It was not only Sohee who knew about your past with haechan but the whole of the school knew about your crush on Haechan. Lee haechan, the most popular guy of your high-school. But you remembered the day of your farewell and the moment he not only rejected but insulted you in front of the whole school.You were very embarrassed to see him but he still looked so beautiful that you couldn't hate him longer. Everyone used to corner you in the high-school and they did the same on this day and started saying " y/n ! y/n! " which annoyed haechan and he already had a girlfriend who was rich and pretty. Haechan shouted "yah! Isn't she the one I literally dumped back in high-school? That stupid ass dumb girl , what was her name , ah y/n" and everyone started laughing . Your head was held low and Sohee was all red with anger but she couldn't speak anything as she was always ignored. At that very moment someone entered the place so you lifted your head up and saw it was none other than your NEIGHBOR! THAT BOY! You got so annoyed because he already acted bitchy to you the very morning. But there was a twist

You thought that why he was so familiar to you because he was your schoolmate but you never really noticed him in high-school probably the sections were different. But all you could feel at that time was embarrassment. He came and put his hand on haechan's and said " yah! Aren't you the one who got bullied during elementary days ? Ah what was your name , haechan right?" . Everyone was shocked , they started whispering to each other even his own girlfriend couldn't believe he had such a furious past. Haechan got really annoyed and was going to punch on his face when he hold haechan's hand and spoke quite confidently " uh huh, use your manners bro". " bro my foot, who tf on earth are you? And how did you know all these?"replied haechan. " I don't even wanna answer haechan" the boy said it and hold y/n's hand and took her out of the place. Y/n was still very shocked she couldn't even believe that someone would really embarrass haechan and save her.

You were feeling very low and he said " umm I know a really nice place so if you don't mind can we go there?". You weren't even care to listen his words and nodded. He took you to a beach and you two sat feeling the cold breeze that touched you both's faces. He said " so you are y/n, I am your neighbor umm ex schoolmate Jaehyun. And I am really very sorry about what I did in the morning actually I was very frustrated at that time so I didn't talk to you I am very sorry though ". You were so moved by his behavior and spoke " that's okay atleast you bothered about me or people doesn't even care about me. You are probably the first to say a sorry to me and it's perfectly alright I didn't mind".
He spoke softly " look at me, you can tell me what happened with you I'll listen".
Surprisingly you felt as if you could really trust him and say everything to him so you started " You know jaehyun back in those high-school days, when my mind was up in the sky, my heart was young, new to love, sought for affection, had pure intentions I had something more than love for Haechan.
He seemed to be a funny , lovable boy and I fell for him. It was the day of farewell I collected some money and brought flowers for him and went to him and it was the worst moment of my life. He was with his friends when he came to me and threw the flowers on the ground. I was so shocked and whole of the school was staring and me . He pushed me and said " do you really think you are of my standard, lmao I pity you y/n. Shut tf up and get your life together and kindly think about people's prestige before you approach them. You couldn't resist anymore and you were crying the moment you ended the story.
Jaehyun was so emotional at that time that he didn't knew how to comfort you so he stepped closer and rubbed the tears away from your cheeks.
In midst of all these you felt something when he touched your face. You felt this was the exact touch you were starved of , the exact warmth you needed . You wanted that to continue longer but Jaehyun stepped backwards and said
" Aye who cries for a bullshit boy like haechan, I have a similar story too but never really I cried like you are doing too" . The moment you felt something,  more like you remembered something and asked jaehyun " do we share some kind of memory in the past? Cause you seem and feel so familiar?" . He was a little scared about something and said " no no I rarely saw you " and immediately smiled when his dimples popped up which made him look hella cute. You said " ah sorry" . " never mind we are friends now" . After that you both joked and spent the whole evening together but the more time you spent the more familiar he was to you . You were confused but somewhat sure that you really had met someone so genuine . He totally made you forgot about haechan's dominating  activities. You spoke " you were telling about some similar incident in your life , tell me about that too" . He said " people say the more you get closer to a person the more you want to hide from that person so that they don't get a wrong idea about you and leave". You both looked at each other while the stars were shining over you both. You both laughed .
