| Pouring Rain | KHR |

Pouring Rain would be a Katekyo Hitman Reborn fic revolving around a male OC named Yamamoto Takahiro.

As the name suggests he is Takeshi's brother, older most probably by two to three years.

-Takahiro is a law student who goes to a university abroad, he comes back to Japan after Takeshi gets accepted to the hospital or after his suicide attempt.

-Takahiro has a major mother complex and can't help but loathe his brother for 'taking' her.

-Takahiro will either mostly be involved with the Cavallone or the CEDEF, I'm not sure yet.

-Takahiro took boxing while in Namimori before quitting to join the student body. Ryohei is acquainted with him (well or not is another story).

(-There may be a slight almost unnoticeable Touken Ranbu crossover; not too sure about this one)

(-This one is as old as THIRD.)

Unconditional love; Boundless hatred

---

Since day one, Takahiro loathed his brother with passion.

Oh, how he disliked his laugh, the way his lips would curl up into a contagious smile, spreading happiness all around.

Oh, how he resented the shine in his eyes, so similar to the light she once held, full of life and vitality.

Oh, how hated him for being him, for being hers, for taking her from him. He abhorred his every move, his every breath, his every twitch, his everything.

He wished he would die-- he dreamt he killed him.

But he couldn't, he was her flesh. Killing him was too cruel.

He loved her shadow too much.

"Listen well, Taka," she whispered as she crouched to his height, her pitch-black eyes squarely staring in his greyish ones.

'Taka' owlishly blinked, eager to hear her out and scared to miss any of her words.

She laughed, the sound of her laughter felt like bells to his ears. It was so clear, so beautiful, so magnetic. Small Taka was entranced. To him, no one was more lovely than the woman in front of him.

Her nimble fingers carelessly reached for the boy's head, she gently combed his black locks, eyes narrowed in appreciation from the silky feeling of his damp hair.

She leaned forward, her face brushed against his, the scent of shampoo invaded her nose while the boy relished in the familiar fragrance of her perfume.

"You're going to be a big brother," she whisper-shouted before leaning back to catch the look on her son's face. Seeing his confused face as he carefully repeated the unknown word, she burst out laughing.

"Aren't you happy? Excited? You'll have a new playmate to play with," she explained, noticing how quick to catch her words he was, she simpered. "He'll be with you your whole life, but you'll have to protect him well, yeah?"

Taka didn't quite understand what his mother meant. Protecting his playmate? Why? Why would he need protection? Nevertheless, he repeatedly nodded in understanding.

He really liked how her face brightened when he agreed. He especially liked how she would reach out to comb his hair for him.

"Saya, Hiro, dinner's ready!"

His mother laughed when she heard her beloved's voice. She stood up, dusting herself off before extending her hand for her son to take. "Let's go eat before Papa gets angry, okay?"

Taka gave a firm nod, a resolute look on his chubby face he practically dragged his mother downstairs to the restaurant. Today was a day off for the restaurant, they had the ground floor for themselves.

"Hurry, hurry, Mommy!" Taka cheered as he quickly made his way downstairs. From his short legs, he tripped a few times, almost rolling down the wooden stairs, but fortunately, Sayaka was there to catch him. His hand firmly encased in hers, there was no way for him to fall to his death. "If we don't hurry, Daddy will cry!"

Sayaka chuckled. "Yes, yes, let's hurry before Papa starts crying!" she chirped.
