Oblivious dorks.

Kate was lying down on his stomach, typing away as minutes ticked by. Brandon was on a business trip in Fiji as he was part of the editorial team.

It would be a lie to say that Kate didn't miss Brandon but there was no way in hell Kate would admit that.

Sober atleast.

The house was eerily silent and it did not help improve his mood. Something that had been becoming worse as the days went by where Brandon was still not in the country.

Currently he was editing his latest blog.

Yes. He took up blogging since he had a knack for being a picky asshole he might as well use it productively.

"I honestly don't see why the place is popular. The only thing that is good there is the well put together interior. The food is mediocre and not upto what they said it would be."

He continues to keep editing until he couldn't find anymore flaws in his blog before he goes onto adding the pictures and hash tags.

With the blog for this month done and ready, he goes onto scavenge for the next victi- the next place he was going to visit.

A lot of people had asked him if he could check out the recently opened café just a few blocks from here. He saw it once on his way back from grocery shopping and the outside appearance quite phenomenal.

"I guess I could check it out but I was really hoping to get a reply for the reservation in that seven star restaurant though."

At this Kate pouts, a little upset that his plans have been thwarted and will be postponed once again. He gets up and moves out of their bedroom to the kitchen where he decides to get started on dinner.

"Now that I think about it, the ass never told me when he was coming back. I would call him but I don't want to be a bother. He did say that this was really important."

Kate picks out the ingredients to make stir fried noodles and moves onto preparing the raw noodles. Once that is done he starts on the vegetables and the seasoning of the meat.

What he didn't notice was that the man he was talking about was actually asleep on the couch situated in the living room.

As Kate continues to hustle inside the kitchen, Brandon finally wakes up and gets up groggy and still half asleep.

In that state was how Brandon disappeared into their room to take a shower.

Kate, however, was still oblivious to the fact that Brandon was actually back home. Yet, his instincts told him that he would be back today so he makes enough food for the both of them.

Kate moves to pack away the food he left aside for Brandon before picking up his plate and sitting on the couch Brandon had just been sleeping on.

"That's wierd. The couch is warm."

Kate ponders on it a little while, trying to figure out why it might be warm before dropping it cause he was getting a headache.

Plus, if he is to get kidnapped, it would mean a few more days of peace and quiet. Not to mention the hot breaking news that would help boost his blog's fame.

With that thought, Kate continues to dig in to his meal while watching something on TV. Still oblivious to the fact that Brandon is home and is currently taking a shower.

After he finishes his food, Kate goes and put his plate into the sink. He decided against doing dishes cause he was too lazy at the moment and went onto the balcony to get some fresh air.

The moment Kate steps out, Brandon finally reveals himself and makes his way to the kitchen. Following his nose, he takes the packed away food that was left on the counter forgotten by Kate and disappears into their shared office.

Kate comes back in a few minutes later only to raise an eyebrow at the increased amount of dirty dishes. The familiar blue lid of the container which he had packed away Brandon's share of food making itself quite known as well.

"Am I really getting kidnapped for my food?"

Kate mumbles before he starts doing the dishes. He finishes them quite quickly than expected as he was well-versed in the chore. Mainly cause Brandon was the one who cooked most of the time while he did the dishes.

He makes his way back to their bedroom only to find that his laptop and work tools are put away for him.

"For a kidnapper, he is quite generous. I mean who cleans up after their victim?"

Kate exclaims but does not complain much about it. All the while Brandon is in their shared workspace, doing the last bit of formalities.

Kate enters the bathroom and instantly recognizes the steam that is usually apparent after Brandon takes a shower.

"Don't tell me my kidnapper is a Brandon copycat!? Or what if it is Brandon's soul or something!?"

He questions himself as he notices that Brandon's shampoo has been used. It was something even he didn't touch unless he was asking to not walk the next day.

Brandon although quite protective of Kate is more protective of his shampoo. Something about wanting to keep his hair soft for his Kate. Something Kate never could understand.

Kate strips out of his oil stained clothes before taking a quick shower and changing into his PJs.

A pair of sweatpants- which turns out to be Brandon's- and a baggy T, Kate slumps into their bed. He texts Brandon his usual snarky goodnight text that consisted of him wishing he is kidnapped in his sleep. The irony.

With that, Kate gradually falls asleep.

Brandon finally enters their bedroom, already dressed for bed. He is still drowsy from the jet lag and the warm shower he had made him even more sleepy.

He lifts up the duvet cover and slides into bed. He scootes over a little towards Kate before snuggling into him. He did not sleep well since Kate wasn't with him so most nights he just worked until he passed out from exhaustion.

Kate- as oblivious as he was since he was born- brings Brandon into his arms and cuddles him effectively, mumbling about Brandon copycats or kidnapper. Either one of the two or both, Brandon didn't know.

And like that they both slept the night away.

Always thought Kate would be the more carefree of the two so why the hell not?
