Smoke

The edge of the counter digs into my back as Will pushes me up against it and I let out a slight hiss of pain that quickly dies in my throat as soft lips press against my neck. My mouth drops open, my head tilting backwards to give him more exposure and Will gladly complies. His kisses are hot and searing across my skin and I think distantly that they must be leaving physical burn marks wherever they touch.

"Will," I gasp, "what-" I'm cut off by his lips pressing into mine."Ssshhhh..." he whispers against my mouth, hands pushing through my hair, his kisses are needy and persistant. He makes me feel like I am constantly falling, it's unexpected and I never get used to it.

I've forgotten why I was worried in the first place. There's something I'm supposed to be doing, but it doesn't really matter now that his hands are traveling over my sides underneath my shirt, making me press farther into him.

I break away to kiss his jaw and he lets out a low moan than reverberates through him and drives me on, my kisses become sloppy and uncareful.

It's a persistent beeping noise that brings me back to myself, makes me realize that our dinner is still on the stove and now it's burning and filling the kitchen with smoke. I push against his chest gently, "Will... the smoke alarm..."

"It's fine," Both his voice and his hands are insistent and I want so badly to believe him.

I shake my head, ignoring the low whine that slips past Will's lips as I duck away from him. He reaches out for me feebly, grasping at my arm in an attempt at making me come back, "Neeks..."

I turn around and press a quick kiss to his lips, narrowly avoiding being pulled back against him, "Later," I tell him, but he still pouts at my back as I take care of our burnt dinner.

Still, he helps out with the smoke detectors anyway, and then immediately pushes me back against the wall, making me laugh against his lips.

"You impatient li-" he doesn't let me finish.
