Mother's Day- Evan and Sebastian

“Rory, this is going to end horribly! They’re so embarrassing!”

“Evan, your parents are not more embarrassing than you. No one could ever be more embarrassing than you.”

                “Hush Rory!”

“Evan, I’m just saying that your parents aren’t that ba-”

“Rory? Is that Evan you’re on the phone with? Hi Evan!”

I smirked as Rory grumbled out something at his mom, trying to get her away from the phone. Oh Rory.

“Hi Evan!” his mom’s cheerful voice called again.

“Hi Mrs. Kelly,” I said, checking the time.

“Mom, get away! Evan has to go soon anyways!” Rory said, and I could hear him struggling to get the phone back.

“Rory, be nice to me. It’s mother’s day,” Mrs. Kelly said sternly.

“Yea, yea, yea,” Rory grumbled and I heard the sound of a door shutting. “Anyways Ev, you’ll be fine. Sebastian’s parents have already met your dad anyways.”

“This is going to be a nightmare,” I groaned, shutting my eyes and slinging my arm over them.

“Quit being dramatic. But, hey, I’ve got to go. We’re going out to brunch for my mom in a few minutes. Good luck with this whole joint mother’s day thing,” he said and hung up before I got the chance to reply.

I pulled my arm away from my eyes and glared at my phone. “I hope you choke on a potato you stupid Irish bastard,” I grumbled, shoving my phone in my pocket.

“Evan, are you ready to go?” my dad asked, opening my door and glancing at me.

“I can’t. I have horrible, uh, mouth herpes. I don’t want Sebastian’s parents to get it too,” I said, using my smooth lying skills.

“Well, unless you plan to be kissing Mr. and Mrs. Amsel, I think everything will be okay,” dad said with a shrug.

“OH GOD WHY WOULD I KISS MY BOYFRIEND’S PARENTS?!” I cried, staring at my dad in horror. “You sick, perverted man! Dad, this is what the internet is for! Quit using me to fulfill your weird fantasies!”

“Evan, get in the car before I really start to regret not wearing a condom that night,” dad said and shut my door.

“Oh god old people sex,” I groaned as I got out of bed.

I checked my sexy appearance in the mirror one last time before heading out to the car. I got in and I swear the funeral march started to play as my dad pulled out of the driveway and started towards Sebastian’s house.

After a few minutes of driving, he pulled into Sebastian’s driveway. I got out of the car with my parents and we rang the doorbell.

You see, for mother’s day, Mrs. Amsel had suggested having my family over for dinner so that she and her husband could get to know them better. They had met my dad at the school’s open house since Sebastian was one of his students, but they hadn’t met my mom yet.

Mrs. Amsel opened the door and offered my parents a smile. “Hello Mr. Sudlow. Hello Mrs. Sudlow,” she greeted.

“Hello Mrs. Amsel. And please, call me Jared. This isn’t an open house,” dad said, shaking her hand and leading us into the house.

We went upstairs and I brightened at the sight of Sebastian. He was lying on the couch, a book in one hand, absorbed in whatever it was that he was reading. His other hand was occupied with his hair, twirling it around his finger.

“Sebastian! Quit reading and come here!” I demanded.

He looked up, seeming surprised. He placed a bookmark in his book and stood up, coming over to me and pulling me into his arms.

“Hi Evan. I’m sorry. I didn’t realize you were here,” he said apologetically, leaning down and kissing me.

I eyed his book suspiciously. “Reading naughty stories because I’m not good enough?”

“I mean, if you think the occasional sex reference in a Stephen King book counts as that, then yes, I’m reading naughty stories,” he said with a shrug. He kissed my cheek, bringing his lips close to my ear. “But trust me when I say that you’re good enough.” His whisper made me shiver.

“Come and sit,” Mrs. Amsel said, motioning at the kitchen.

I followed my parents out there and sat next to Sebastian. Sebastian took my hand in his under the table, shooting me a small smile.

“Sorry my mom suggested this. You look uncomfortable,” he said, speaking low so that only I could hear him.

“My parents are embarrassing,” I said miserably.

“Because you’ve never done a single embarrassing thing in your life,” he said, rolling his eyes.

“Thank you! Finally, someone who understands!” I said, kissing his cheek.

“Oh Evan,” Sebastian said with a sigh.

“Sebastian, I hope Evan isn’t being an idiot,” my dad said, watching us.

“No, sir. He’s just being…Well, he’s just being Evan,” he said, laughing a little.

I found myself zoning out as the adults started introducing themselves. I stared at Sebastian, admiring how good looking he was. Almost as attractive as me.

“Sebastian, why don’t you have a cool name like your dad?” I asked curiously. His dad’s name was Ignatius Amsel.

“Sorry my name disappoints you,” he said, releasing my hand and putting his arm around my waist.

“Well, it’s just that everyone named Sebastian is always evil. Sebastian from Black Butler, Sebastian from The Mortal Instruments…”

“You actually read those books? Oh Evan. You really are gay. And Sebastian from The Little Mermaid wasn’t evil,” he pointed out.

“Oh goody. My boyfriend shares a name with a crab in a children’s movie,” I grumbled, rolling my eyes at his stupidity. “Whatever. I think Sebby sounds cooler. I’ll start calling you that.”

                “Sure Evander,” he said, smirking.

“STOP IT!” I whined, slapping my hands over my ears. “You jerk!”

“Sebastian, are you being rude?” his dad asked, giving him a stern look.

“No. Evan doesn’t like his actual name,” Sebastian said calmly. “So whenever he calls me by a nickname, I call him by his real name.”

“Oh, I remember when he hated to be called anything other than Evander. But then some bullies beat him up and told him his name sounded like a lizard. He came home balling his eyes out and telling us to never call him Evander again,” my mom said thoughtfully.

“Mom! I told you not to ever tell anyone that story!” I cried, my eyes going wide in shock. “YOU TRAITOR! I BET YOU WORK FOR RORY!”

“Stop being weird Evan,” mom said with a sigh. “Besides, it’s mother’s day. I can do whatever I want since I’m your mother.”

“Ah, so that solves the mystery of why you hate your name,” Sebastian said, laughing a little.

“Oh yea? And why do you hate to be called Sebby or Seb?” I asked defensively.

“Because my mom and dad never called me by a nickname. No one ever did, until I moved to America and met Murphy,” he said with a shrug.

“Well, this is certainly an interesting dinner,” Mrs. Amsel said, watching us.

“Oh, right,” Sebastian said, getting up. “I’ll be right back.”

He disappeared and I sank down in my seat, pouting. Stupid mom! Telling that story to Sebastian and his family! Only Rory knew about that, and that’s because he had scared off the bullies. Then again, the bullies had been, of course, Jason and Kyle. Jeez, those assholes.

Sebastian returned, handing a gift bag to his mom. She smiled at him as she opened it, pulling out a handmade care, a picture frame, and a shirt.

“Thank you Sebastian,” Mrs. Amsel said, standing up and hugging her son.

“Happy mother’s day mom. I really do appreciate everything you do. I love you,” Sebastian said, hugging her back and kissing her cheek.

OH MY GOD MY BOYFRIEND WAS CHEATING ON ME WITH HIS MOM.

Okay, first off, ew. Second off, that cheating bastard! First he was a pedophile with Liam, and now he’s incestuous with his own mother! Gross. Sebastian had some serious issues.

“No, I’m not cheating on you with my mom,” Sebastian said, sitting next to me again and pulling me into his arms. “It’s a mother-son bond.”

“Sure, sure,” I said, shaking my head at him. “You incestuous pervert.”

“I love my mother, true. But not the way I love you. There’s no way I could ever love anyone the way I love you,” he said, kissing me. “You crazy little boyfriend of mine.”

“So Evan, where’s my gift?” mom asked, raising an eyebrow at me.

I gestured to myself. “Right here. Hey, you wouldn’t even get to celebrate this holiday without me. And to think that you dropped my when I was a baby!”

“No, your father dropped you when you were a baby,” mom corrected.

“That explains so much,” Sebastian said with a sigh.

Dad blushed. “I didn’t mean to,” he mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck. “You just squirmed around a lot. You were hard to hold.”

“You just can’t trust the men with babies. My husband dropped Sebastian,” Mrs. Amsel said with a hopeless sigh.

                “What?” Sebastian asked in shock.

Mr. Amsel blushed now. “Nadine! I thought we weren’t going to tell him about that!” he said, frowning.

“Dad, you dropped me?” Sebastian asked, also frowning.

“HA!” I said, pointing at Sebastian. “IN YOUR FACE! YOU GOT DROPPED TOO!”

“But at least I didn’t end up a moron like you,” Sebastian said with a smirk.

“Sebastian Kristof Amsel!” his mom snapped. “Don’t talk to people like that!”

“Sorry,” Sebastian said, kissing me again.

“My husband was sitting on the floor playing with Sebastian when he dropped him, and he dropped him on a carpeted floor, so it wasn’t that bad,” Mrs. Amsel said after shooting Sebastian a warning look.

“I was never informed of this,” Sebastian grumbled.

“Jared was carrying Evan to his crib to put him down for a nap and just dropped him,” mom said. “And now…Well, I like to blame that for why Evan’s such a crazy spaz.”

“Rude,” I said with a pout. Jeez, good to know our moms had found something to friggin’ bond over.

Mom laughed and stood up, moving over to me. She hugged me and I sighed, hugging her back tightly.

“You’re a little spaz, but you’re my little spaz,” she said, kissing my cheek.

“Happy mother’s day mommy,” I said. “Although I’m not in love with you the way Sebastian’s in love with his mom. Sebastian’s weird.”

“Sebastian’s good for you, and I’m glad you’re with him,” mom said, offering Sebastian a smile.

She released me and I sat back down with Sebastian, resting my head on his shoulder. He kissed me and I grinned. Alright, so this mother’s day hadn’t gone as horribly as I thought it would.

A.N.- Okay, I know it was random and it sucked, and I'm sorry. But I felt like writing something ahaha. Also, sorry Evan's not really acting Evanish. I'm not feeling well today, so it was kind of hard to get into his character :/

Butttttt happy mother's day to all the mother's out there! And to my own mommy, who occasionally gets on the computer and reads my stories without telling me. Haha. But if she hadn't moved me to public school, I never would've started writing. Also, if she hadn't given brith to me, I probably wouldn't have started writing either. But, hey, it's all good! So if you like my stories...I guess you should probably thank Mama SkeneKidz for having such a wonderful little daughter c; Even though I'm pretty sure I drive her crazy most of the time. Ahaha, happy mother's day everyone <3
