Dahlia Salvatore, Victor of the 68th Hunger Games, is a doll on the Capitol's shelf. With porcelain skin that shattered by touch, Snow managed every aspect of her physical and emotional traits. Dahlia complied out of fear, which President Snow valued.

Snow saw Dahlia as the perfect wife for his Grandson. An easily controlled woman would make an ideal First Lady of Panem. So, he was determined to force them together, even if that meant Dahlia and Caspian's past relationships would be destroyed.

Finnick Odair and Annie Cresta were distraught by Dahlia and Casper's sudden absence. Forced to cut all ties with the forsaken fiancés, they were lost and confused by reality and delusion.

Dahlia and Caspian were friends; they never wanted to be lovers. So, when Snow announces the Quarter Quell to target the Girl on Fire, Dahlia decides there's only one way to escape the marriage: to volunteer for the 75th Annual Hunger Games.

With his wife rebelling against his grandfather, Caspian found his own revolution. When Plutarch proposes an offer he can't refuse, he joins the cause of the Mockingjay, determined to end his grandfather's reign of terror.

Now, fire is catching, and soon Snow's inevitable death wouldn't be soft but harsh at the hands of Katniss Everdeen.

Dahlia and Casper are the two main characters in this fiction. I'll do my best to explain both of their stories, but they are heavily intertwined.

This fic will start pre-Hunger Games, so Act One is centered around the 68th to the 74th Games. There will be several time skips, and I hope I'm able to explain everything well. There's a lot of lore behind Dahlia and Casper and who they were involved with before the Quarter Quell.
