I shouldn't feel this feeling
of fearing failing
as I'm scratching and scribbling
wonders on watercolor paper
that perhaps this painting
is undoubtedly better left unfinished
in the event that everything be erased
by a single uncalculated stroke
that cancels out the current integrity
of the piece in its entirety.
