this door" she said in a stern tone

"I-I can't" I said trying to come up with something better

"And why not?" she asked trying to open the door but it was locked

"I Um I'm naked" I said getting nudge from Che

"Where's Che?" she asked

"Oh Che... Where's Che.. Ouch!" I said pinching Che back and mouthing 'What the fck!?'

"Julie open this god damn door right this second" she said making me take a deep breath for what's to come. I opened it slightly popping my head out

"Hey Mum" I said giving her my best smile

"Julie open this door" she said forcing herself in

"What have you done!?" she said looking at Che's knuckle

"Did you touch her!?!" Mum said taking my face into her hands examining me closely

"No Mum liste-" she cut me off

"I don't know where you fcking came from but we don't allow violence in this house!!" she shouted at him

"What's going on in here?" Mam said coming into the bathroom not giving me a chance to defend Che

"Did he touch you?" Now it was Mam's turn to snap

"No he didn't do any-" she cut me off

"That is it Che I'm calling your father this instant!" Mam said pointing her finger at him while yelling

"WILL YOU GUYS LISTEN!!" I screamed making them jump a little

"Che didn't touch me! Leave him alone and don't go calling his dad either!" I said snatching the phone from Mam

"Then explain this?" Mum said pointing at Che's knuckles

"Jake was being a prick! We went to get ice cream and he was there.. Che was just defending me" I sighed

"Oh... I'm sorry Che" Mum apologized

"It's okay Kim, he needed a good beating" he said trying to lighten the mood

"Come here let us get a good look at it" Mam said going over to him and looking at it closely

"The cut isn't that deep, give us some cream and a plaster" Mam instructed and I did what she wanted as she bandaged him up

"There good as new.. Thank you Che, for looking after me girl" Mam said giving him a hug

"Aye it's no problem.. She's family" Che said looking at me with a wide smile
