Blood - Death

It was loud, between the music and the people talking. Too loud for my liking, but I couldn't really change that. Some people were on the dance floor while most other people were talking to each other, having a good time. The decorations were cheesy, but I liked them. There were fake cobwebs with fake spiders in them, some plastic skeletons and colored lights. It reminded me of a middle school Halloween party. Except you could drink alcohol and swear.
I was alone, which was making the party relatively boring. I sighed, it was a mistake coming here, wasn't it? Mistake number one, I wore a white suit; while everyone else was wearing something more colorful, more like Halloween. And if not, they were wearing something dark. Mistake number two, I was alone. I never liked being alone, especially at a party.
My head snaps up as a I hear a whistle, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked around, trying to find a source of the surprisingly beautiful noise. My eyes finally land on a smaller man, wearing an all black suit. He had dark hair, darker than mine. I furrow my eyebrows, surely he wasn't whistling at me, was he? I look at him for a second before pointing myself, part of me wishing he came over to me but the other part of me wishing he'd just walk away. But- he didn't.
I hesitate, watching the other as I point to myself with my free hand, holding my drink close to my chest. I tense slightly and stand up a bit straighter as he walks to me. I shifted slightly and looked down at him as he stood in front of me. He was shorter, but I thought it was adorable.
"Hey, how're you?" He asked softly, causing me to slowly look him over, not being able to help it. I wasn't sure if he was just coming over to me because he was bored, or because he had an actual interest in me.
"I'm fine, what about you...?" I ask softly, my voice trailing off at the end a little. He smiled, causing me to smile just the slightest bit. His smile was absolutely gorgeous.
"Brendon, and I'm pretty good..." He replied, finally introducing himself. I looked down at my drink for a moment before lifting it up and taking a swig from it. I knew he wanted me to introduce myself, I couldn't completely wrap my head around what was happening. It wasn't like he was this big hunk of a man, although that's not the kind of guy i'm into, he looked handsome and just had this overall feeling to him.
"It's Dallon..." I reply softly, managing to stay calm. I shifted a little, looking back at my drink. I sighed softly, thinking about the man next to me. From his voice to his smile, he was incredibly handsome. I stared at the sleeves of my suit, tugging at them as they weren't very comfortable. Why did I have to wear this suit?
We started to make some small talk for a little while, talking about our hobbies and interests and just general things about him. Turns out we both loved music. We seemed to have more in common than I would have expected, but hey, I'm not complaining. At one point I did gather enough courage to mention how I thought he was cute, and I did catch him blush softly, which caused my face to heat up a little as well.
"I can go get you more to drink, I wanted to go get one for myself anyways, might as well knock out two birds with one stone, yeah?" I looked down at him to see him smiling up at me. I smiled softly and nodded, slowly handing my cup over to him.
"Alright, hurry back, okay?" I ask softly, not wanting something to happen to the smaller.
"I'll try to, Dall." He leaned up and kissed my cheek gently before turning and leaving to go get our punch. I felt my face heat up once again and I just stood there like an idiot, watching him walk away. I let out a shaky breath and shift, sticking my hands into my pockets.
I try to pass the time by picking out different people I saw and make a story for them, making up a name and a backstory, but it didn't really work. I groan and lean against the wall, oddly missing Brendon. He was a rather enjoyable person, although I haven't known him for more then an hour. I wouldn't mind going out with him for a drink, or even for lunch or a dinner... Or maybe we could go for a cute movie date? But one of those outdoor movies, the kind where you sit in the trunk of your car or truck. No... I'm getting ahead of myself.
When I saw him again, he looked scared. I tensed up and pushed myself off of the wall, walking to him quickly.
"I'm sorry I took so long... This guy, he just... He tried to touch me... I mean he was drunk, but still-" I listened to brendon carefully, feeling worried yet angry. Part of me wanted to make sure he was okay, but another part of me wanted to kick that jerks ass.
"He tried to touch you? What the fuck?" I look him up and down, trying to make sure he was okay without physically touching him, or without doing anything without weirding him out in any way.
"I'm sorry about the drinks, I tried to get away from him and get them, but he grabbed my arm... I eventually was able to get away from him though, and I just immediately came back to you," he explained quickly. I sighed softly and gently stepped closer, moving my hands down to his hips gently. I looked down at him, my eyes scanning his face.
"C'mon, Bren, let's step out, okay? We can go take a breather..." I say softly, just hoping he was alright. To my relief he nodded and I let out a small sigh.
"I know where we can go, c'mon..." I let out a small squeak, the other quickly dragging me out of the party. I held onto his hand tightly and managed to follow him. I sigh softly and watch him, easily following after him. I look up for a moment and tense, looking around the party. Where did everyone go..? Almost half the people were missing...
He dragged me passed a shut room, straight to one that looked pretty identical to it. He dragged me inside and I stumbled forward slightly, not expecting to be let go as soon as I was. Something started to feel off, I started to feel anxious and worried. I didn't know what his intentions were, maybe this was a bad idea...
"Brendon, are you okay..?" I look down at him, worry lacing my voice. He stepped forward so we were just about as close as we were before, when my hands were on his waist. I quickly but gently wrap my arms around him, pulling him into a gentle hug. I rest my chin on his shoulder and gently start to rub his back, letting out a small sigh. After a minute I smile and slowly pull away.
"We've only known each other for a few hours and it's already felt like forever.." I laugh softly, looking down at him happily. I hesitate, but let my hands linger on his waist for a moment before letting them fall down to my sides again.
"Yeah, I guess we just happened to click.. which I'm not complaining about, I really like you, Dallon." He nodded a little, which made me nod in return and smile softly.
He started to look around the room, and I did the same. It looked kind of like a lounge room, with chairs and everything. I followed him as he walked over and sat in a chair. I sort of just stood there, not exactly sure what I was supposed to do. When he looked up and noticed me standing in front of him, he gasped softly, which made me tense and look at him.
I let out a shaky breath, debating on what I wanted to do next. Although I was looking at him, I wasn't really paying attention to what he was doing or saying, just paying attention to my thoughts and what I thought I should do. I slowly brought my hands up and cupped his face, feeling my cheeks heat up.
"Dallon..." He murmured, looking me right in my eyes, causing me to do the same. Oh, his eyes... They were absolutely gorgeous. A beautiful chocolate brown color, eyes that I could stare into and drown in.
"Brendon, please don't hate me for this..." I whispered softly, hesitating before I quickly but gently leaned in, kissing him on the lips. I let my eyes fall shut and bring his face just a smudge closer, scared to kiss him any harder as though he'd just shatter in my hands.
It took him a second, but he soon kissed back, thankfully. I continued to keep my hands on his face, him wrapping one of his arms around my neck. I had to lean down as he was sitting down and I was standing up, although I think I'd have to lean down even if we were both standing up. We continued to kiss each other, our movements becoming more passionate as we went along.
I smiled slightly into the kiss, happy this was going so well. I hummed slightly as we kissed, gently rubbing one of my thumbs over his cheeks. However I suddenly felt a sharp, excruciating pain course through my chest. I gasped and instantly let go of him, breaking the kiss off and stumbling back, my eyes wide. Tears quickly filled my eyes as I fell back, my back hitting the ground roughly.
I slowly look down at my chest, searching for the source of the pain. However when I looked down, I saw a knife stuck into my chest, blood slowly causing my once white suit to turn pink, and soon red, around the wound. I let out a shaky breath, my mouth hung open as I looked up at Brendon.
"B-Brendon.. Wh-why-..." I choked out, watching him crouch next to me. I sniffle softly, taking short and shallow breaths. I didn't dear move, although I so desperately wanted to get up and run away from him. He cupped my face in his hands, then placed a gentle kiss to my forehead, then to my lips.
"Why? Well.. I don't exactly have a purpose, just more of a goal, Dally.." I watched as he brought his hands down to the knife, my eyes widening in fear of him moving it or pulling it out. He grabbed onto the handle and I closed my eyes tightly, bracing myself for whatever he was going to do. He pulled the knife out of my chest at an agonizingly slow pace, making me gasp and cry out in pain. What did I do to deserve this?
"Thank you for being so sweet though, you really made this worthwhile.." He added softly, slowly moving his hands to my chest. I watched him, noticing how much I was bleeding. I felt tears streaming down my face, but didn't have the urge to cry out. More areas of the suit were still turning pink then red, the area of the wound pretty obvious as it was the darkest shade of red.
Brendon moved his hands right over the stab wound and pressed down, making me whimper in pain. He leaned down and kissed me softly. Why did he have to choose me?
I watched as he stood up and walked towards the door, already feeling too weak to really move my head or any part of my body for that matter. I was in so much pain, at this point I just hoped he'd kill me. He shut the lights off, making me close my eyes for a second.
"Lights out, baby..." he murmured, fully closing the door and walking away, leaving me there. I let out a small sob, closing my eyes tightly, giving in.
"Why..?"
