(lmao this is a timeskip)

(also I'm cringing right now because the word "funner" is in this)

(I'm sorry, Emma said it, not me)

(Jeremy's POV)

"Hi Jeremy!!"

"Hi, Emma," I replied with a smile. She grinned back.

"Where's Michaew?"

"Oh, he's going to the bathroom. He'll be here in a minute. How are you?"

"I'm great! My birthday is gonna be in four months!" she told me, holding up four fingers. "I can't wait to be three!"

"Someone's excited. What are you doing for your birthday?"

"Getting owder?"

"No, silly, I meant something fun! Like a party."

"Getting owder is fun. Being owd is so much funner."

"One day you'll regret you said that," I said with a laugh.

"JER! JER!" Michael called, running over to me.

"What? What happened?"

"SMELL MY HANDS," he commanded, shoving his hands in my face. I sniffed.

"They don't smell like much," I admitted.

"What are you talking about? The soap in there is raspberry!"He exclaimed. He sniffed his hands, and sighed happily. "Can we steal it?"

"Of course not!" Michael frowned.

"Lame."

"I can ask them where they got it," I offered. He nodded quickly. "You dork."

"I'm your dork, though," he said, taking hold of my head and pecking my forehead.

"I ship it," I heard Emma whisper under her breath.

"What was that?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Nothing," she replied with a giggle.

"Oh really?"

"Mm-hmm," she said with a nod, slowly backing away.

"Really? I thought I heard different. I seem to remember there was a-" I started, but was cut off.

"DISTRACTION!" she yelled, throwing a block on the ground and dashing off.

"I'll go left, you go right," Michael instructed.

"Two-player game?"

"Two-player game."

We ran off in the decided directions. I knew Michael was faster than me, so I prepared to get her from behind.

Emma ran into Michael and squeaked. She turned around, but was faced with yours truly. I swiftly picked her up.

"Now, what did you say before?" I questioned, ruffling her hair.

"I said I sh-ship it," she answered, giggling like mad.

"Awww!" Michael said. "I ship it too!"

"Well duh!" I said to him. Emma started hiccuping from laughing so much. I set her on the ground. She hugged my leg.

We talked and played a bit more, and then we decided to leave to visit Evan. We hadn't visited him in four days, as we had been busy trying to earn extra cash by giving rides via Uber. After Michael forcing me to visit the bathroom to smell the soap, and asking where it was from, and ordering some online, we headed to the hospital.

Evan was supposed to be released from the hospital in only a few days. He would only keep his cast for a week after that. We had signed his cast, and Michael doodled a little tree on it, which made Evan squeal. Some of the nurses also signed it, the biggest being from Nurse Ronnoc.

I knocked gingerly on the door. A quiet "come in" came from inside the room. We walked in.

"Hi, Evan!" Michael greeted happily. Evan smiled, but I could see his eyes were red and puffy.

"Evan, were you crying?" I asked a bit shakily.

"Oh, um, n-no, wh-why would I?" he replied, flashing a fake smile now.

"What happened?" Michael asked, sitting on the bed next to him.

"I- um- nothing. N-nothing happened."

"Evan, please," I begged. He let out a small sigh.

"I missed you guys. I only fun when I'm with y-you," he said, hanging his head low.

Michael engulfed him in a hug.

"Don't worry, you'll be out soon!" Michael said, trying to cheer him up.

"I don't wanna go back thewe." His eyes starting tearing up. "Is someone gonna adopt me soon?"

I looked over to Michael. He nodded to me.

"Actually, Michael and I were thinking about adopting you." Evan quickly let go of Michael and squished his hands to the sides of his face.

"Weally?" he whispered, his eyes sparkling.

"We're gonna work really hard to give you the best life," Michael said with a smile. Evan pulled him back into a hug, which earned a laugh from Mike.

"Evan, we're also thinking about adopting a girl named Emma," I added.

"I GET A SISTEW?" he practically screamed. "Yes!" he exclaimed, punching at the sky in victory.

"She's two years younger than you. She's gonna be three soon, though."

"She's gonna be a tree?" he asked, his face lighting up once again.

"Yep," Michael chuckled.

"Michael, should we head home and look into paperwork?"

"Probably. Sorry, Ev, we gotta go."

"That's okay!" he said, still grinning wide.

"See you soon!" I said with a wave. He waved back and we closed the door.

I grabbed Michael's shoulders and looked into his eyes.

"We're getting kids!" I whisper-yelled with excitement.

"We're getting soap!" he responded, equally as excited.
