Annalise knew that Alice would come through for her and she finally did. The camp wasn't far, go figure and Hector had been busy trying to get his seed spread through as many immortals as possible since she was no longer around to be his vessel to carry his children in. Vivian was an insult to him but Annalise knew that she was safe.
"He hid well but when we heard what was going on with the other immortals it didn't take long for us to find the camp." Alice said as she looked to Annalise.
"What do you mean?" she questioned.
"Rumors, they say Hector is trying to impregnate any female immortal he can, he's been trying as well. We heard a few of them talking in the woods on their way back to camp." Jasper spoke up to her.
Annalise made a disgusted face and Garrett couldn't help but chuckle. Annalise rolled her eyes. She knew that she would make an appearance and then he would be in for a big surprise.
"Here's the plan." Annalise smiled as she looked at the group of vampires.
Three hours later and Garrett was watching as Annalise strode into the camp and hid in a nearby tent. Shaking his head, he knew that she was intelligent but he didn't know what Hector would do. Alice snuck around into position as did the rest of the Cullen's. Within a matter of moments, the immortals had sensed us and came out of their tents.
"Hector!" one of the female immortals called out.
Just what Annalise wanted. Hector then came out of his tent, shirtless as usual and he looked around and laughed, he thought the Cullen's were there to try and kill as many immortals as possible.
"Well you all must have a death wish. Kill them!" Hector called out.
Just as the immortals started to attack a familiar voice called out from behind Hector. Turning carefully Hector was shocked to see Annalise standing there with a bright grin on her face. The stone in her hand, lifting her hand high in the air Hector knew what she was going to do and laughed.
"You can't break it you fool!" Hector laughed.
Using her new vampire strength, Annalise hit the stone on a rock and it cracked into a million pieces. Dusting her hands off, Annalise strode right up to Hector and grabbed his face.
"You made two very big mistakes, one thinking that you owned me." Annalise laughed as she lightly pressed her lips to his neck and he forced her to look at him.
"The other?" he asked already probably knowing the answer.
"Thinking I was dead and that my true lover wouldn't find a way to bring me back, even if it took a certain change." Annalise said and then showed her fangs. "With the stone gone, so is your immortality."
The Cullen's were still busy fighting the immortals until they realized the immortals energy was disappearing as were their bodies. Then had begun to age. Without the stone none of them had their immortality. Garrett looked to Annalise and saw her baring her fang at Hector, unwilling to take the risk of him having any immortal blood left. Garrett ran at vampire speed and pushed Annalise to the ground. Pulling her lips to his, instead of her biting Hector, Garrett turned the bite into a vicious kiss. Unknown to any of them, Hector's witch had gathered the jewel shards and ran off. Hector fell to the ground and many of his now frail old bones broke.
Pain erupted from him as Annalise and Garrett broke their kiss and looked over at him. Annalise took in a deep breath and looked to Garrett, she knew why he stopped her and for once she wasn't mad at him. Instead she grabbed him and kissed him again.
"I'll be back and I will kill you." Hector swore as his body disappeared from the ground an into the air.
The Cullen's then made their way back to us. Jasper cleared his throat, a clear sign for us to stop. Garrett smiled as he stood up and helped Annalise to her feet.
"Was that the end?" Alice asked as she looked around.
"Unless they put the jewel together, even if they try that it will take a long time." Annalise grinned. "Did you see his face when he saw me? Oh, it was priceless!"
Garrett could sense the weight that was now lifted off Annalise's shoulders. He didn't know how just the stone killed the other immortals but he didn't question it. He was just happy to see her smile again.
A few days later, Annalise was standing at her grandmother's grave as well as her own. Her long red hair blowing in the wind, Garrett watched her from a distance, knowing if he blinked his eyes she might disappear. Walking up to her, Garrett took Annalise's hand in his.
"She'd be proud of you." Garrett commented as Annalise looked to him.
"Yeah, she'd be pissed at you for changing me but after she heard why I am sure she would be grateful to you. Garrett?" Annalise replied and questioned him.
"Yeah?"
"What do I do now?"
Garrett chuckled just as Vivian ran out and hugged them both. She saw the stone and was sad for a few moments and her father explained what happened and that Annalise would be like him now. The child was happy with the answer and ran off to play with Edward and Bella's daughter.
"I can think of one thing for us to do." Garrett told Annalise as he brought her to him.
"What would that be?" Annalise asked looking up to him.
"Marry me? Mate with me whatever the term is now but just stay by me until we take our last breaths on this earth? I can't bare to be tricked and parted from you again." Garrett asked as he looked down at Annalise.
"I've waited over a hundred years for that question however."
In one swift move, Annalise kicked Garrett behind one of his knees and he was now in the kneeling position.
"Do it properly or don't do it at all." Annalise chuckled.
"Good thing I asked your grandma for this then." Garrett said pulling out a red velvet box and opening it to reveal her grandmother's ring. "What do you say Annalise? Marry me and we can be the crazy vampire parents of Vivian."
Annalise laughed as she shook her head. Leaning in she kissed him right on the mouth before pulling away for just a moment.
"Yes, I will think about it."
