Lunch rolled around, and the four of us sat outside at our usual table. I hungrily began to eat my lunch.

                “I’m going to go get ice cream,” Skylar said, getting up.

                I grabbed his arm and slapped $2 in his hand, winking at him. Seth got up and followed Skylar inside. I gulped, suddenly wishing I had gone with them. Now I was alone with Cameron. Awkward…

                “Uh…thanks again for standing up for us today,” I said, just to break the awkward silence that had fallen between us.

                “Don’t mention it,” Cameron said, giving me a flirtatious grin. “You’re worth it.”

                “So, ah, are you…” How was I supposed to ask him if he was bisexual or gay? Did I just come out and say it or…?

                “Bisexual,” Cameron confirmed, his grin getting wider.

                “Ah…well…this pizza is delicious!” I cried happily, trying to change the subject.

                “You look delicious.”

                Oh god why. Why did you have to say that Cameron? I understand I’m sexy, but you just made things so awkward.

                “Uh…thanks. But I’m not edible. Well, I am. But you’re not a cannibal. I hope. Oh hey look! My boyfriend is coming back!” I said, watching as the doors opened and Seth and Skylar appeared.

                Skylar sat next to me and handed me an ice cream. I took the wrapper off and began to lick it, ignoring the fact that Cameron was now watching me. Oh Cameron. Sexy Cameron. Control your dirty thoughts about sexy Jakey and the things he does with his tongue!

                “Yea Jakey. Just keep licking that ice cream slowly and pretend like it isn’t turning me on,” Seth said sarcastically.

                I waggled my eyebrows at him. “Meet me in the backroom tonight you sexy piece of man,” I said with a wink.

                “You can lick my sexy piece of man,” he said with a wink.

                “What time do you guys have work? Are you hanging out with us afterschool?” Cameron asked curiously.

                “We have work at five, so we can hang out for a little,” Seth said, biting into his ice cream and wincing at how cold it was. Psh. Idiot.

                Cameron smirked. “Good. I can’t wait. It’ll be fun,” he said, his eyes flashing to my face.

                I nervously lowered my ice cream, suddenly reluctant to lick it again. Oh yea. It’ll definitely be fun, not to mention interesting…
