Something was coming, Carlisle could feel it as he stood on his back porch looking into the forest. Annalise  had left over three weeks ago to get an update from her grandmother. Vivian begged to stay behind and be with Garrett though Annalise was very much against the idea Carlisle swore to take care of her. Not wanting to deal with Garrett, Annalise disappeared the next day and no one had heard a word from her since well except Vivian. Apparently her and Annalise had a special connection. After all they were mother and daughter.

"You sense something too?" Jasper asked as he walked up to Carlisle's side.

"It's been growing for the last three days, I'm not sure who or what it is, or even if they are after us." Carlisle said crossing his arms.

"You mean they may have sensed Vivian? If they did would you keep your word to Annalise? Fight them and hide Vivian?" Jasper questioned with a concerned look on his face.

Nodding Carlisle knew that the others might not agree with him but he was one that kept his word no matter what. Annalise and her new hybrid vampire friend were getting along very well which was more then he could say for Vivian and Kate. The two spited one another and many times had Vivian told Carlisle that she didn't trust Kate at all. Closing his eyes he tried to see if there was anyone close to his home. What he didn't expect was to see so many people coming his way. Quickly opening his eyes Carlisle looked to Jasper who could tell exactly what was about to happen.

"I'll have Garrett hide Vivian." Jasper said as he took off into the house.

"What's going on" Edward asked as he walked out.

"They're here and something tells me they will have no problem killing us to get to Vivian." Carlisle said trying to keep his head and remain calm.

"Take off their heads then, that's the only way to kill them remember." Alice said walking up.

"Would it be that easy? After all some immortals are thousands of years old Alice." Edward reminded her.

Kate came out with Rosalie and Emmet beside her with a sour look on her face. She wasn't too happy to find out that when Garrett was mortal he fathered a child, let alone a child with an immortal. Now she had to play second best whenever Vivian was around and she was beginning to grow tired of it.

"So now we have to protect the brat? Why not just let them have her, after ten minutes they'll give her back." Kate said with a chuckle.

"Says the evil step mother." Bella commented as she walked up to the group.

"You don't know the situation, so back out of it newbie." Kate scoffed.

"She knows everything, including the powers that both Vivian and Annalise have that could kill you in a split second, so be careful what you say." Edward said with anger in his voice.

Rolling her eyes Kate looked back to the forest and could see people slowly making their way out of the tree line. If this was all the immortals could muster for an army she thought it would be easy to take them down.

"Don't forget, you bite one of them, you die." Bella said raising her eye brow and Kate almost daring her to do it.

"All legends, no truth to it." Kate laughed.

The others looked out to the forest and watched as they immortals grew closer and closer. Garrett was the last to join them since he had just finished hiding Vivian with Jacob who was kind enough at the moment to watch over her along with the rest of his crazy wolf pack.

"Anyone else able to think of any way to win if we fight them?" Emmett asked looking at the group.

"Take off all the heads you can." Alice replied with a shrug.

The immortals seemed to take up the entire treeline and in all his years Carlisle had not feared much but now knowing some of the immortals that stood before him had been alive longer then he could even think made him wonder what they would be able to do to him as his family.

Finally they were within hearing range, one vampire stepped forward wearing dark jeans and a dark brown jacket that was unzipped showing he was not wearing a shirt either. One his left was a woman who looked like she came from a gypsy camp for she barely wore anything at all.

"We know what you are and we are willing to let yo live if you just hand over the girl, this has nothing to do with you." the man said stepping up and looking Carlisle right in the eyes.

"It has something to do with us when that child is my daughter." Garrett said as he looked down at the immortal.

The immoral looked up at Garrett for a few moments then started to laugh at him right in his face. The Cullen's looked confused as they wondered what the immortal could possibly think was so funny. Still it took him a few minute to regain himself.

"Garrett, I should have guessed. What Annalise saw in a poor schmuck like you I have no idea and I pity the girl for sharing the same blood that once ran through your body, doesn't surprise me to see you join the blood suckers though, after all you were the one who told us about Annalise's brothers affair with a vampire." the man said with an evil grin.

Everyone then looked to Garrett as they had heard the story of Annalise's brother and his woman. It didn't end well for the female vampire for she was burned at the stake.

"Well one less vampire and immortal to worry about." Kate spoke up.

"Last warning, give us the girl or we will kill you all." the immortal stated again.

"Go ahead and try, Hector, Annalise told me all about you and your kind. Including how to kill you." Carlisle said.

Then with a snap of her fingers the woman on the left had set a first fight into play. Immortals started running forward and attacking any vampire they could get their hands on. Vampires still being older then most people thought were able to hold their own for the most part. Hector had decided to take out his rage on Garrett though since somehow he had remembered him. Grabbing Garrett by his neck Hector slammed him into a tree repeatedly. Kate barely tried to fight as she hid in the shadows as the Cullens took on the immortals.

"You were a fool then, shall you continue the trait? Give us the girl then we will let you live happily with your vampire mate whore." Hector yelled at Garrett.

Just as Garrett was about to reply the immortals and vampire all stopped at once. Garrett and Carlisle's eyes looked around trying to find the source wondering what in the world could have stopped everyone at once. Finally able to move his head just a little Carlisle saw someone standing on a hill. Long red hair, fair skin and glowing green eyes. Beside her was another older woman who was holding her right arm on her. It was Annalise and her grandmother was lending her more power so she could control everyone.
