"Dad, wake up! Wake up wake up wake up wake up wake up!"

"'M tryin' to sleep." Nico rolled over and pulled the covers over his head. "Go bug your father."

"But it's Sunday! I wanna go see Stacey!" The seven-year-old tugged at the blankets, crawling all over her now awake dad. "You promised."

Nico looked out from under the covers at his daughter, who was sitting on his stomach, pouting. "All right, I'm up. Tell Will I'll be down in a minute. Now shoo!"

Livvy cheered and ran downstairs. There was a surprised shout and a thump. Nico chucked to himself and walked down the stairs, pulling a shirt over his head.

The smell of pancakes wafted down the hall, but someone was blocking the doorway to the kitchen. Nico smiled and kissed his fiancee. "Good morning."

"Mornin'," Will drawled. "Now, would you please explain to me why this little demon-" he held up a squealing Livvy by her feet "-came hurtling down the stairs at me?"

"I told her to bug you instead of me. Now move. I smell food."

"No, first you get this child dressed. It's Sunday, remember?"

"Yeah, I remember. Today's the day we find out if it's a boy or a girl."

"Yep." Will dumped Livvy into Nico's arms, where she giggled up at him. "And brush your teeth while you're at it. Your breath smells."

Nico rolled his eyes. "I love you, too." He carried Livvy up the stairs and set her down in front of her dresser. "What are you wearing today?"

"I wanna wear my pjs."

"Not happening, Livvy."

"But they're warm!"

"I know exactly how you feel, but you still have to get dressed."

Livvy scowled, and Nico prepared himself from a tantrum.

Will stuck his head in the room. "Hey, don't you have a new tie-dye shirt?"

"Yeah!" Livvy shot up and ran for the laundry room. She came back holing a damp lump of rainbow-colored cloth, looking forlorn. "It's still wet..."

Will scooped her up. "Nah, it's okay. We'll put t in the dryer, and it'll be done by the time breakfast is over."

"Does that mean I can eat breakfast in my pjs?"

"This time, yes."

"Yay!" Livvy jumped out of Will's arms anf ran to start the dryer.

"Thank you so much," Nico murmured, kissing Will. 

"You totally owe me one."

"I know."
