Julie's POV

"Lib you want to go get changed?" I said after awhile of dancing around in these killer heels

"Yeah can I borrow some clothes from you?" she asked

"I'll let you borrow clothes if you wear a pair of onesies with me" I said laughing

"That's even better" we giggled running into the house and up to my room

"Jules since we're up here let me give you your present" she said

"You didn't have to get me anything Lib" I sighed

"Shut up! wait here" she said leaving me in my room alone. I took this opportunity to change into a pink onesie and release my hair from the tight ponytail. I wiped off my red lip in the process

"You look beyond cute right now!" Libby said as she walked in with a big box in hand

"It's not much but I hope you like it" she said setting it on the ground

"Help me open it?" I asked and she nodded tearing away the gift wrap. I opened the box and inside held canvas paper along with paint brushes and paints

"I figured you'd want to paint from home, it has a canvas stand as well" she said showing me it, I don't know why I got emotional.. maybe because she actually cared and got me something that held a meaning to me

"Thanks Lib *sniff* you're the best friend a girl could ever ask for! thank you for today" I said as we hugged

"You're welcome Jules! happy birthday" she said kissing my forehead and wiping my tears away

"Come on let's get you in a onesie" I said walking over to my closet and pulling out and helping her put it on

"Here turn around let me zip it up for you" I ordered her

"Look they even have little ears on the hoodie" she laughed pulling her hoodie on along with mine

"We need a picture" I giggled pulling out my phone, we stood by the floor length mirror she rested her arm around my shoulders as we smiled to the camera. I posted it on Instagram with the caption

"Best Friends! My number one and I wearing matching onesies #BirthdayBehavior 😝💓"

"Here's some shoes" I gave her some slip ons doing the same for me before heading back down to the party

"You guys look so cute!" Mam said coming over and pulling me by my hoodie smacking her lips all over my face

"Mam!! stop!!" I said trying to get her off

"I have to give you's 16 kisses" she said continuing her assault

"Me too me too!!" Mum said running over to us

"Hold her down" she said to Mam. Mam stood behind me hugging me tight forcing my arms to stay at my side. Mum kissed me 16 times before I was released

"You guys are so weird!" I said wiping my face

"Jules can I talk to you a sec?" Mam said holding my hand

"Sure..." I said, why can't she talk to me in front of everyone. Instead she took me to the side where there was no soul in sight

"I got you something" she said putting her hand in her pocket

"What is it?" I asked suddenly worried why she was so nervous

"Remember that one day we went to the antique shop?" she said reminding me, I nodded in reply

"I found something" she said keeping her hand in her pocket as she spoke

"What is it?"

"I found you this" she said pulling out the heart locket neckless I was once torn apart from. I began to cry as she opened the locket and revealed the pictures of my foster parents and I inside of it

"M-Mam" I didn't know what to say the floods of tears were storming down my face. She kissed my forehead as she clasped the neckless around my neck. I fell into her arms as she opened them up

"I love you so much" I cried into the crook of her neck as I wrapped my arms around her shoulders

"I love you too sweetheart" she kissed my temple repeatedly as I calmed down in her hold. She soothed me as she rubbed my back comforting me. I pulled away wiping my tears away

"I knew something was up when I asked you if you had found anything! you hesitated then" I giggled with a sniff

"I'm not a very good liar am I?" she said with a chuckle while stroking my damp cheeks

"Thank you" I said kissing her cheek while placing my hand over the locket

"Come here" she said giving me another hug before wrapping her arm around my waist and heading back to the party

"Where'd you guys go?" Mum said coming over to my side

"Mam was just giving me something" I said smiling at Mam. The party had died down and Mum decided to set a bonfire, Jason was still here, along with mam and mums family and friends, and of course Libby. Jake had to leave early because his father needed him home. Today has been perfect, I was sitting cuddled up by mam and mum on the patio sofa, everyone was roasting marshmallows and laughing. I couldn't ask for anything better

"Where you going?" I asked mum as she sat up to leave

"Just getting something to drink" she said abandoning my side and going in to the house

"Today's been perfect" I whispered to Mam

"I'm glad you enjoyed it bubba" she said patting my backside as I wrapped my arm around her waist and rested my head on her chest

"Julie I got you something" Jason said getting off his seat and grabbing a birthday present. I sat up next to mam and took the gift from him tearing the gift wrapping carefully. I opened the small box to reveal keys

"Keys?" I asked confused

"Yeah I got you an ATV" he said excitedly

"Jason!" Mam snapped getting up

"What?" he said looking from mam to me.. why would he get me a power wheel dirt bike?

"You don't go get me daughter a dangerous 4x4 dirt bike! You should have spoken to us before buying it!" Mam hissed taking the keys from me

"Now this is her gift! She can choose what she wants" he said snatching the keys back from Mam and putting them in my hand

"I know what's best for me daughter!" Mam said taking the keys back

"I beg to differ" he scuffed

"Yo-" I cut mam off

"Stop it!! you guys are ruining everything!" I yelled before storming inside. I ran into Mum as she was coming out with my birthday cake lit up by sparklers, I cried at the sight and ran up to my room shutting the door and falling onto my bed

Cheryl's POV

"Look what you fcking went and did!" I snapped at Jason

"What I did!? you're the one that wouldn't let her have the present" he snapped

"What kind of grown man gets a fcking dirt bike for their 16 year old daughter! are you fcking okay in the head! do you not know how dangerous they are!!" I yelled

"Enough!!!" Kimba yelled putting the cake down and looking at me with anger

"You don't behave like this around our daughter!... Olivia can you please go check on her" Kim said coming over to us, Olivia nodded and walked back into the house

"It's Julie's birthday! you don't argue over a present... Jason you should no better than to get her something that could harm her. At the end of the day it's Julie's present and she can choose whether to keep it or not" Kim said

"Well will wait and see what Julie wants" Jason said before taking back his seat

"I'm going to go see Jules" I said sighing and walking back into the house and up the stairs

"H-he's going to ruin everything" I heard Julie cry to Olivia as I stood outside her room

"No he's not Jay, he was just giving you a present" Olivia said comforting her

"N-no mam was so m-mad! S-she's going to get mad at me now" Julie sobbed and I took this opportunity to walk in

"Come here" I said sitting beside her and taking her into me arms

"I'm not mad at you bubba" I said running me fingers through her hair as she sobbed into me chest

Julie's POV

"H-he's ruined everything" I hiccuped

"Today was going so perfect" I added wiping my tears away and sitting up

"Today isn't finished yet, and we'll talk about what happened later okay? today is your day and I don't want problems happening on your special day" Mam said as Olivia walked out of the room giving us privacy

"I would always choose you" I said looking at her

"What are you on about babe?" Mam said moving my hair out of my face

"If I was to ever have to choose, I would choose you." I said confidently, her face broke into a cute pout with a little frown. I think she was trying to control her emotions but her eyes were failing as they glistened

"Jason buying me a ATV is stupid I know but I don't want it to cause problems" I sighed

"It's not going to cause problems"

"But it already did. And Mum was bringing out the cake I could see how upset she got when she saw me running in" I said

"Why don't we go back down and blow out the candles together" she said offering me a smile

"I'd like that" she helped me out of bed and took my hand as we walked back out to the garden. All eyes on us as we walked in hand in hand

"Mum if you go back in and bring out the cake I'll act surprised" I said to mum with a laugh. Everyone began to laugh and Mum got up and kissed my forehead

"If you don't act surprised you get no cake" she winked before taking the cake back in

"Come sit next to us" Mam said taking my hand and sitting us back down on the patio sofa. Mum emerged from the doors once again with the cake lit up with sparklers, everyone began to sing me happy birthday. I took this opportunity to look around and take in the sight in front of me. They were all here for me, they were here to celebrate my birthday. They cared for me, I had a family who loved me and it showed. My face broke into a smile at the thought of my life and how it turned into something amazing

"Make a wish" Mam said I took Mum and Mams hand in mine

"Blow out the candles with me?" I said to them. We closed our eyes and blew out the candles inSync. I wished for nothing because I had something better than any wish. No wish would ever make my life any better because I had a family. My Family.
