i dropped the last bit
of my cherry popsicle
onto the collar of my shirt.
now i smell sweet
and i really want a shower.

i don't quite feel as though
that was an important tidbit
of my life
that you needed to know
right this second,
but now you do know,
so maybe you'll find some sort of
"deep metaphor"
within it.
