Chrissy and I both walk inside the room and I see dad and pop both in the corner of the room and I spat "so your gonna betray rick?". I approach maggie on the desk and she says "you know he was in the wrong dolly and if I have to betray rick just to get to kill negan then so be it". I scoff and I lean on her desk so our face was inches from each other and I say "Shane the governor and the termites and dawn from Grady there's one thing that they all have in common maggie they're dead because rick put them there and your gonna turn your back on the man who's been feeding you since day one? sorry maggie but without Rick, you wouldn't have made it off the damn farm". I stand up and start to walk away and I turn to daryl and I say "your not my father anymore my dad would have rick's back no matter what but if you do anything to him father or not I got a bolt with your name on it Daryl I have spent the last six years without you I think I can survive without you".

I walk out of the room and I turn to Chrissy "you coming to Chrissy?" she glares at pop and she says "you've picked your side now we're picking ours". I grab her hand and once we made it out of the Barrington house they follow behind us and all three of them are standing on the porch and I say to tara "they're gonna try and overthrow rick it's time to pick a side". Her eyes widened in surprise and she asks "what side are you on?" I turn to Chrissy and she says "we're going to Alexandria". She turns back to maggie, paul, and daryl and she turns to me "wherever you go I go".

A smile crosses my face and she kisses me on the lips and she grabs my hand and I turn to Chrissy "meet back here in ten minutes and we are leaving". She nodded and I turn around when I hear a voice say "we can take my car" Chrissy turns around and she asks "your coming with us Jensen?". He sends her a smile and a nodd and he says "yeah laura and DJ and Alden are all down there and Dwight already left to find sherry". She turns to me and I send her a soft smile and she says "okay well pack your things this is the last time we will be here".

Once I got all my clothes packed up and when I walk out of the trailer and see Tara, Jensen, and Chrissy waiting by the charger. A smile crosses my face and I put my bag in the trunk and I stand right by my door and I cast my dad one last look and I say to him one last time "if your gonna rage a war against us let's just say it will be the last thing ya'll ever do". I send him a look which said 'you've made your bed now ye have to lie in it' I get in the backseat with tara and she wraps her arm around my shoulders. I lay my head onto her shoulder and then we approach the gate I find myself wanting to turn around she kisses me on the forehead and she says softly "don't look back dahlia".

Once we made it to Alexandria and we get out of our car I see carl, rick,michonne and laura, and DJ and everyone here approaching us even Eugene. They had gotten the walls back up at Alexandria and started rebuilding the houses. I send everyone a smile and I walk over to rick and he smiles at me and I hug his neck he wraps his arms around me and I break away "you got room for four more people?". He chuckles and nodded at me and I turn to tara "why don't you go pick a house for us?".

She smiles at me and kisses me on the lips and I turn to rick again "can we talk?". He nodded at me and he says "come on let's take a walk" he turns to michonne and he says "I'll be right back babe". She smiles at him and we start to walk as I look at everything here and couldn't help but smile knowing that rick is rebuilding everything. I take a deep breath and he says "what's on your mind dahlia? I can tell something is bothering you".

I smile at him and I say "you can read me like a book officer friendly". He chuckles and he tosses his arm over my shoulder and he says "that's a flashback". I giggle and shake my head and I say when we come to a stop "Maggie, Jesus and Daryl are planning to overthrow you". He sighs and looks down at his boot covered feet and he says "yeah I know I had a feeling but that still doesn't answer why your down here? are you here to warn me?".

I shake my head at him and I say "no I'm here to stay daryl picked his side and now I picked mine I wanted to be so angry that day when you didn't kill negan but carl made me realize that there's gotta be something after we're alive like you said who knows maybe negan can become as asset to us one day and giving him death is the easy way out he needs to be alive and think about what he's done that's what he deserves and now that I think of it Glenn wouldn't want us to kill him either". He sends me a smile and he chuckles and he turns to look around and we see everyone building up houses and he says "your thinking ahead that's good". Michonne helping when she could and Judith running around and Jensen and Chrissy talking and tara and he says "our house has already been built and the house right next to it you and tara are welcome to use it and to share with Chrissy and that guy?".

I smile at them and I say "oh that's Jensen Dwight's older brother". He nodded at me and he says "before we go back over there thank you for telling me dahlia it showed great courage to do that to turn your back on your dad". He tosses his arm over my shoulder again and I say "I didn't do it for you rick". He chuckles and he kisses my forehead and I find myself smiling as my eyes fell onto tara and he asks "well then who did you do it for?".

"Don't worry about it you don't know her".

After we ate dinner with everyone which included laura and some of the saviors as we eat by the firepit tara sits beside me and wraps her arm around me. She grabs my spoon and tries the tomato soup that I had made and she says "that's really good". She kisses me on the lips and I shake my head I see Chrissy and Jensen talking and getting comfortable with each other. I find myself smiling and after dinner, I lay my head onto her shoulder and she whispers "sleepy?".

I nodd against her shoulder once we got through eating her and I went back to our house and straight to our room. I get undressed and into my pajamas which was one of tara's shirts and my shorts when I see when I walk out of the bathroom she is sitting on the bed waiting for me. I send her a smile and walk over to her and once we get into bed I cuddle into tara's side and she wraps her arms around me. Then I realized this is where I am meant to be right here with her at this very moment.

*Six Years Later*

I groan and open my eyes and come face to face with the love of my life 'Tara' still asleep beside me her arms still wrapped around me. I find myself smiling and I raise up and I grab one of tara's shirts and a pair of underwear. I cover her up with the sheet and go to the bathroom and I brush my teeth and I start brushing the rat's nest I call hair. I run the brush through the knots and it had grown out again and I need a haircut and tara walks in and wraps her arms around me from behind.

I look behind me and she kisses me on the lips and I say "morning my love". She giggles and looks at me through the mirror and she says "morning beautiful". I bite my lower lip and I say "it's getting longer I think I need a haircut". She pouts and she loves my long hair and she whines "no please I love your long hair what will I have to pull on or hold onto".

I giggle and bury my face into my hand and my cheeks start to heat up and I exclaim "tara chambler I swear sometimes you don't have a filter". She giggles and winks at me and says "are you just now figuring that out?". I snicker and shake my head and she says "our anniversary is coming up soon the day after tomorrow will we be together for six years". I sigh and lean against her as her arms tighten around my waist and I say "god it doesn't feel like it's been that long ago I can't believe it's been six years where's the time gone?".

She kisses my cheek and she says "okay rick said he wanted you and I to train some of the people from the kingdom and the hilltop how to use bow and arrows today". I groan and start brushing the knots out again and I whine "do I have too?" she sends me a soft smile in the mirror and she says "and he also said daryl is gonna be one of the teachers along with us". I clear my throat I have tried to find some middle ground with daryl but he's so stubborn and refuses to believe that and let's just say I get my stubbornness from him. I nodd at her and turn around and I say "you think you can braid my hair in dutch braids?".

She nodded at me and she says "sure baby turn around and I'll get started". She started working on my braids and once I was done getting ready it wasn't that cold outside. I look out of the window and the sun was high in the sky and the wind was blowing some but not a lot it was still cool. I slide on my blue jeans and button them up and put on a light blue sweater over my blue tank top which went well with my jeans.

Once I walk downstairs tara was waiting at the front door and she turns around when she hears my boots across the floor "I was just about to come up and get you". Once she turns around a smile crosses her face and she wraps her arms around me and kisses me square on the lips and I wrap my arms around her neck. I break away and I ask "not that I didn't love that but what was that for?". She smiles down at me and she exclaims "you look beautiful today" I grab her hand and start to walk and I say "you get brownie points for that one".

She giggles and we shut the door and see Alexandria finally coming back to its original youth and I see carl working on one of the houses. While Judith runs and plays on the playground that Jensen, Alden, Laura, and DJ had built for the kids. Gracie runs over to me and tackles my leg and I say "ye better run I'm gonna get ye" she giggles and runs away from me. I shake my head at her blonde hair flipping in the wind and I exclaim "girl yer getting more like yer daddy every single day".

She smiles at me and I say "go play with jude and the rest of the kiddos". She runs off and I ask carl "hey grimes where's yer daddy?" he looks down from the roof of one of the houses and smiles "he's down at the gate I think some of the hilltop people are here". I turn to tara and she kisses me on the lips and she says "I'll get the targets set up". She walks away and I walk to the front of Alexandria where I see rick talking with michonne and laura walks over to me and she says "try not to fight ok?".

I send her a raised eyebrow and I cross my arms "easier said than done laura". She bumps my hip with hers and she says "I know just try to please" I nodd at her and I hug some of the hilltop people and then I hug daryl and I say "alright guys tara is setting everything so if ya'll follow me". Everyone follows behind me and Chrissy grabs my hand as we walk and she whispers "I see pop here too" I hip check her and I say "I know". We made it to where tara had everything set up and I see the targets set up and before I could say anything tara says "alright all the targets are set up now this one right here?".

She points to one of the smaller targets and I see a little box in the middle of the target and she says "when you shoot at this one you need to aim at that circular ring and whoever hits the middle of the circle that's holding up the box? gets to see what's inside the little box it's something all of you will like I assure you". I send her a raised eyebrow and she smiles at me and she says "and that includes the teachers too so that means you too dahlia". I smile at her and giggle and shake my head at her and I say "you didn't tell me about this" she giggles and tammy rose starts to laugh at what I said and she says "it's called surprise honey". I roll my eyes at her and I say "okay fine I'll play" once everyone tried to hit the circular ring no one could get an arrow in the middle of that damn ring.

I hadn't gone yet I get in a couple of practice runs on another target and there were holes all throughout that target. Even dad was missing the targets and I say "daryl your the best archer I know how have you not hit it yet?". He shrugs and he says "alright smartass you try it then see if you can do it". I scoff and shake my head tammy hands me her bow and I knock an arrow into place and take a deep breath and I feel the wind start to pick up and I feel it shifting towards west.

I don't aim right at the ring and once I let the arrow fly through the air it pierces right in the middle of the ring and Tara says "I knew you would be able to do it". I giggle and I say "I still got it," Chrissy giggles and tara says "you won baby go see what's in the box". I walk towards the target and I grab the tiny box attached to the ring and I open up the velvet box and come face to face with a blue diamond ring. My eyes widened when I hear rick asks "what's in the box dahlia?" I feel tara's hand place on my back I turn around and she grabs the box from my hand and gets down on one knee.

I let out a gasp she is not doing what I think she's doing is she?.
