The crypt was the same as it had been left ten years ago. The door still tightly sealed and inside lay two immortals. Carlisle stood outside the crypt looking at the door alone. He knew once he opened the door there would be a lot to explain to the two inside. The fact that Garrett would not be there to keep his promise was not one he was looking forward to explaining. Remembering the code, Carlisle unlocked the door and it opened right before him. Walking through the hall he remembered from ten years ago he was surprised to see no evidence of bugs or anything like that had been inside the crypt.

Coming to the middle of the tomb, the main room he saw the two stone slabs and there upon them were Annalise and Vivian. Still laying in the same position they lad for all those years. Walking up to Annalise's side he looked down at her and though her looks hadn't changed her hair had become a bit longer. Placing his hand upon her cheek her could feel the warmth of her skin. At his touch he felt a slight movement from Annalise and looked to her eyes as they slowly blinked open for the first time in a decade.

"Carlisle?" AnnSalise questioned and he knew why, she was expecting Garrett to be the one here to wake her and Vivian up. "You came back for us."

Her smile still made him smile. His feelings for her were just as strong as they were back when she and Garrett were still something, something he felt now they could not be.

"Of course I did, ten years to the day." Carlisle smiled as he helped Annalise sit up.

Looking around Annalise saw that Carlisle was alone and that confused her. Still she only wanted to make sure that Vivian was alright and Carlisle could sense that. Walking over to Vivian's side Carlisle carefully touched her cheek and like her mother Vivian awoke from her long dream.

"Hi, Carlisle right?" Vivian questioned as he helped her sit up as well. "Where is my father?"

Well there was the question he didn't want to answer but he knew he had to. Slowly to make sure the girls understood everything Carlisle began to explain about Edward and Bella and their daughter and how Garrett had met his vampire mate, Kate. Annalise held the same look upon her face while Vivian looked heart broken.

"So he didn't come for us and replaced us." Vivian stated as Carlisle sighed unsure what to tell her.

"Vampires are different from immortals." Carlisle stated.

"Yeah, Immortals are more loyal." Annalise said standing on the ground and keeping her balance quite well for someone who had been asleep for such a long time.

The comment hurt Carlisle because he was loyal and if he had only told her of his feelings before Garrett came into the picture again things might have been different. Still he knew now was definitely not the time to be saying anything. Carlisle picked up Vivian though and began to walk them out of the crypt. Once outside Annalise turned and re locked the crypt. They loaded in his car and began to drive back to Carlisle's house since now Annalise had nowhere to go or no news from any other immortals. Annalise was silent and looked out the window most of the time as did Vivian as they made their way back. Carlisle felt a bit helpless by the two immortals but knew they each had the right to feel the way they felt but he felt sorry for Kate if she met Annalise anytime soon.

"Rennesme is close to the age you look like Vivian and I think she could use a friend." Carlisle said trying to cheer her up.

"Yeah, it'll be nice to play with another kid." Vivian said but didn't look away from the window.

Pulling up at his house, Carlisle parked his car and helped Vivian out though he knew she didn't need it he still wanted her to feel safe. Annalise got out of the passenger seat and walked right to Carlisle's side as they went into the house. It was the same as Annalise remembered. All nice and neat.

"We have two rooms ready for both of you and no mail for you yet Annalise but I sent word to the address on the letter and should hear something soon, I hope." Carlisle said as they walked further inside.

"Thank you Carlisle, you have done so much for us." Annalise smiled as she hugged him.

Carlisle was a bit surprised by her gesture but hugged her back. Vivian smiled as she saw another little girl who Annalise assumed to be Edward and Bella's daughter. Finally Vivian could be somewhat normal with another little girl. Edward walked in right as Annalise pulled away from Carlisle.

"Well, this isn't going to end well." Edward said with a sigh.

"What do you mean?" Carlisle asked confused.

"Kate and Garrett have come for a visit." Edward stated as he scratched the back of his head.

That name was one Annalise didn't want to hear at least for another thousand years yet her ears had already heard it against their will. Carlisle looked to Annalise who looked fine but he knew that she could easily hide her emotions but didn't know how well she would take to see ing the two in person. Without being able to ask if Annalise was ok to see them, Kate and Garrett walked in side by side even holding hands.

Annalise blinked slowly as she tried to control her emotions and powers knowing at any moment she could kill any vampire in there but she didn't want to do that. Carlisle looked at Garrett to see a shocked and almost hurt reaction on his face.

"Who is this?" Kate asked as Annalise stared Garrett down.

So many thoughts were going on in Annalise's mind, Vivian could sense it and came back to make sure her mouth was alright but then she saw her daughter and ran up to him. Garrett looked down at Vivian and picked her up with a fake smile on his face. He was happy to see his daughter but now the situation had become very complicated.

"Daddy! You forgot me and mommy!" Vivian yells at her father clearly hurt by his action.

"Vivian, things have changed since you and mommy went to sleep." Garrett said.

"Put my daughter down." Annalise said holding back the rage that was building up inside of her.
