quiet party

Parties were never something Elliot enjoyed. Not even his own birthday party was that exciting to him, in fact he didn't like all the screaming and action going on around him. To him it was hell. He was aware of what the devil would torture him with and wasn't or isn't ready for death because of that.

No, Elliot likes quiet places and books. He reads up to two books a day, the said books are up to seven hundred pages. Or more.

Him reading so much he would finish the class books and already have most of it memorized. Poor Elliot has a photographic memory. He likes it though, and uses it to his complete advantage. He would ask for the whole weeks assignments and then do it all within two days.

He is the top of his class and is being forced to sign up for tutoring. No, not for him, no, for the idiots within his and other classes. Or just kid that just aren't getting it.

His morning routine was always sleeping in. His mom goes to work later in the day and drives him to school when he actually has class. Elliot has an altered schedule to match his smarts. He only has three periods a day. The school was convenient enough to make it all mostly in the noon time range. That is hard for them to do. But they made it work for him.

Elliot has now been walking for two whole minutes making his way to the school library. Today would make it his fifth day as a tutor. The teachers are supposed to write updates for the kids he's working with and most have been good ones.

But today was going to be different. Today, Elliot was going to only tutor one kid and a new kid for him. He knew all to well who he was gonna teach but it was still new to him.

He walked into the library with just a few minutes to spear. Elliot was for sure going to read while waiting for the kid to show up. He leaned down reaching into his bag for his favorite book. His favorite book, from his favorite series. Harry Poter.

Minutes pasted. Than an hour. Elliot had decided, he had better things to do than wait for the oaf. He began to pack his things when the library door bursted open with huge males loudly laughing their way in.

For goodness sake, Elliot thought with irritation bubbling up, don't they know this is a library?

All of them found the table he was sitting at and sat down around him. Already he was pissed off. Elliot knew this was because of the guy he had to tutor today. Mostly because he was sitting directly across from him. How cliche of him.

"So, I was thinking you can tutor me at my house... aaand I'll give you a ride home after, hm?" The boy spoke with a stupid smirk plastered on his face. Elliot never did house sessions. That made things to personal, and he didn't do it unless there was money involved. Sounds selfish, yes, but the kid was poor and needed the money.

The boy awaited Elliots answer with the other mumbling stupid little words and such into his ears. One that was sure to be his closest friends said something and his dumb smirk grew wider. All the while still staring right at Elliot.

He thought some more and then opened his mouth. "I don't do house sessions, not unless you can pay me upfront. And if I am to tutor your dumb ass, then don't be late or bring your friends."

He looked dumbfounded at what Elliot had to say. Another boy decided to pipe in his own opinoin, "look here, twink, Mason doesn't need to pay for your smarts and it shouldn't matter of we'er here or not." The other added a "yeah!" And "that's right!" Every once in a while.

Elliot have them a look of confusion then irritation. He then proceeded to pull out paper work for anything about tutoring. The school made papers about it. Saying if the tutor does a session at home then the tutor will be paid. Half will go to the school and the rest to the student. He shoved the papers to Mason and started to grab his things. Than looked at them one last time, and then left.

At the end of the year the football team always throws a huge party at somebody's house. Everyone at the school is invited. Including the geeksof the school. But Elliot chose not to go. He doesn't want to deal with the stupidity of drunk high schoolers. Plus, he didn't like the smell of alcohol.

So, he was in his room ready books. Relaxed. And happy school was finally out.

Later that evening he got himself ready for bed and layed down. Just before he hit dream land he heard nocking on his window. He jumped up and reached for the only weapon he had in his room. Pepper spray. Don't ask why he has it, it's a long story for another time.

He started to slowly walk to his window and prepared himself for almost anything. At first he just thought it was a racoon, all until there was a shadow. Shaped like a... man?

Elliot opened his window to see, the superstar of the football team hanging on to the ledge without any kind of struggle. "What in the hell are you doing here, you brute!" Elliot tried the best he could at keeping his voice down and also sort of yelling at Mason. He just looked at Elliot with thanks and started to climb into his room.

"Oh, well I invited you to the school party, but everyone said you weren't gonna show. So here I am getting you to go."

"No. Now get out." Elliot spoke sternly to the football player and pointed at his window.

"Awwww, come one El." Mason whined back. The little nickname he had somehow already placed on Elliot made him blush and trip over his next words.

"Y- you... w- w- why does it m- matter so much to you?"

Mason stood for moment and thought thoroughly about the question. "Hm, good one. Well you basically refused me a couple months ago so I thought I should try again."

Elliot couldn't believe what he was hearing from the jock wandering in his room. I refused him? Does that mean he was.... oh nice going Elliot. He thought a little bit about what to do with the jock and the situation.

Mason was now looking at his art journals and Harry potter things. Fascinated with Elliots taste and hobby. He lifted his head to meet eyes with Elliot and stood. He then decided to walk even closer to him.

Elliot froze, not sure what to do or to say next. He had never been in this type of situation before and never had he thought he would be. Yet here he is. Extremely close to the schools favorite football player. "Let me guess, everything just clicked? Now you know mostly why I'm here."

"Yeah to take me to the party... I think as your date...?" Elliot was full of anxiety over Masons next words. What they were going to be. What they could be.

He started to back away as Mason was getting closer and hit a wall. His own bedroom wall. Never in his life would he had imagined this sort of thing to happen in his own room.

"Well.... that's one way to put it..." Mason was close enough to Elliot, where his breath just  graises E lliots pale neck. "You know, everyone told me that you would have never agreed to even tutor me. But that's the exact reason why I was failing my classes... Just to see... your cute face and adorable reactions."

Adorable reactions!? What the hell is he talking about!? Elliot had little, to no, knowledge about his facial expressions during a lesson. Most of the kids he's tutored have all said he has mostly been scrunched eyebrows and irritation. But maybe it was somehow different for Mason. Maybe he let his guard down without relising it. Mistake that will never happen again Elliot thought to himself.

While thinking of what Mason said, Mason pushed their lips together.

Not roughly, but just hard enough to make some point across. That point being that he wasn't going to give up on Elliot. Moments after the collision Elliot realised he hadn't been pushing him away, trying to get out of the situation. But he realised something else too. That he didn't really want to fight back.

Somehow Mason was gentle and had a kind touch.

He rapped his arms around Elliot and pulled him closer, deapening the kiss. When they broke apart to breath Elliot took the moment to talk. "I don't like parties at all-"

"But I-"

"Ah, not a word! Listen. I don't like the people or the loud noises. That's why I don't go."

"Okay. Understandable. Then can I still stay?"

"Uugh... I guess."

Mason jumped onto Elliots bed with excitment and a huge grin on his face. This notified Elliot that he was probably going to have to stay awake for this dork. So he decided to start pulling some books out. He pulled out some movies, some he knew would be forced upon Mason eventually. He just thought to make it happen sooner than later.

During the first Mummy movie Mason took the moment to talk. "So horror, huh?"

"Uh, yeah, you can blame my dad for that."

"You know... we are kinda having our own party if you think about it."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah! A Quiet Party!!" He whisper yelled grinning at him like a kid with a new toy. Elliot have him a small smile and returned with, "Yeah, I guess you could call it that..."

"It's a party I would love to come to again... or you know plan..." Mason leaned over to kiss Elliots head while speaking. "If you think you can." He lifted his head and kissed Masons chin them snuggled back into his chest.

Huh. A quiet party? That doesn't sound to bad. I guess that's a party I could go to a lot more of those... especially if Mason is the planer. Was the last thought Elliot had before he fell asleep on Masons chest.
