Ok so I just got back from a recency style dance and only a few people on here will have gone to one, but seriously they are the best things ever. Ok so on to the imagine!

"Oh my stars c/n! I'm so psyched for tonight!" I was talking to my long-time crush before the dance started, both of us had been going to these dances for years but has always missed dances together. This time we were finally going to the same one.

"I know, right? These dances are so epic!" He looked over at me, smiling, and my heart melted. His smile is so perfect.

" Well, if you don't mind, would you dance with me for the first dance? " I asked, twisting my fingers together behind my back.

"It would be my honour, y/n." He replied taking my hand and kissing it. I blushed heavily, and dragged him into the floor as the first dance began.

C/n and I had danced 4-5 times already, which was technically against the rules, but no one much followed that rule. I

"Alright everyone, it's time for the last dance of the night, Virginia Reel, modernly known as Step the Willow. Everybody grab a partner and get into groups of three." The caller said as people quickly chose partners.

" hey y/n, would you care to be my partner? " C/n stood in front of me, his hand outstretched, waiting for my answer.

"Of course c/n. It would be my pleasure." I replied, smiling as I took his hand. He grinned back at me and we joined our group of friends. My best friend gave me the side-eye, grinning, and I smirked back at her.

The dance began and our group was well-experienced, and the whole dance went smoothly, and lived up to its standards of best dance of the night. After the dance finished and everyone had finished their thanks and bows, c/n grabbed my hand and gently pulled me outside to the side of the building. We caught our breath in the cool air, exhausted from the many ours of dancing.

"Hey y/n I was wondering..." He scratched the back of his neck.

"Yeah?" I responded quietly.

" I was wondering if maybe...you would be my girlfriend? I really really like you and.. I dunno.. I guess I thought you might like me too? "

"Well, you were right. I like you too. I have for a while actually." I murdered, blushing heavily.

C/n's entire face out up in a huge smile as he cupped my cheeks in his hands and brought his face close to mine. He was close enough for me to feel his breath against my lips as he whispered, "would you mind if I kissed you?" I replied to him by pressing my lips firmly against his, as he kissed me back with equal fervour. We were both smiling and his hands cupped my cheeks gently while mine rested on top. We separated and he rested his forehead against mine and whispered, "I love you so much y/n"

"I love you more."
