Okay, so, as probably most of you know, Boystory is currently having their first comeback in awhile. They released "Monster" as track one and are going to release "Be Urself" as track two. About fifteen minutes ago Boystory released a teaser video for the "Be Urself" MV. Natural, I was scrolling through the comments and I saw this.

In this I believe they are referring to Shuyang's hair.

[And possibly Zihao's, but I'm not entirely sure, someone let me know.]

Listen, I totally understand their point, and honestly I'm surprised someone hasn't said something before, since this isn't the first time Shuyang has done this, BUT-

[Fair warning I'm voicing some of my honest opinion, not all cause I don't wanna be canceled]

He's literally a child and most likely doesn't have control of what outfits/hairstyles he gets to wear for comebacks, so don't give Shuyang the backlash for this please.

Places like South Korea and China have kinda normalized wearing black culture hair styles. I am NOT saying that makes it okay, but it just a normal occurrence there, how would you expect them to know any better, especially when no one is audibly calling them out? The hairstylists are most likely not educated in things like this that's why it's so common. Even if Shuyang had actually asked for the hairstyle, it's probable that he doesn't understand why it's not okay. I understand in other circumstances with other idols, other things went down, but in this particular situation I truly believe it is not Shuyang's fault.

I can practically hear someone typing away at their keyboard "You're just making an excuse for an idol you're a fan of and shifting the blame."

Listen, I'm a dumb fourteen-year-old myself, so maybe I am, maybe I am just defending an idol I'm a fan of, maybe I am just defending an idol I look up to a huge amount because I don't want him to turn out to actual be a bad person instead of the image I have of him, but as of now, it's my honest opinion and unless someone makes a good, pure argument and educate tf outta me, I don't think I'll be changing it.

What do y'all think about this? Go ahead, voice your true opinions, I wanna know what you think, even if our opinions differ.

But, in the end I'm not black, so, I can't really speak much on the matter.

Go ahead and educate me if you wish, in all honesty I'm not very well versed in things like this, I'm just formulating my opinion with the little bit of knowledge that I have, which isn't the best thing to do I suppose.

I'm in no way trying to be disrespectful, and I hope I don't come across that way.

We all know they're good kids, don't get a bad opinion of them from this dumb mistake.
