"Jake, are you sure he's alright? He was really freaking out back there.." (Y/N) mumbled to Jake, who was now sitting across from her at a table in Taco Bell.
They were seated next a window and currently awaiting the food they had ordered. (Y/N) still couldn't understand why this was Jake's favorite place, but she decided to not question it. Her favorite place, after all, was Micheal's basement - the best place to get stoned.
"I'm sure he's fine - look, hes walking around right now!" He replied, gesturing out the window to see Jeremy walking towards a some type of store.
"Doesn't that store only sell women's fashion..?" (Y/N) blurted out, causing Jake to laugh.
It was a kind laugh, not the mocking ones that popular people such as him usually did. It was a laugh that said I think what you said was funny even if that wasn't the intent.
It was a laugh (Y/N) was overthinking, because Jake was now speaking and she had no idea what he was going on about.
"You agree, right?" He asked, unaware (Y/N) had completely zoned out.
"U-uh, yeah! Totally, pH! How could someone not agree?" She responded, overwhelmed with anxiety.
Jake's face lit up, his dimples becoming more prominent as it did so.
"Thank you! Rich said it was ridiculous that I thought a dog flea could jump higher then a cat flea, but then I said.." Jake trailed off, (Y/N) listening but not paying attention.
Instead, she found her mind wondering about Jeremy Heere.
____
"Jeremy?" Micheal asked aloud to the place his friend had been mere minutes before. "Dude, are you here?"
He had tried just about everything - Calling, Texting, face-time, you name it. Alas, Jeremy wasn't here. Micheal hypothesized that Jeremy had went to the bathroom or some store.
He sighed, and dialed Christine. If she was at the mall, the two could hang out for a little bit until Jeremy returned. He usually would have called (Y/N), but he knew that she was out on a date with Jake Dillinger, and he'd rather not bother them - even if he didn't trust Jake.
Micheal had told (Y/N) the night before that he was known as a player, and that this was a bad choice. (Y/N) laughed over their skype call and said that she planned on keeping him at a distance if he tried anything.
Still, though, Micheal wasn't sure about this guy.
"Micheal?" His phone screamed, snapping him back to reality - he had completely forgotton he had dialed Christine!
"Gah, hey Christine! Are you at the mall right now?" He asked, pulling the phone up to his ear.
"Why? Is something wrong?" She replied in a concerned voice. "Are you hurt? Do you need a brain transplant?!"
Micheal chuckled into the phone.
"No, I'm fine. I'm just wondering if you wanted to hang out - I think Jeremy went somewhere without telling me, and he wont pick up my calls."
"Well, I'm sorry to tell you Micheal, but I'm at my house. If you want, you can hang out here until he calls you back." She said sympathetically.
Micheal ran hand through his hair.
"Ill be there in ten minutes." He said with a sigh.
"Great, see you then!"
"See you then.."

"Jeremy, that's a girl's shirt." The Squip said, causing Jeremy to flush red.
"But I have this shirt at home!" He muttered to the Squip, making the Squip groan.
"This is going to be difficult." It sighed.
"You already said that earlier."
"Shush! Don't correct me, that is very uncool." It replied. "Also, popular females incoming."
"Huh? What do you-"
"Jerry?" A honeyed voice spoke out, causing Jeremy to whip his head around. At the store entrance, he saw none other then Chloe valentine - the hottest and most popular girl in school - and her best friend, Brooke (who was more of a watered down chloe with blonde hair.)
"Correct them." The Squip ordered.
"Uh.. Jeremy!" Jeremy blurted out, his palms going sweaty.
"You shop here?" Chloe sneakily asked.
"O-oh, yeah, all the-"
"Never!" The squip corrected.
"I-i mean.. never!"
Jeremy felt a zap.
"Ow! What was that for?" He inaudibly whispered.
"Your posture is incorrect. I can envision possible futures, and I can see a future that turns out well - but in that future, your posture is straight."
Jeremy clenched his fists and stood up straighter.
"Greet the Beta." The squip commanded. It sensed Jeremy's confusing quickly. "Brooke."
"Oh, um, hey, Brooke!" He said with a forced smile.
"Tell her she looks sexy." The squip ordered.
"I can say that to a hot girl!" He thought to himself.
ZAP
"Do it." It growled. "Stare intensely. Keep confident. Act as if you don't care about your own death."
"Uh.. looking pretty sexy, Brooke?" He said, unsure of himself.
Brooke smiled, her dimples showing as she flipped her straight blonde hair over her shoulder neatly.
"Thanks." She purred.
"Is that a girls shirt?" Chloe interrupted rudely.
"No-"
ZAP
"Yes?" Jeremy corrected himself, hoping that was what the Squip wanted.
"Repeat after me." The Squip said, manifesting at his shoulder. "I saw it in the window,"
"I saw it in the window," Jeremy repeated, fumbling with the hem of the shirt.
"And I couldn't dismiss," The Squip continued on.
"And I couldn't dismiss.." Jeremy mimicked, nervously. Would this actually work?
"I was dating a girl," It prompted.
"I was dating a girl!" The lanky teen exclaimed, causing the girls to flinch.
"She had a shirt just like this."
"She had a shirt, uh, just like this." He said, finishing the sentence.
"Its still painful!" The Squip said, melodramatically.
"Its.. still painful." He murmured.
"So, who was this mystery girl?" Chloe asked, adjusting her shirt to show more of her busts.
"Oh, youveprobablyneverheardofher-" Jeremy quickly reassured the girl.
ZAP
"Ow.." Jeremy muttered, fixing his posture, which had started to slouch.
"Madeline. I was dating Madeline." The Squip said, expecting Jeremy to repeat.
"Madeline!" Jeremy forced out, feeling bad for lying to these girls - if they found out, he was done for. Which reminded him- why on earth would the Squip make him lie?
"Its for your own good, Jeremy." It said, placing a hologram hand on his shoulder in a fatherly way. "Now, get back to conversation. Chloe is about to say something."
Jeremy sighed as quietly as possible, and fixed his posture.
(Y/N).
All this lying better help him get to (Y/N).
