Toshi

Kat falling in the pool and coming up smiling was probably the highlight of my day.

I look around and seeing it was empty I take a deep breath and remove my shirt being in my swim binder and I jump in

I swim up and Kat smiles at me and I blush a bit

"Here comes the most epic jump of the century!" We here and Kiri does a front flip in the pool splashing us

We laugh and see Denki smiling at us sitting on the edge of the pool

"Denki aren't you going to join us?" I ask and he hesitates

"Give me a bit." He laughs nervously and I frown.

Kiri swims to the edge to talk to him and suddenly we hear thunder boom over us

"That was loud, good thing the pool is inside." He says and suddenly Denki backs away from the pool a bit but still is near us to see us

"Uh I might not swim tonight." He mutters

"Why you alright?" I ask and start swimming to the edge

"Its a storm. And it actually effects my quirk so I would rather not risk it." He explains and my widen

I never thought about Denki quirk going off in a pool. But now that he mentioned it that would be bad

Hmmm...

I look at the others and they seem to be thinking

Kat hops out of the pool suddenly and gets near Denki

"Out of curiosity how does it effect your quirk?" He asks and Denki who thinks

"It causes me to tick. And make electricity go over my body. Sometimes causes me to shock myself" He says quietly but I barely catch it

He never told me that before, but that explains why he is always absent during a thunder storm.

He never shows up to school during them but he just told me he was feeling sick.

But to be fair we haven't got many storms during the the last 2 years like 3 max and spaced out

"Maybe we should go back to the room? Or what do we do?" Kiri asks

"Well I can take one more pill and then with Dunce it's up to him." He says and I hop out of the pool with Kirishima in pursuit.

"No I'm fine just keep swimming alright." He says and I roll my eyes

"Denks come on let's go." Kiri says and Denki sighs getting up

I look at Denki hair and parts of it was standing up and I let my eyes sweep over his body and I see his fingers twitching

I've been with Denki for almost 2 years. And here's one thing you need to know

His quirk hurts him. He slowly building up the range that he can use little by little but right now if he went full max with his quirk it would hurt him

He always fought me on telling Shouta. But finally I did, so secretly we took Denki to the doctor and found when he overmaxes it causes his brain to crash which causes him to have a reading disability

With this learned Shouta prerecorded tests, reading the questions and list of answers. This has helped Denki grades to rise tremendously and Shouta made the other teachers do it. Hizashi had to sit in the room with Shouta at home sometimes to do it so he didn't start yelling. Then with the prerecordings they give Denki earbuds on test day and he listen to during the test.

Reason I'm explaining this. Because the others don't actually know that so they don't realize how bad this can end up being

"Toshi." I hear and I look up and Kiri was giving me my shirt

"Here, we are about to leave." He smiles and I kiss his cheek and throw it on

We then head up to the room and I notice a few of Denki ticks but everything one happens I see him shock himself quietly when he did it and I frown

While in the elevator when he attempted this again and I grabbed his hand which shocked me but I didn't care but he looked at me like I was crazy but sent him a look

I let go of his hand and he doesn't do it anymore

We get to the room and Kat opens the door and let's us in Denki goes straight to the balcony and closes it

"I actually don't know what to do about this." Kat says and I sigh

"His quirk hurts him." I say and they look at me

"What?" Kiri asks and I take a deep breath

"When he overuses his quirk it shuts part of his brain down which you've seen him do before. But when he recovers parts of his brain are still damage which is why he wasn't doing so well in school. I made Shouta take him to the doctor and we found out he has dyslexia caused from his quirk." I explain and their eyes widen

"So you guys of have seen him have earbuds in during the test? Well that's because Shouta pre-recorded his tests of him reading the questions and the answer options out loud, that's why his grades are better." I say and Kiri looks to the balcony

"For such a fun loving guy he does deal with a lot." He says quietly

I notice Kat have guilty look with worried me but I sigh

"I'm putting on my hero suit. It's leather so while I'm talking to him and if something goes off it won't hurt me." I say and Kiri stops me

"Let me do it." He said and I step back and he heads out to the balcony

Kirishima

I go out and Denki is looking at the storm and sighs

"Are you alright?" I ask and he turns his head to look at me

"I need fresh air." He says quietly and I walk near him and he backs up

"Babe I love you. But you need to stay away from me right now." He says as electricity flows across his fingertips

"One. I can harden myself, two where do you plan on sleeping, you can't sleep out here." I say and he sighs and his shoulder twitches and he shocks himself a little to stop it

"I'll sleep on the couch. Good thing it's a leather couch" He says laughing but it sounded very hollow

"Babe. Is there anyway it can stop? Do we have to wait out the storm or something?" I ask and he shrugs

"I don't know my parents ts just told me shock myself to control my ticks. That's it" He laughs a little and I frown

"That isn't okay." I say and he shrugs and thunder booms loudly and he glances up

Then it rains.

"Come on baby." I say and grab his hand and harden it and pull him inside

"Alright I'll go to the store real quick and grab it. It could work." Kat said and Toshi nodded

"Alright be safe." He says and Kat throws on his jacket and leaves

"Where is Kacchan going?" Denki asks and Toshi turned to us

"We have an idea. We thought about if an empty battery would trap that extra electricity flowing through you. Then you wouldn't hurt yourself or us." Toshi explained and Denki raised an eyebrow

"I never thought about that. But how would I go about doing that?" I say and Toshi froze for a second then runs to his room

I chuckle light and Denki snorted but had a smile on his face

"He's been more relax since he told us about his past." I mention and Denki nodded

"I remember when he told me and how he acted. Such a goofball honestly. You wouldn't think he would be so quirky but he is and it's adorable." He says sparks flow through his hair

"I love it honestly" I chuckle and Toshi comes back

"By the way he never told you guys yet but he is a science nerd." Denki whispers and I raise an eyebrow and Toshi comes up to us

"So since metal is a conducter of electricity if we connect the battery box to this metal chain belt which youll wear. The electricity will automatically got to belt and go to the battery." He says handing it to Denki and Denki back up a little bit and carefully and quickly took the belt

Just like Toshi predicted. Electricity went across the belt real quick and Katsu walked in with an empty battery

"Alright, flew fucking everywhere for this box." He chuckles and and Toshi grabs it and puts on his leather gloves

"Denki, put on the belt please." Toshi asks and Denki does so putting it around his hip and Toshi carefully hooks up the small battery to it

"Alright that should do it." He beams and Denki looks down

"I don't feel anything." He says and Toshi   looks him up and down then grabs his hand

"Try to activate your quirk. Like a minor shock." He says and Denki shakes his head

"No are you crazy?" He asks and Toshi rolls his eyes

"Just do it, just a small one." He says and Denki sighs

"Fine" He says and holds Toshi hand and looks like he is focusing

I saw the smallest spark flicker in his hair but immediately disappear and Toshi grins

"See I didn't feel a thing. It worked!" He exclaims and Denki laughs

"Science nerd" he says and Toshi rolls his eyes and I ruffle his hair

"You didn't tell me you liked these types of things." I said and Toshi shrugs a bit

"Its not a big thing." He says and I look and Katsuki has Denki dragged off to the side and they talked quietly

"I wonder what their talking about." I asked and Toshi shakes his head

"Its not our concern. If they want to they'll tell us." He assures me and I nod and we walk into the bedroom

I glance back at them and I see Katsu looking guilty and Denki seeming upset

I hope everything is alright

Denki

Kacchan drags me me off to the side and I look at him and he looks...worried

"How bad does it hurt you?" He asks and I immediately no what he is referring to

"Uh...well you know...just a little nothing to bad." I say brushing it off and he looks at me seriously

"Dunce just tell me." He says and I sigh and rub my arm

"Well...if I max out my quirk and I go...into the dumb mode...it means electricity is still circling my brain and it's hitting certain nerves. And once I come out of it...it leaves effects. Some are temporary...and....some are..."I trail off and I feel myself tick in my fingers and I kind bring them behind my back

"Permanente?" He asks and I nod a little

"Yeah." I say and he runs his hand down his face

"Dunce. You never told me this, I have literally maxed out your quirk to make the class laugh and feel better after getting chewed out by Aizawa when they saved me, we used you as a lighting rode...and you never said a thing. " He says looking like he was trying to stay calm

I look down and I see Kiri and Toshi walk into the bedroom and I sigh and my shoulder twitches

My ticks are random. They tend to come and go, I don't have tourettes or anything like that, they mainly happen when I feel nervous or upset. I got them when I maxed out my quirk for the very first time

"Its not that bad and the lighting rode helped saved everyone. And in fact maxing it out tends to speed up how much I can use it." I state and he looks up with narrowed eyes

"At the risk of your health? That's not worth it. For quirk usage you need slowly build up using a little more each time you use your quirk. That's how I built up my quirk. You can't go 100% immediately Denki." He said and him saying my name made my heart skip a beat a little and I blush lightly

I like my nickname but I like it more when he says my name. I've only heard him say it once or twice before

"I know, I'm sorry. But to be honest, I find it hard to tell you personal things like that." I say and I cover my mouth

Shit! I didn't mean to say that.

He looked at me a little stunned and I look down

"I...I'm sorry, I d-didn't mean to say that....it's just, for the longest time I thought you didn't like me even when were technically friends....and to find out you did like me was very surprising...and we got together...I saw how sweet you could be and I saw how sweet you were to Toshi and playful with Kiri...but you tend to still mess with me and yes I do know that's how you show your feelings towards me and I do like it but sometimes I want that sweet side and playful side. But I felt if I told you how I felt you would stop all together and I don't want that.....I want all those sides of you...so that's why I decided not to tell you anything." I say and tears prick my eyes as I look down and suddenly I'm pulled in his arms and he kisses my head gently

"Idiot, I'm not gonna stop messing with you ever. If you want more just tell me, I don't want you to ever feel that I don't love you or anything Denki. I love you and Kirishima, and Toshi so much. It's just hard for me to say it all the time so I try showing it in different ways. You can always tell me anything." He says and and I lay my head on his chest and runs his hand in my hair

"I'm sorry." I whisper and a few tears slip down my face

"Don't apologize, I should have tried to be more open about my feelings with you." He whispers and I take a shaky breath

"Can we stay like this for awhile?.." I ask feeling some embarrassment rush over me, I don't usually act like this but I want him to hold me for awhile

"Of course." He says and he picks me up causing me to cling to him tighter and we sit on the couch and he pulls a blanket over me and holds me close and I look at him and he leans up and kisses me

I kiss back and moves my hair behind my ear and pulls back looking at me

"Not gonna lie, your jokester attitude makes me happy but I love this shy side of you. It's rare to see." He says and I blush and lay my head in his chest and he chuckles and kisses my head

"Hey, I have a favor." I ask and he looks he hums

"Can you call me Denki for now on?" I ask quietly and he runs his hand in my hair

"Okay Denki." He whispers and kisses my head again

Well. This was a very unsuspecting crazy day.

I feel his breathing slow and I look and he passed out, I smile and snuggle close to him laying on his chest

But it was so worth it
