Part 162
Kim's POV
I woke up alone the next morning, I had asked Cheryl to sleep in one of the guest bedrooms - for some reason I wasn't comfortable with her sleeping in our bed. Our bed.. Was it even ours anymore? It was the first night that I had slept in this room without her arms wrapped around mine; her warmth warming my heart - her tender kisses waking me each and every sunrise and sunset.
I woke up cold, and alone - to top everything off I had crucial pain of baby Isabella kicking me like a boxer practicing against a punching bag. I groaned getting out of bed, throwing my silk house robe on not covering much - but just enough.
"Fck! Fck! Fck! Fck!" I winced hopping in my spot - close to tears as the sudden shooting pain came from the bottom of my foot. I had just opened the door and was ready to step out when a stabbing pain shot through me.
I looked down and saw a red rose with a note attached to it - of course Cheryl wasn't wise enough to remove the thorns. I tutted not being able to pick up the cute gesture she had just done. I'm pregnant for gods sake! I can't bend anymore. I dragged the rose with my big toe all the way to the staircase - going down a few steps until I was able to reach the rose; smiling smugly at my cleverness I opened the note
'Good morning my beautiful Kimba,
Today's the first morning I didn't wake up to your glowing beauty, unable to kiss those lips good morning. I've left you a rose - a red rose knowing just how much you love your flowers - the red represents me heart; The only heart that beats for you. I hope this note has brought a smile to your face, you deserve to be smiling each and everyday.
Xx Your Cheryl xX'
The smile was beaming across my face - she always knew how to make me smile. I missed her, I did - but she needed to do better than this. I hid my smile perfectly as I walked into the kitchen to be met by Cheryl making some pancakes, bacon, and eggs - all assortments of breakfast food
"Good morning" she smiled shyly looking at me for a brief second before turning her attention back to the pancakes on the stovetop
"I erm... I made you the bacon extra crispy. I know you love em like that" She couldn't look at me for too long, as if my eyes were going to come out at her. I stood there stunned by all the gestures she had been doing
"Good morning" I replied noticing I hadn't said anything yet
"I'll um.. I'll put you a plate" She was nervous, and I found it beyond cute. I nodded taking a seat in the kitchen booth table like set we had built in. She came over with a plate full of food smiling shyly at me as she set it down in front of me
"I made you a cuppa too" She said running back to the stovetop and making me my cup of tea - I was a loss for words

Julie's POV
I woke up to the smell of bacon lingering in the air, my eyes instantly shooting open. Fry up! I jumped out of bed with a grin on my face, grabbing my phone and flying down the stairs - straight into the kitchen
"Mum you made me a fry up!" I giggled, but stopping quickly in my tracks - my smile disappearing as I saw Mam on the stovetop; suddenly not very hungry anymore
"Good morning bubba" she greeted me, I didn't answer - I didn't make eye contact with her; I quickly walked over to Mum and sat down beside her
"Are you hungry?" Mum whispered to me - I laid my hand out on the table resting my head in it as Mum stroked my hair
"No" I shook my head, I could feel Mam's eyes on us
"You were all cheery before you walked in, why the sudden change?" She asked, she knew why I had suddenly became upset - she always wanted reassurance.
"Your mood can change" She smirked, grabbing my hand and pulling me into her side attacking me with kisses making me laugh uncontrollably as she tickled my sides
"S-Stop!" I howled, she hugged me tightly giving me one last kiss on my temple - keeping her arm around me, she grabbed a bacon strip with her freehand feeding me it. I let her feed me the breakfast - I loved it when Mum was like this, babying me; it was nice.
"Here have some of this" She said scooping up some eggs, I saw Mam come over holding a plate of food - if it was mine I'm not talking it.
"Here peanut, I put you a plate together" she said, setting the plate full of food in front of me. I looked at for a brief second before pushing it away. Mum was about to say something until my phone rang, silently thanking whoever was calling me. Margret.
"Hello?" I answered cheerfully, both my parents' eyes on me
"Hey sweetheart! How are you? I know its early, but I wanted to catch you before you made any plans for the day" She sounded so happy when she spoke to me, her voice was always full of joy
"Well, it's a good thing you called me this early" I giggled - my parents are so damn nosey, Mum practically has her ear in the phone
"I was wondering if you wanted to come by my house! I did promise to teach you how to paint, and in return you were going to teach me how to sketch" I couldn't help the smile that was spreading wider and wider with each second that passed during this phone call
"Really?" I squealed
"Yeah! I've went and bought canvases and the paints yesterday! So come by in about two hours or so? Is that good for you?" She asked, I was nodding and then I remembered she couldn't see me
"Yeah okay! I'll be there in a few" We said our goodbyes and ended the call, I stared at my lock screen as Libby and my picture disappeared into darkness
"So who was that?" Mum asked, bringing me out of my happy daze
"Oh that was Mrs. Jackson" I smiled setting my phone down
"What'd she want?" Mam asked, I chose to continue ignoring her - she can't act like everything is okay, like I didn't see Mum's marks, and I cant ignore the heart rate that picks up every time she's around because I'm scared to death from her.
"Julie" Mum said
"Hmm?" I said, suddenly my fingers becoming more interesting than anything else at the moment
"Your Mam asked you a question" She said, I huffed getting off my seat
"Julie! Don't you dare walk out of this room! Get back here" Mum said sternly making me stop at the kitchen door
"What?" I snapped, folding my arms across my chest
"Your Mam asked you a question" She repeated
"I'm not answering her question, maybe if I give her the wrong answer she'll come hit me or something" I spat walking out of the kitchen and straight up to my bedroom to get changed for the day

Kim's POV
Cheryl's chest was rising and falling quickly - her chin trembling, I was waiting for the sob to echo throughout the kitchen. She hid her face in her hands crying hysterically in them. I immediately got off my seat going over and sitting beside her, pulling her into a hug.
"S-She hates us" She hiccupped, I was trying my best to sooth her - doing anything I could to comfort her. This was something to be dealt with care and caution because anything I might say wrong will make everything worse.
"Shh, she doesn't hate you. You just need to talk to her, you can't just go back to the way things were; you were acting as if nothing happened. You need sit her down and talk to her" I said, she nodded clinging onto me - she was like a vulnerable child
"I-I hate her hanging out with that woman" She confessed straightening up and wiping her tears away
"But she's happy when she's hanging out with her.. I'd rather her be smiling than crying. I'd also like you to be smiling right now" I said giving her a poke getting a dimpled smile from her
"I really need to talk to her" She said, and I agreed with her - because she really did need to talk to Julie, and by the looks of it, Julie didn't want to talk to her
"Bye Mum! I'm leaving" She shouted and before I could say anything the front door slammed shut. I gave Cheryl an apologetic look
"Its okay, lets have our breakfast" She looked like a child getting rejected by the kids on the school playground - my heart was breaking
**
Julies POV
"This is harder than I thought" I giggled, we had been sitting in her arts studio - it was the most gorgeous room I had ever seen, floor length windows looking out to her back garden, it was a chilly autumn day; leaves were now changing into beautiful reds, oranges, and yellows. It was mesmerizing my eyes locked with the vibrant colors as I continued to stroke my paintbrush against the canvas.
"You're getting pretty good at it" She smiled observing my art work, I had no idea what I was painting - but I soon found myself drawing the leaves that spellbound me
"You think so?" I asked, my face scrunching up with a small pout forming on my lips
"Yeah! Its really beautiful, I'd buy something like that and hang it up in my front room" She said truthfully, I loved spending time with Margret - it was always so peaceful and my heart always seemed to swell up with the love she projected into me. I was always so full of love when I hung out with her.
"What do you say I make us some grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup for lunch?" She asked, we were home alone - Mr. Jackson had taken his kids out for the day, so we had piece and quiet; it was a nice change
"I've never had that before" I admitted
"Never had grilled cheese with tomato soup!?" She gasped making me laugh at her expression
"Is that a bad thing?" I couldn't stop laughing
"No just surprising.. What do you eat at home?" She asked curiously
"Mostly take-away" Her eyes grow wide
"That is unhealthy! I'm going to go make us something.. take-away everyday.." She murmured to herself as she walked out - she was so motherly
**
Kim's POV
"Is she just going to stay there all day?" Cheryl asked pacing back and forth
"Chezza" I sighed, I was starting to hate her pacing - every time she paced it always led to something
"Right.. Hey why don't we go out?" She said coming over and sitting beside me
"Where do you want to go?" I asked, I was glad she changed the subject and calmed down a bit
"I want to take you out for some dinner.. what do you say?"
"Cheryl.." I sighed
"What?" She asked, shifting in her seat uncomfortably
"You don't have to try so hard you know" I said, she had been running around me all day - and I was getting a bit sick of it
"I can't take me wife out for dinner?" She was getting upset, I could see it in her eyes - the sparkle slowly disappearing
"Of course you can.. Okay we'll go out for a nice meal" I smiled and her smile grew - we could use a night out together
**
Margret's POV
"I just messaged Mum, she said it was fine" Julie said coming back over and sitting beside me on the sofa
"Good I'm glad, are you hungry?" I asked
"We just had all that junk! I think I'm good for the night" She giggled, I smiled at her for a few seconds before pulling her into my side cuddling her as we watched the film
"I like hanging out with you" She yawned, her body relaxing into mine
"I'm glad, I like hanging out with you too" I smiled sadly, she reminded me of my daughter so much - I didn't want to get emotional right now, I was taking in every second of this. My fingers running through her hair, just like the way they used to run through Megan's hair.
"Love you" Julie whispered as dreamland took over, her breathing evening into a calm rhythm. That's when the tears trickled down my cheeks
"Love you too" I sniffed kissing her head, Its like my daughter had never gone.
