Julie's POV

"Cheryl?" I called out through the house

"Kitchen" came the reply and I walked through the kitchen

"What's up?" she asked as she made her tea

"Erm..." I didn't know how to ask

"Is everything okay?" she asked coming up to me and stroking my cheek

"Ah.. I was wondering... Is it okay if I have a friend over?" I asked shyly

"Course you can! do I know them?" she asked

"Not really.. Well yeah maybe a little.. it's Jake" I said

"O Jake okay got it" I don't think she likes him very much

"Do you not like him?" I said with my eyebrows furrowed and a frown plastered across my face

"It's not that, I just didn't get a good impression from him the first time, maybe I'll see a different side of him today" she explained

"Okay.. well I'm going to tell him it's okay then?" I wanted a confirmation from her

"Yeah go on" she said with a smile

"Thank you"

I said and I went and called Jake letting him know it was okay. Now what do I wear!?!?! I walked into my wardrobe and looked through it like a lunatic. A dress? no no that says I'm trying to hard. Ummmm high waisted shorts? okay that's cute high waisted shorts with what top though?? this graphic crop top is cute! okay now some accessories... Um gold watch or bracelets?? Definitely gold watch, oh and this gold statement necklace will look cute with it. shoes, what shoes?? definitely the floral docs. Perfect. I went into the ensuite and did my hair and makeup. Doing my hair into loose curls making my hair look like long beautiful chocolate curls. I never realized how nice my hair was until I started to actually do something with it. I headed downstairs getting some snacks ready for us

"Ooo someone looks cute" Kimberley said looking at my outfit

"Too much?" I asked self-consciously at my outfit

"No perfect! what you doing?" she asked taking a carrot and dipping into the veggie dip

"Um Jake is coming over" I said making her wiggle her eyebrows

"Is this a date" she said raising one groomed eyebrow

"No we're just friends" I confirmed

"Yeah that's how it always starts.. I still need to get to know Jake tho. didn't get a good impression of him the first time" she said repeating what Cheryl had said

"Have you been talking to Cheryl?" I asked a bit annoyed

"No why?" she asked confused

"Because she said the same thing" I said going back to grabbing snacks and drinks from the fridge

"Cheryl and I are one so we think the same" she said with a wink

"What ever" I said grabbing a cutting board and cutting cheese on it. There was a knock on the door

"I'll get it!!" I screamed out running to the door and stopping infront of it with my hand on the handle trying to catch my breath and fixing my outfit before opening the door

"Hey!" I said as I swung open the door

"Wow" she said looking at me

"Wow right back! come in" I said. God he looked so good. He had baggy skinny denim on with a pair of loafers and a t-shirt that showed off his muscles. His hair was done perfectly. He had it blow-dried to one side and his blue eyes beamed out. He walked in and gave me a hug. He smelled amazing

"I brought some ice cream! wasn't sure what you liked so I got one of each" he said holding the bags up for me to see

"Looks like we've got a lot of ice cream to be eating later" I said making him laugh. We walked through the kitchen and I took the bags from him taking the containers out and putting them into the freezer. I could feel his eyes on me. I turned around and caught him staring

"What you looking at?" I asked cheekily making him go red

"Ermm I-- ah-- nice fridge" he said making me laugh

"Yeah it is a pretty good looking fridge" I said winking at him making sure he knows that I knew he wasn't talking about the fridge. Cheryl and Kimberley walked into the kitchen as I was still putting the ice cream into the fridge container after container. Ice lolly after ice lolly

"Hello Ms. Cole, Ms. Walsh" he said politely shaking their hands and I couldn't help but laugh. He turned around and glared at me

"Sorry" I said waving my hands in front of my face to compose myself

"So Jake how old are you?" Cheryl began with the interrogation

"16" he replied

"Do you know our Julie is 15?" she asked and he nodded yes

"I see you didn't come in on your bike today" she asked curiously

"Ah yeah I have a car as well" he said

"Good to know" she said giving him a pat on the back

"What are you kids going to do?" Kim asked

"Just kind of hang around" I shrugged

"Oh yeah I got some films actually" he said rummaging through the bags he got and pulling out about 5 DVDs

"Oh what films?" asked Cheryl with all interest

"Transformers, The notebook, A walked to remember, I've got fast and the furious, and taken" he said

"Wasn't sure what type of films you were into so I tried my best not to get the boring stuff" he said with a laugh

"What's your favorite?" I asked

"From these?" he asked and I nodded aware Kim and Cheryl were still in the room watching me curiously. I think Cheryl knew I was hoping he'd say A Walk To Remember, I told her once that, that was the only film I ever watched and I didn't even end up getting to see how it ended

"A walk to remember, I know it's a bit of a girls film but I really enjoy watching it" he said truthfully making me smile and I could see Cheryl and Kim smiling as well from the side of my eye

"That's the only film I've ever watched and I never got to see the ending" I said

"You keep on surprising me" he said with a chuckle

"In what way?" I asked and he shrugged

"Just like yesterday you never gave anyone your number, you're up for bad and greasy food, and now you've only watched one film" he said with a smile showing off his pearly perfect white teeth

"That's me.. full of surprises" I said with a laugh

"Come on help me put these in the movie room" I said handing him the cheese and crackers platter and snack basket. He took it and went into the movie room, leaving Cheryl, Kim and I in the kitchen

"I like him" Kim and Cheryl said at the same time making me laugh

"Me too" I said shyly

"Thought he was just a friend" Kim said with a wink

"They all start off like that" I said making her laugh. I grabbed the drinks and followed Jakes tracks into the movie room

Julie's POV

"Okay okay try this now" I said putting orange sorbet ice cream with vanilla on a spoon and feeding it to Jake. We had all the ice cream containers sprawled out across the coffee table sitting across from each other experimenting with the ice cream. Mixing them up and finding our favorite flavors

"Mmmm that's actually pretty good" he said

"Really?" I said giving it as try

"Mmmm that is good" I moaned out closing my eyes

"I take it you like ice cream" he said looking at me with amusement

"A lot!" I said with a mouth film of ice cream

"Okay my turn" He said looking at the containers with a serious face. He dipped his spoon into black cherry Ice cream and black licorice Ice cream

"Oh you know that's going to be bad!!" I shrieked

"Come on you have to!" he said waving it in front of my mouth

"Fine" I opened my mouth and shrieked out of disgust

"Uh-uh-uh! No spitting it out!" he laughed pulling out his phone and recording me

"You sneaky shit" I said with the ice cream still in my mouth. I swallowed it reluctantly

"Open up let me see if there's any left" he said cheekily and I blew a raspberry at him

"Behave child" he said and I threw a cushion at him. He stopped recording and directed for me to come sit next to him

"You got Instagram?" he asked

"No what's that?" I asked confused

"Social network, do you want to have one?" he asked

"Sounds cool! yeah.. here" I handed him my phone and he went and set it up for me

"So how does it work?" I asked curiously

"Okay so first you take a picture.. come here" he said putting his arm around my shoulder pulling me closer and we both smiled at the camera

"Do you like it?" he asked getting my opinion of the picture we just took

"Yeah it's okay" I said examining the picture

"You look good don't worry" he said with his hand still around my shoulder

"Okay and then you upload it.. let's put the status as 'Movie night?'" he asked and I nodded and he posted it

"And then once you have followers people will like it.. I'll be your first follower" he said going back to his phone and following and liking my picture

"Cool" I said simply following him back.

"Ahem" Cheryl said with a raised eyebrow and Jake immediately took his hand off my shoulder

"What you doin'?" she asked

"Nothing.. Jake just made me a Instagram" I replied

"Oh add us I have one too" she said pulling out her phone

"What's your username?" she asked and I pouted while looking for my username

"It's um... JulieX" I said smiling at the fact he didn't add a last name

"Okay I added you's follow us back" she said

"Wow Cheryl you have almost 800 thousand followers" I said with wide eyes as I followed her back

"Eh what ever, come here you guys let's get picture with you's" she said to Jake and I and we went over to her and she snapped a picture of all 3 of us

"I'll post that, look out for a tag later" she winked and left us alone

"She's so weird" I said making Jake laugh

"She's cool" he said

"So what about that film?" he said

"A walk to remember?" he asked and I nodded. He pulled the cover off the sofa and sat down on the floor next to me and pulled it over us. He cautiously put his arm around my shoulder once more and pulled me closer to him. I placed my hand around his waist and snuggled into him. I sighed happily as the film began.

Julie's POV

"What!?!? she dies?" I said with tears in my eyes

"I know sad ending! but it was still good right?" he asked as he wiped my tears away I nodded and sniffed. His phone began to ring

"Hello?... Yes father.. I apologize. Okay I'll be home shortly" he hung up and sighed loudly

"How posh can you be" I laughed and he joined me

"My dad's a bit of an arse" he said rolling his eyes

"We have a lot in common then" I said and he looked at me confused

"I don't know who he is so I have this scenario in my head where he's an arsehole as well" I said and he laughed

"You've got quite the imagination" he said

"You could say that" I said standing up and helping him up as well. We walked to the front door

"Well good night" I said awkwardly

"Yeah it was fun! I'll see you back at school on Wednesday?" he asked

"You bet" I smiled showing off my dimples. I saw him look at my lips then back at my eyes. He leaned in slowly and so did I and suddenly our lips met. Fireworks exploded in my stomach. It was short and sweet.

"Good night" he said shyly walking out of the door

"Night!" I shouted as he got into his car and I shut the door smiling to myself like an idiot

"Julie's got a boyfriend!!" Cheryl yelled out

"KIMBA JULIES GOTTA BOYFRIEND!!!" she yelled louder

"Fck off!" I yelled going into the kitchen my phone buzzed and I saw that I had a Instagram notification. It was the picture we took with Cheryl earlier with a caption that read:

"My baby, with her baby!❤️👭👫💏💑😘"

"CHERYL IM GOING TO KILL YOU!!!" I screamed running up the stairs
