Halloween- Collie and Misha
There was a knock on the apartment door that pulled me out of the light fog of sleep. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, swinging my feet over the side of the couch and looking around.
I could hear the water running in the bathroom, wish meant Misha was probably taking a shower. The knocking started up again and I stood up, heading over to the door.
I pulled the door open and stared at the kid and the woman standing in front of me. The kid, dressed as a vampire, smiled up at me.
“Trick or treat!” he said.
“It’s Halloween?” I asked in surprise.
The woman laughed. “Yes, it’s Halloween. The children in the complex come through and trick or treat. Did we wake you up? I’m sorry!”
“No, no, it’s fine,” I said, running a hand through my probably very messy hair. I looked over and sighed. “Well, that explains why Misha left candy out.”
I picked up the bowl of candy that was on the table near the front door. I held it out to the kid and offered him a smile.
“Here you go, kid. Take your favorites,” I said.
“Thanks mister!” he said in excitement, digging through the bowl of candy in search of the good stuff.
“Collie?”
Misha appeared behind me, his hair dripping wet. He was wearing only a loose fitting pair of jeans.
“You didn’t tell me it was Halloween,” I said accusingly.
“I thought you knew. Besides, when I got home from work, you were asleep on the couch,” he said.
“I’m a tired person. Leave my bad sleeping habits alone,” I said.
He chuckled and wrapped an arm around my waist, kissing my cheek. I watched as the boy took a handful of candy and dropped it into his bag.
“Thank you very much,” the woman said, offering us a smile. She took the boy’s hand in hers. “Just so you know, the children start at the bottom and make their way up. You’re probably going to get bombarded in a few minutes.”
“Thanks for the warning. It’s a good thing only one person came so far, since apparently some people forget about Halloween,” Misha said.
“Oh, leave me alone,” I said, lightly hitting him in the arm.
“Well, we’ll let you two go now. Thank you, and happy Halloween!” the woman said. The boy waved as they walked to the next apartment together.
I shut the door and set the bowl of candy down. “Halloween,” I mumbled. “I think I stopped celebrating when I was 11.”
“I had to go until I was 14, because Emma made me,” Misha said, holding me against his damp body.
“Don’t lie; you enjoyed it. You dork,” I said, turning in his arms and kissing him.
He kissed me back, hard. We stumbled towards the couch together and fell back on it, my hands roaming Misha’s chest. He wrapped his legs around my waist and grinded up against me slowly. I moaned against his mouth.
Someone knocked on the door and we broke apart. I lazily glanced at the door before looking back down at Misha.
“Can we just lock it and pretend we’re not here?” I asked.
“No,” he said, sitting up and pulling me with him. “You’ll break the hearts of candy-craving children.”
“I’m alright with that,” I said, lacing our fingers together and walking with him to the door.
Misha pulled the door open and two little girls yelled out “Trick or treat!” They were dressed as Power Puff Girls, and I couldn’t help but crack a smile.
I grabbed the bowl of candy with my free hand and offered it to them. “Take your favorite.”
“You’re so generous,” Misha said.
“I’m a good person, I know,” I said.
“Mommy! Daddy! Look, they have Reese’s!” one of the little girls said in excitement, holding up the candy.
“Here, take two,” Misha said, handing the little girl another.
“Thank you!” the girl squealed.
“Thank you,” the other girl said shyly.
Their parents smiled at us thankfully as the girls went back over to them. We waved and shut the door. I eyed the couch.
“No. No sex while kids are coming and going,” Misha said sternly.
“Why not? We’re supposed to scare them, right? What better way to frighten small children than to let them see gay sex,” I said, kissing Misha.
“You pervert. Save it for tonight,” he said, hugging me to himself. “Besides, I just got out of the shower.”
There was more knocking on the door and we walked over together. Misha pulled the door open and I groaned.
“Trick or treat,” Colin said, grinning at me. Emma and Ant were standing with him.
“Move over, moron. There’s actual kids behind you,” I said, pushing my brother out of the way so that the little boy and girl behind him could come up.
“Trick or treat!” the little kids said, holding up their pumpkin-shaped buckets. Their parents stood behind them, watching them with smiles.
I held out the bowl of candy to them, and told them to take their favorites. Emma smiled as she watched me.
“Aw, that’s so cute Collie! I never thought you’d be giving out candy!” she said happily.
“Why are you guys here?” I asked as the kids dug around the bowl of candy.
“We came to visit you. It was either come here, or I had to stay home and help mom and dad pass out candy,” Colin said with a shrug.
“We just wanted to visit our brothers!” Emma said. “Even though mine really needs to put a shirt on.”
Misha blushed. “I haven’t had the chance to yet!”
“We’re not staying, actually. There’s a party up the street, if you guys want to come,” Colin said.
“No thanks,” I said. “We’re good here.”
“Are you sure?” Ant asked with a frown.
“Positive. This dork wants to hand out candy,” I said, gesturing at Misha.
“Oh hush. We can go to a party if you want,” he said and kissed me.
“Thank you!” the little boy said, taking the little girl’s hand as they dropped candy into their buckets and went back over to their parents.
“No, I have other plans,” I said, setting the candy bowl down. “None sexual plans, I promise.”
“Well, if you change your mind, text me and we’ll come pick you guys up,” Colin said. “Happy Halloween guys. See you later!”
They waved to us and left. I shut the door and went over to the TV, turning it on and gesturing at Misha to sit on the couch.
“What are we doing?” he asked as I flicked the lights off.
“Watching Halloween. I love classic horror movies,” I said, finding a channel that the movie was playing on and going over to Misha.
I snuggled against his topless self and he wrapped an arm around me. He kissed the top of my head.
“This is much better than a party,” I said, taking his hand in mine and resting my head on his chest.
“Yea. I love Halloween,” he said, smiling and turning his attention to his movie.
“And I love you,” I said, smiling softly. Jus cuddling together and watching horror movies. It was so simple, but because I was doing it with Misha, it made me unspeakably happy.
