Carlisle couldn't believe they had been betrayed by someone that his family thought they were close to. Looking to Annalise he nodded letting her know she could release her hold on Kate. Reluctantly she did and Kate used her powers to make the three vampires holding her down go flying backwards as she tried to grab Annalise. As she barely touched Annalise's skin a cold sharp sensation went through her back leg. Turning around she saw the little brat Vivian had her hand on her leg and was breaking her powers even inside her body!

"You little brat! I should have had your father kill you!" Kate said as she turned to try and push Vivian off of her only to have Annalise pull her hair and throw her backwards into the staircase.

Annalise looked at Kate and stood her ground letting the vampire know she had no problem killing her especially for trying to hurt her daughter.  Violet watched her granddaughter as she feared the vampire wouldn't be too smart and actually try and attack Annalise. Thinking back though if Annalise saved Kate she could also use her as an example of what she could do to other vampires.

"Annalise, trap her and then when the time comes use her as an example." Violet called out to her graddaughter.

"Trap her?" Carlisle asked confused as to how Annalise would be able to do that.

"Yes, trap her in her own mind that way she would be in a coma like state until Annalise was ready to kill her, for good." Violet answered as Vivian ran to her side. "Unless you have a better idea on how to treat a traitor?"

Truth was Carlisle didn't and though he didn't completely agree with what Violet said he knew that right now it was really their only option. Annalise walked up to Kate and held eye contact and only second later did Kate and Annalise's body fall to the ground. Vivian ran from her grandmother and went to her mother's side. Taking Annalise's hand Vivian called out for her mother as Violet went to them.

"She's just sleeping love, trust me she just used too much energy." Violet comforted Vivian as Jasper, Edward and Emmet slowly walked forward. "When she wakes up though Garrett better run for the hills and pray she can't catch him."

Alice walked over to Annalise and put her hands over Annalise's forehead trying to read what she could but for some reason she couldn't see anything from Annalise at all. It was as if she were dead. Looking up Alice saw Violet smiling at her and wondered why.

"Her training is complete, no one will be able to read her thoughts, not even see into her future. I had to finish her training quickly that's why she will need a bit of rest. The red outfit she wears was her mother's were are the guardians of our kind, we are to keep order among the immortals but after Annalise's father went crazy he went around killing as many of us as he could find. That's why after Annalise gave birth to the twins we took them into hiding. There were five of us then, now Annalise and I are the only two left." Violet spoke softly as she moved the hair from her granddaughter's face to the side of her head.

"Harold and Hector are on the same team, Annalise told me that but do they really have anything more powerful then you two?" Carlisle asked.

"The woman Hector keeps by his side, she was able to give Kate some kind of spell that made Garrett think she and him were mates but it wasn't real. If she's able to do something like that who knows what else she can do." Edward stated as Bella sat down beside Annalise.

"She's an old witch kept alive by Hector's own blood, after he found out her use he made sure to always have her around. No matter how many times I've tried to kill her it's his blood that keeps her alive and young." Violet said with a sigh.

Immortal's blood could keep others alive? How was that possible? Carlisle checked Annalise's neck to make sure her heart beat was still well which lucky it was before her picked Annalise up and walked her upstairs to a bedroom so she could rest more comfortably. The others stayed downstairs and discussed what Edward had seen in Kate's mind.

"So in other words she used us, she didn't come to help our daughter she just came to find out when Annalise and Vivian would wake up." Bella said as she paced the room.

"Yes, now that we know though why do we want to keep her around?" Emmet asked as they all looked to Violet.

"She will have to make an example of Kate, believe me it won't be a pretty one either. It will show what will happen if any vampires dare betray her ever again so gather up all the vampires you know, the quicker this is done the better off everyone will be." Violet said standing up at the same time Garrett woke up.

He searched the room with his eyes for Kate or Annalise and was very angry and confused to find neither one of them in the room. Edward shook his head as Garrett quickly ran through the house to find Annalise asleep in a bed with Carlisle seated beside her. Bella had already taken Kate's body to the basement so that no one needed to be bothered with Kate's presence.

"What happened?" Garrett asked as he walked up to Carlisle.

"She used too much power, according to Violet she just finished training and now she will have to make an example of Kate soon." Carlisle said with a sigh not looking away from Annalise.

"What are you talking about make an example of Kate?" Garrett said with a growl.

"She'll have to kill her, at least according to Violet she will. Garrett yo can ask Edward yourself but Kate tricked you and used you just to get to Annalise and Vivian, she was never your true mate." Carlisle said and he felt a breeze as he looked behind him and saw that Garrett had left. "Though I highly doubt Annalise is your true mate either."
