"Come on.. go!" Jeremy grumbled, growing impatient with his computer.
Why wasn't his porn loading? He was getting more irritated with each passing second.
"Jeremy, Micheal is here!"
Jeremy groaned. Great, now he'd be uncomfortable all day. He would have punched his laptop, had he had the time.
Pulling his pants on, her mumbled to himself.
"Good morning.. time to start the day."
Micheal stood at the front door of the Heere household, anxiously waiting for Jeremy to hurry his ass up. Being in the same room as Mr. Heere was awkward enough, but the fact he was pant-less was even worse. He didn't hate the guy, he just hated his choice of clothing. (or choice of not clothing) Simple as that.
Jeremy popped in, backpack on his shoulders, irritation written all over his face.
"Hey Micheal.." He grumbled as he passed his friend and went out to his friend's car without waving goodbye to his father, who now looked upset.
Micheal could already tell Jeremy was in a sour mood. Closing the door behind him and giving Mr. Heere a wave goodbye, he hopped into the driver's seat of his car.
___
The duo had been driving for a good ten minutes when Jeremy noticed Micheal was taking unusual turns and twists while driving.
"Micheal, where are we going?" Jeremy inquired in regards to Micheal's mysterious driving patterns.
"We're going to go get (Y/N)." Micheal said, looking smug.
"What!?" Jeremy shrieked, his voice three octaves higher then usual.
Jeremy had a crush on (Y/N) since third grade, but he wasn't sure that she even knew of his existence. She was perfect in every way, from her eyes to her hands to her, ahem, behind.
He originally met her at Micheal's ninth birthday, due to the fact that their parents were both very close to one another and had worked with eachother for years.
(Y/N) had a fun personality, and whenever he was around her, he felt bubbly inside. He could never speak right around her and Micheal would have to do most of the talking.
(Y/N) was also pretty close to Christine Canigula, Jeremy's former crush. They had met at a play rehearsal when (Y/N) was doing the crew, Christine on cast.
He used to like Christine a lot, but that changed when (Y/N) came into the picture. Besides - Christine was a huge lesbian. (No hate, Jeremy himself was bisexual.)
Jeremy got out of his own head as they neared (Y/N)'s house.
"Micheal, you know we cant do that! I'll completely embarrass myself!" Jeremy exclaimed, palms sweating.
"Its too late, dude. I already said I would get her and Christine!" Micheal burst out, taking a turn on (Y/N)'s street.
"Wait, we're getting Christine too?" Jeremy asked, his heart rate speeding up as they neared (Y/N)'s house.
"Yeah, she's neighbors with (Y/N)."
Just great.. Jeremy would be with his former crush and current crush.
Perfect.
_____
Micheal honked twice for (Y/N) and Christine to come out.
The two girls then exited the household, looking absolutely amazing. Christine was wearing her usual getup, jean jacket with a dress and tights.
(Y/N), though, had her own style. She had on a simple white tshirt and jeans, which had rips all over them from her constant tripping. Band-aids adorned her arms and exposed parts of her legs - something common for crew members working around the set. They'd fall and get bruises and cuts everywhere.
Jeremy didn't realize he was staring as she and Christine walked to the car.
"Sup' losers." (Y/N) nonchalantly said, giving a small wave. Christine elbowed her in the ribs playfully, and the two girls laughed.
Micheal flipped (Y/N) off in a joking manner, while gesturing for Jeremy to speak.
"U-uh, hh-i (Y/N)!" Jeremy said, sounding like a dingus.
(Y/N) didn't pay much attention to him and just gave a simple wave. (Y/N) had a very negative flaw - she was the most oblivious person ever. You could give all the hints in the world, and she would still struggle finding an answer. She just accepted things as it is and decided that answers would present themselves.
Jeremy sighed, looking down at his shoes, which rested on the floor of Micheal's car.
Today would be a very long day.
_____
Jeremy wanted to get to his locker, but these three girls would not get out of the way. They must have been telling eachother some juicy gossip, because they all looked captivated.
"Uh.. can I get to my locker?" Jeremy squeaked.
The girls glared at him, before turning and walking away. He heard one mumble something about him getting off to what they were saying under her breath. As if!
He sighed, going to put his books in his locker. He was stopped when a blunt force slammed into him, making him stagger backwards.
"Yo, don't touch me tall ass!" Someone yelled from below him.
Jeremy looked down to see the douchiest, and shortest, kid in the school. Rich Goranski.
"I was just trying to get to my-" Jeremy piped up when Rich turned him against a locker, and wrote something on his backpack.
"You wash that off and you're dead." He said, a smug look on his face as he ran off to a taller boy Jeremy identified as Jake Dillinger.
Jeremy grumbled as he put his stuff away and went to class.
Lunch time. Jeremy looked around the lunchroom for Micheal, and successfully located him. He called out to him.
"Micheal!"
"Jeremy my buddy how's it hanging - lunch is bangin! Had my sushi got my slushy and more!"
Jeremy watched on, confused, as his friend a did little twirl.
"The roll is negamaki and I'm feeling kinda cocky cus' the girl at sevelev gave me a generous pour!" He continued in a sing song-y voice as Jeremy was hit with a realization.
"You're listening to Bob Marley again, aren't you?" Jeremy asked, rubbing his neck anxiously out of habit.
"Ya! I'M listening to Marley and the groove is hella gnarly - and we're almost at the end of the song!"
Micheal did another spin, then removed his headphones.
"And that was the end! Now tell me, friend, how was class? You look like ass!" Micheal hesitated. "Whats wrong?"
Jeremy whipped off his backpack, showing him the back of it.
""BOYF", what does that even mean?" Jeremy sighed, looking at the scribbled out letters
Micheal did the same with his backpack, revealing the letters 'RIENDS'
Together, they spelled 'BOYFRIENDS'
"I hate this school." Jeremy grumbled. "Oh, but on the up side, I wrote (Y/N) a letter telling her how I feel!"
Micheal grinned like a proud parent. "That's progress!" He shrieked.
Jeremy nodded, ecstatic.
"I tore it up and flushed it!" He beamed. Micheal groaned and Jeremy frowned, looking down at his shoes. "That's still progress."
Micheal shrugged, reassurance in his voice. "It's all good. I saw, on Discovery, that humanity has stopped evolving!"
"That's good?" Jeremy asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Evolution's survival of the fittest, right? But now, because of technology...you don't have to be strong to survive. Which means there's never been a better time in history to be a loser! So own it! Why try to be cool when you can be—"
"Signing up for the play..?" Jeremy asked, his eyes glued on the other side of the hallway.
"I was gonna say getting stoned in my basement, but," Micheal said, slightly disappointed.
"No, I mean, look who's signing up for the play!" Jeremy exclaimed.
Micheal turned his head to see Christine and (Y/N) signing up together, arms intertwined like they were children.
"Wow, even (Y/N) in signing up. That's big, doesn't she usually do crew?" Micheal asked his friend. When he didn't reply, he looked over to see Jeremy was no longer next to him and instead making his way to the sign up sheet.
As he took the pen and signed up, he felt all eyes on him.
"Gay!"
Jeremy sighed, looking at his feet.
This better be worth it.
