3 Teasers
Alright! So I asked you guys if you wanted a funny story, serious story, or funny/serious mix. You guys asked for the teasers, so here they are! Along with rough draft descriptions of the stories and the possible titles!
#1- Funny Story
Friend Zoned:
“Greyson?”
Gideon’s voice snapped me out of my depressing thoughts. I turned to face him. “Hm?”
“Why did Coach say you were staring at me?” he asked, glancing at me curiously.
I felt my face heating up and cursed myself for my Irish paleness. Even the slightest blush stood out like a lighthouse on a dark, stormy night.
“I was looking over to see who was performing a drill on that side. It just happened to be you,” I lied. “I wasn’t staring.”
“Oh,” he said, obliviously believing my terrible lie. “Well, you really should pay attention. You could’ve gotten your nose broken.”
“Yea,” I mumbled. Oh, how I loved Gideon’s concern for me.
“I’m going to drop you off so we can shower, then I’ll pick you back up so we can go get dinner,” he said, pulling into my driveway.
“Okay. When are you picking me back up?” I asked.
“I’ll be here in thirty minutes. So don’t take an obnoxiously long shower,” he said as I got out of the car.
I pouted. “I’m not a girl, Gideon.”
“No, but you shower like one,” he said.
“Fair enough. I’ll be ready when you get here,” I said, waving to him and heading into my house.
I basically sprinted up to my shower and jumped in, washing my hair and body like my life depended on it. Gideon was right; I showered like a girl. I tended to take half hour long shower because I liked just standing in the warm water and reflecting on how horribly cliché my life was.
I got out of the shower and hurried into my bedroom, pulling on clean clothes and towel-drying my hair. I pulled on a beanie to hide how awful and messy my hair was.
The doorbell rang and I hurried downstairs, pulling the door open. Gideon raised an eyebrow at me.
“You’re an idiot,” he announced.
“What?” I asked in confusion.
“Greyson, it’s called pants,” he said with a sigh.
I looked down at myself and blushed. Oh my god. It was like that nightmare where you went to school without pants.
Only the nightmare was my life, and I was currently in just my boxers in front of the love of my friggin’ life.
“I’m going to go kill myself from embarrassment, and then I’ll put pants on and we can go,” I said.
“I’ll just be down here waiting,” he said.
I turned and rushed upstairs. I face-palmed myself and pulled on a pair of jeans, inspecting myself in the mirror to make sure I hadn’t forgotten anything else important.
I nodded at my reelection in approval and made my way back downstairs. Gideon was leaning in the doorway, looking drop-dead gorgeous as usual.
“Seriously Greyson? Are you trying to give me eye candy?” he asked with a sigh.
I looked down at myself. “What are you talking about? I put my pants on!”
“You’re also wearing a white shirt when you just got out of the shower,” he said, gesturing at my white V-neck shirt. “But you’re not going up and changing again. So come on.” He gestured at me to follow him.
I followed him out to the car, praying that my shirt wasn’t see-through from the water dripping off of my hair. I didn’t have an amazing body like Gideon. I was just skinny.
We got in the car and Gideon played Alesana, our favorite band. I relaxed back against the seat, enjoying the music.
“If you think you’ll win my forgiveness,” Gideon sang.
“Sweetheart, you’re sadly mistaken,” I sang, grinning.
We continued to sing along with the music. Gideon eventually pulled into the parking lot of our favorite restaurant, and we got out. We went inside together, and a waitress seated us. We sat down across from each other.
“What can I get you boys to drink?” the waitress asked, eyeing Gideon openly.
“We’ll both have Mountain Dew. Make it three Mountain Dews, please. We have another coming,” Gideon said politely.
The waitress hurried away from our table to get us drinks, but not before she gave Gideon another appreciative glance. I bit back my laughter.
“She seems into you, Gideon,” I commented.
“I know. Should I tell her I’m gay?” He chuckled.
And this was why my life sucked so much. Not only was Gideon my sexy best friend, but he was gay, like me. We shared the same bed all the time, had seen each other nearly naked plenty of times thanks to soccer, and Gideon had even given me mouth-to-mouth once after I had nearly drowned in an embarrassing drunken pool incident.
But Gideon had his eyes on another man. Not me.
Say it with me kids: My life sucks. S-U-C-K-S.

#2- Serious Story
The Journal:
“Nash!”
I spun around. I was currently at my locker. My stomach clenched as Francis ran up to me, his eyes a sparkling blue.
“Ready to go?” he asked with that shy smile of his.
I could’ve just kissed his feet. Thank god he was back in a good mood.
“Yea,” I said, shutting my locker. “Do you want me to drive us there?”
“Unless you want to walk to my place,” he said, laughing a little.
We left the school and went down to my car. We got in together and I played All Time Low as I started driving to Francis’s house.
“Francis, I have to ask. Why are you just inviting me?” I asked, glancing at him as I drove.
“Because I want to spend time with just you,” he said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
“Alright then,” I mumbled, unsure of how to really respond to that. Francis was definitely acting weird.
I parked behind Francis’s apartment and we got out of the car together. He led me to the door and unlocked it.
We stepped inside together and I looked around. I hadn’t been to Francis’s place in a few weeks. But as always, it was spotless. His dad was a bit of a clean freak.
Francis lived in a large, nice apartment. After his mom died, his dad had sold the house and moved them to the apartment. Francis had told me it was because they didn’t feel so lonely in a smaller place.
“Do you want anything to drink?” he asked, going over to the refrigerator and grabbing himself a soda. I nodded, and he tossed me a Dr. Pepper.
We went out to his living room and dropped on the couches. Francis turned on the television and we watched it in an awkward silence.
“Francis,” I said after about a half hour. “I know you didn’t invite me here just to watch TV. So spill it. Why did you invite me over?”
He looked up at me, his eyes starting to darken a little. “Because I don’t think you’re straight, Nash.”
I stared at him in shock. “What the hell are you talking about?”
He smirked. “I wasn’t sure. But yesterday, when you opened the door and saw me…something in your face just gave it all away. You think I don’t notice you looking at me? Do you honestly think I’m clueless, Nash?”
“Frank,” I growled. “I’m straight.”
He shifted, sitting up and setting his soda down, his eyes gleaming with joy. “No, you’re not, and you know it. Admit it Nash. You like me.”
“You’re crazy,” I said, shaking my head at him. My heart was slamming wildly in my chest, and I prayed that he couldn’t hear it. How did he know?
Frank got up, moving over to the couch I was on and sitting next to me. He gently tilted my chin so that I was looking into those stormy ocean eyes of his.
“Nash, I can tell you like me. And I wouldn’t have invited you here if I didn’t like you back,” he said.
“What-”
My question was cut off as Frank began to kiss me.

#3- Funny/Serious Story
(I've already given a teaser to this story, and am still debating with the name of it. So I'll just give a possible name haha.)
Consequences:
He brought me to my bedroom and laid me down on my bed. “I’ll be right back,” he said, disappearing out of my room.
He returned a minute later with an ice pack wrapping in a paper towel and a glass of water. “Lift up your head,” he said. I did so, and he placed the ice pack under my neck.
He put the water on my dresser. “You need to eat something. Just tell me what you want and where it is,” he said.
“There’s leftover pizza on my counter. Can you just bring me a slice of that? You can have some too, if you want,” I said.
Jesse nodded and left my room. He came back a few minutes later with warmed up pizza. He helped me sit up and placed the plate on my lap.
I ate as Jesse looked around my room. My room really wasn’t that interesting. I had a few posters and quotes hung up on the wall, along with some pictures of family and friends.
“A room says a lot about a person. I like the quotes you have up,” he said. “Especially this one. ‘Experience attraction freely and worry about labels later’.”
I nodded. “Well, yea. I love that quote. I think it’s so true. Don’t worry about what people think of you.”
“I agree. Besides, your sexuality doesn’t affect anyone else. So why should you care what they label you based on it?” He sat on the end of my bed. “When the popular kids found out I was gay, they called me all sorts of things. They thought they were funny. But they gave it up when they realized that it never bothered me.”
I choked on my pizza and gulped down water, my eyes going wide as I stared at Jesse. “You’re gay? Seriously? I thought you had a girlfriend last year! There was that one girl going around school saying you guys were dating and had slept together!”
Jesse made a face and shook his head. “Nope. Monica wishes she could have sex with me. But no, I was never dating her and I certainly never screwed her. I did have a boyfriend in the beginning of last year, but Aiden went to a different school. We broke up after a few months.” He shrugged, unconcerned.
“I never knew that,” I said.
“Because it’s not something I usually reveal. I figure my sexuality is no one else’s concern,” he said.
“Dominik!” I cried, suddenly remembering him. “Dominik’s going to wonder where I am!”
“Calm down. Just call him,” he said.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and frowned when I saw that I already had several calls and texts from Dominik. I dialed his number and held the phone up to my ear as it began to ring.
“Tyson! Finally! Where the hell are you?” Dominik asked, sounding afraid.
“I started moving around too soon. I started to black out, but Jesse found me. He brought me home. I’m fine Dominik. I promise,” I said.
“I’ll be right over,” he said and hung up.
“He’s going to freak out when he sees me,” I groaned.
“Yea, you are pretty pale,” Jesse agreed.
“Thanks,” I grumbled, rolling my eyes. I tossed my phone onto my dresser and sighed, staring up at my ceiling.
Jesse reached over and snatched my phone off of my dresser. I raised an eyebrow at him. Was he planning to go through my phone or something?
“I’m just giving you my number. I’m pretty experience with the whole blood drive thing. So you can text me or call me if you’re having another spell,” he explained, entering his contact and texting himself off of my phone so that he would have my number.
He handed my phone back to me. “There. I’m in there by my name, Jesse Kahler. So if you’re having any more trouble with this and Dominik isn’t here or can’t help you, call me.”
“Thank you,” I said, putting my phone in my pocket.
“Just lay down and keep eating and drinking. You should be fine,” Jesse said.
He grabbed my arm and slid closer to me. He placed his fingers against my wrist, glancing at the alarm clock next to my bed.
“Tyson are you-”
Dominik froze as he entered my room. He stared at me and Jesse, and I blushed a little. Jesse, however, paid no attention to Dominik.
He released my arm. He moved his hand up and brushed my hair out of my face, pressing the back of his hand against my forehead.
He stood up and nodded at me. “You seem a lot better. Your heartbeat is pretty much back to normal, and your skin doesn’t feel warm anymore. Now that Dominik’s here, I guess I better head out. Unless Dominik wants me to drive him back to school so he can get your car,” Jesse said, glancing at Dominik.
Dominik shook his head. “No. That’s alright. Tyson’s mom or dad can bring me when they get home,” he said, his face expressionless. “But thanks anyways.”
“Thank you for helping me Jesse. I’d be unconscious on the school floor if it weren’t for you,” I said, shooting Dominik a stern look.
“Don’t worry about it. Anyways, call me if you need me,” he said, giving me a short wave. I watched as he walked out of my bedroom and listened until I heard my front door shut.
Description: Fun-loving best friends Tyson and Dominik couldn’t be any happier. They are almost boyfriends, just waiting for the right moment to make it official.
