TWO
HOSEOK'S POV~
"How was your first day at the new school?" My friend Namjoon from back home asks.
"It was okay, definitely very strange. It's a big change but I did already make a friend." I say, smiling without meaning to.
I definitely hadn't expected to make a friend so soon but I was glad that I did.
"Nice! What is their name?" Namjoon asks with a smile.
"Y/n and her other friend is named Ari." I say and as soon as I do, Namjoon's ears perk up.
"Girls?! Are they hot?"
I rolled my eyes instantly, not surprised at all that this was what he asked first. Back home Namjoon was always a playboy getting all the girls.
"I mean yeah they're cute." I say. I wasn't going to lie, I definitely found y/n to be a bit more attractive, not that it mattered.
"Are you gonna try to get with one of them?" Namjoon asks as he wiggles his eyebrows.
"Oh no! Of course not they're just friends. Besides, I just met them don't make it weird." I say and Namjoon laughs.
"Okay okay I understand but if anything changes you better let me know or I'll kill you when you come back."
"Will do." I say before we change the subject, just talking about all these other differences of being here instead of in Seoul.
After about an hour or so of talking we ended the call as I got to work on my homework I already had.
This would definitely be a change from what I was use to but I knew that coming here.
I'm looking forward to learning here in the states and I was also looking forward to meeting new friends and getting settled in.
When I came here I got my own little studio apartment and luckily it wasn't too expensive. I'd have to start looking for a part time job but that wasn't a problem at all.
I was just excited to be here and to see how things would go. I'd be in the states for almost a year and then I'd go back to Seoul so until then, I would be studying my heart out.
Making friends on the first day was definitely a plus and I was excited to make even more.
For the moment, Y/n and Ari would do just fine. Which honestly, the two of them were a bit more out there then I'm use to. Namjoon and my other friends were like that too but not to this extent.
Of course that wouldn't change anything since I don't mind it. Besides, they're the first friends I made and I was glad about that.
I was excited to see what being friends with them had in store.

Y/N'S POV~
As soon as I got home from school I crashed into my bed, already feeling exhausted.
School was so mentally draining and I hated it. Luckily, this was senior year so it was so close to being over.
I wasn't sure what my plans for after high school were but it was just the beginning of the year so I didn't care about that just yet. I'd worry about it once it got closer.
My phone going off pulled me out of my thoughts as I looked to see a text from Ari.
Mingyu just kissed me! Can you believe that?! - Ari.
I laughed Instantly. Ari had always been so clueless when it came to Mingyu that she was the only one who couldn't see he was always flirting with her.
Good! And yes I can!! -Y/n
I didn't get a text back so I assumed Ari became busy and with what was not my business. I was happy for her but in a way, I felt worried. That something I hadn't told her about was kind of a big deal.
I didn't want to ruin this for her though so I wasn't even sure I should say anything.
Letting the thought slip away, I start to scroll through good ol facebook. No one used it really besides to post memes but hey, sometimes they were funny. That was the only reason I still had it.
As I was scrolling through it, friends suggestions popped up, so naturally, I began scrolling through them.
To my surprise, I saw Hoseok. Already he had one mutual friend; Ari. I wasn't sure when that had happened but I didn't question it.
I clicked on Hoseok's profile and began to lurk. What could I say, I was curious about this new guy.
As I looked down his feed I saw pictures and tagged posts of him with his friends back in Korea.
I was shocked to see how hot his friends were like seriously, damn. They could be models.
Of course, I couldn't exactly read much seeing as most of it was in Korean and well, I didn't speak that in the slightest and these translations sucked ass.
Now that I thought about it, Hoseok's English was very good. He must have studied real hard before coming here which was to be expected.
As I scrolled down, I stopped upon a picture of Hoseok and some guy, the two of them drinking beers and smiling at the camera. The photo was only from a couple months ago but Hoseok looked so different. I wondered if he switched up his look or something before coming here. Either way, he looked good.
I went back up to the top of the page and sat there. My eyes stared at the 'add friend' button but I hesitated.
I wasn't sure why, seeing as I wasted no time be friending him in class today. I guess I just didn't want to seem weird I don't know.
Shaking the thought away, I hit the button then waited.
It didn't take long until I got a notification saying that Hoseok had accepted my request.
I smiled as I set my phone down but was instantly startled as my phone dinged right away.
Picking up my phone again I was surprised to see a messenger notification from Hoseok.
My curiosity getting the best of me, I opened the message.
JH- I see you found my Facebook too. Your friend beat you to it!
Y/N- Yeah it seems so. I just figured why not since I am your first new friend after all. (:
From there, the two of us started to get to know each other a little better. I learned about his life back in Korea and I told him a bit about mine here as well.
By the end of our conversation I had learned a whole lot more about Hoseok and I was looking forward to getting to know him more.
From what I could tell, the two of us were going to be really great friends!
