Annalise knew that showing how powerful she was would attract attention after all she didn't know if any of the other vampires of Kate's group or whatever the vampires called their groups were working with Hector and his cronies. She knew that what little peace there was for the moment wouldn't last, that she had to be prepared for anything and everything that would come flying her way including Hector.

"Which will you chose?" Violet asked Annalise as she looked in the mirror at her granddaughter's reflection in the background.

"What do you mean?" Annalise asked showing no emotion.

"You clearly have or well at least had to vampires willing to sacrifice their lives for you. Annalise you can't keep leading them one, especially knowing the target you have on you now." Violet said as she stood and walked to her granddaughter.

"Romance is the last thing on my mind right now-" Annalise started but Violet held up her hand silencing her granddaughter.

"It should be the first, after this war, this madness is over you want someone who will always be there. Someone rather it be immortal, vampire or whatever other madness is out there that will not run off with another while you sleep." Violet said as she led Annalise to the vanity and sat her down on the stool in front of the mirror. "Look at you, hand made angel by God himself and you deserve someone that will treat you that way. Though there are some others that through no fault of their own, cannot see past the end of their nose."

Annalise knew who her grandmother was talking about, Garrett. After knowing him all these years it wasn't hard to see that Garrett's character was not going to change. He was set in his ways and that was it. Much like Annalise was though, she wouldn't change for anyone. Then there was Carlisle and though she tried to tell herself he was just being kind she knew that she had feelings for him as well. Talk about being confused. Part of her knew that Garrett wasn't a good permanent choice and that Carlisle would be a better option not only for her but for Vivian as well. Still when did Annalise ever take the best option?

"Your time grows short, Hector will find out about the power you posses and you know he will find the stone in order to take it from you. Annalise you need to have a plan because he will likely kill me too." Violet said in a low voice.

Annalise quickly turned to her grandmother and now had tears in her eyes. Though Violet was her grandmother she seemed more like her mother since her own had died. Violet had taught her everything since her father was crazy and was only out for power.

"I have lived far past my time, I had to burry my daughter, your mother and now mother should ever have to do that immortal or not. I am ready for death and when I die my power will increase yours and it will be able to protect you and Vivian." Violet smiled sadly as she touched Annalise's cheek.

Annalise knew in her heart that her grandmother was right, though that didn't help stop her tears anymore. Violet however would not have any tears and stood Annalise from her seat.

"Save your tears for another time, for now go sort out things for the worse. If I were you I would talk to the doctor first." Violet giggled and gave Annalise a wink. "He's quite handsome and you know it."

Annalise rolled her eyes and did manage a giggle as she walked out of the room. Carefully walking down the stairs she went to Carlisle's den. There he was looking through books that looked to be older than her. She didn't think that was possible but she knocked on the doorway as she looked inside. Carlisle looked up and did a double take realizing it was Annalise just dressed in regular clothes that once again she borrowed from Alice.

"Are you alright? You used a lot of power out there." Carlisle said standing straight.

"Power is what I came to talk to you about, now that I have shown my true power it is only a matter or time until Hector returns for me and if I don't go with him willingly he will try and take not only my powers from me but my immortality as well." Annalise says as she stepped inside the den.

"Is that even possible? I assumed the only way to kill an immortal would be to remove their head like you told us." Carlisle said looking at Annalise confused.

"There is another way, a forbidden way. There's an ancient stone that is suppose to be hidden. It's power is to be able to strip everything away from the immortal. Life, immortality, and powers. All gone within a matter of seconds. If anyone out there could find it or already have then that would be Hector." Annalise explained as she looked to Carlisle and could see clear worry in his eyes.

"But your blood has the immortality-" Carlisle started.

"It would be taken from my blood, I would be nothing but a mere mortal then." Annalise sighed as she thought about the horrible process that had only been written but she had never seen preformed.

"What would happen then?"

"I told Garrett to take Vivian far away, he is the best at hiding you and I both know that. If I go then she will hopefully be forgotten since Hector would have my power and be able to do whatever he wanted with it."

"You'd let him kill you, wouldn't you?"

Annalise didn't say a word but just stared at Carlisle. He seemed to get the answer and had to look away from her as he didn't know what to tell her. He knew Annalise was stubborn and whenever she set her mind to something that there was no way telling her not to do it.

"I guess I just came to thank you for all you have done for me and since I am being honest." Annalise started then closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "I like you very much Carlisle and I don't know what I would have done without you, truly."

Annalise walked over to Carlisle and exactly when he didn't expect it she leaned in and kissed him. This was the only answer she could really give him, to let him feel her emotions through her kiss. When she did die and she knew deep down that it would happen eventually that she wanted him to remember her for the strong woman she was who wouldn't give in no matter what. Pulling away Annalise didn't give him time to reply as she turned and left Carlisle's den, no doubt leaving him not full of emotions and feelings as well.

Annalise really had no idea where to find Garrett but she followed her senses, leading her outside to the stage. Apparently he hadn't move from there since she killed Kate. Not something that would be hard for a vampire after all they didn't need much to keep them going now. Sighing again Annalise walked up to the stage.

"What do you want?" Garrett questioned right as Annalise came to the stage. "Come to gloat and say I told you so?"

Annalise closed her eyes and shook her head. Granted she could very well have done that but she had more important matters to talk about right now and Garrett was going to listen to her weather he wanted to or not.

"No, Garrett Hector will return for me soon. If I don't go with him he will kill me and I need to know you will protect our daughter." Annalise said leaning against the stage.

"With all you power you expect me to believe that he will kill you? Is it possible for immortals to be drunk because if so I would say your wasted." Garrett said not even looking her way.

"Garrett I am being very serious here, there is a way he can defeat me and I think he was just biding his time. Now he won't have anyone to stop him, he will try to kill Violet and then come after me. I won't allow any of the Cullen clan to fight for me anymore. Not even you though something tells me that wouldn't happen anyway." Annalise huffed.

"I would fight for you and you know it, as for Vivian of course I would protect her and hide her just like you ask me to." Garrett sighed as he looked to Annalise. "Fool, I think that is a good term for me. Here you have been standing before me and beside me though horrible times but the minute you are taken from me I am put under some spell to make me love another. Sounds like a weird movie."

"Well I just wanted to be sure Garrett, you've strayed away more then once. How do I know you wouldn't do it again?" Annalise said as she turned and walked back in the house.

Garrett cursed himself as he kicked the stage making it fall to pieces before him. He truly did feel like a fool. Letting Annalise go in the beginning was a big mistake then he had to go and screw up even more by fake falling for another while Annalise and his own daughter rested inside some creepy crypt. What gave him the right to even think Annalise or Vivian would even want him in their lives anymore?
