SIX

The next few weeks were full of dreadful and boring school work.

I felt like I was drowning in homework and I needed a break, we all did. That's exactly why at this exact moment, Ari was dragging all of us out to some lake house for the weekend.

"This is gonna be so much fun!" Ari yells as she hops in the car, the rest of us piling in.

I got smushed in between Joshua and Hoseok and of course, I was not too happy about that. The ride to this lake house was gonna be a somewhat long one and the last thing I wanted was to be seated next to Joshua the whole time.

"Damn right it will!" Joshua grins as he nudges my shoulder slightly, instantly causing me to shift away and into Hoseok.

Hoseok didn't say anything thankfully. Instead he just let me do so even though it was taking up his personal space.

Pretty much the whole car ride to the lake house was filled with Ari and Mingyu singing, Joshua being annoying, and Hoseok and I making small talk.

Before I knew it, we were there.

"Finally." I say as I hurry out of the car, excited to be away from Joshua and even more excited to stretch out my cramped up legs.

"There's only three rooms here so we'll have to get that figured out but for now, let's drink!" Ari cheers as she runs inside, not even bothering to grab her things.

As I wondered about the room situation, I grabbed my bags and hauled them inside, glad I packed light. We'd only be here for three days and two nights so no need to go crazy.

Once all of us were inside, I took a seat on one of the couches as I watched everyone moving about getting settled in. Well, besides Ari who was already making herself a drink.

"They're giving me my own room. I think Mingyu said something about you and Ari sharing and then him and Joshua." Hoseok says as he joins me on the couch.

"Okay that works." I say, instantly grateful that Joshua hadn't tried to weasel his way into rooming with me. That was the last thing I wanted.

"Do you plan to drink?" Hoseok then asks as he looks over at me before he leans back into the couch.

"Probably a little but nothing too crazy." I say and he nods slowly.

"What about you?" I ask and he shakes his head. "No I don't think so. Not really feeling it." He says.

"Understandable. Do you usually not drink?" I ask, feeling genuinely curious.

"I do but not too often. I'd consider myself a lightweight so I just tend not to drink much. It's not really my thing." He says and right away, I respected that.

Drinking wasn't for everyone and that was okay. Personally, I liked to be sober rather then shit faced too so I saw where he was coming from.

"Here!" Ari says, interrupting our conversation as she pushes a cup in front of my face.

Right away I could smell how strong it was. "Damn, did you pour the whole bottle in here?" I ask but she simply grins as she turns on her heels and heads back towards the kitchen.

I could see Hoseok watching me as I took a sip, my nose instantly scrunching up in disgust as I was right. This was like 90% alcohol and 10% chaser.

"Too much?" He asks with a slight laugh. "Definitely too much." I confirm as I set the cup down, knowing I wouldn't drink it.

After a bit, everyone gathered in the living room, drinking and talking about random stuff. At this point, we were all a bit buzzed, besides Hoseok of course.

"Just out of curiosity, do you two ever make-out? Like girl on girl." Joshua says with a creepy look in his eye as he stared at Ari and I.

Before I could even begin to shut down his creepy fantasies, Ari lies through her teeth.

"Oh yeah, all the time. Want to see?" She asks as she winks in Joshua's direction.

"Hell yeah!" He says, his face becoming even creepier as he imagined it.

Men were definitely weird and well Joshua, he was the creepiest of them all.

Ari leans closer to Joshua before she says, "That's too bad. We only make out in private. No boys allowed." I couldn't help but to laugh at Ari's toying with him.

"Damn. I'm sure Hoseok wouldn't have minded seeing that either, right man?" Joshua grins and we all turn to look at Hoseok who was now alert.

Hoseok seemed to become flustered at the sudden all eyes on him.

"Leave him be. Hoseok isn't a perv like you." I hiss, earning a few ooh's from Ari and Mingyu.

"You never seemed to mind sophomore year. From what I remember you loved all parts of me." Joshua winks and I throw up in my mouth a little.

"Why don't you guys just hook up again and get it over with. It's obvious you two just need to hate fuck and get it all out there." Ari says and without even thinking, I make a disgusted face.

The very thought of ever hooking up with Joshua again grossed me out.

"She'd love it." Joshua says and I felt myself getting angry at how cocky he was.

Letting that anger get the better of me, I spoke without thinking.

"As if. I'd fuck literally anyone else before I'd fuck you again. Hell, I'd fuck Hoseok over you any day."

The room fell silent and my eyes widened as I realized what I said.

"I don't mean that literally. My bad." I say as I glance over at Hoseok who looks shocked.

"Maybe you should get on that." Ari winks, sending me a thumbs up.

Of course Ari didn't know about Hoseok being a virgin and all that. I figured it was best to keep that from her seeing as she didn't have a filter and I didn't want to make Hoseok uncomfortable.

Well more uncomfortable then he clearly was right now.

I shifted in my spot as I reached for the drink Ari had made me. Without giving it a second thought, I downed it.

That being the only thing that would get me through this night.

HOSEOK'S POV

Eventually, everyone was wasted. So much for y/n not drinking much but I guess after what happened with her and Joshua, she needed it.

I felt bad for her, honestly. She shouldn't have had to deal with this guy back then and definitely not now.

That's why I didn't take what she had said earlier too seriously because of course she'd rather hook up with anyone else but him.

Although I do have to admit it did boost my ego a little after hearing her say my name.

Shaking the thought away, I turn back to the scene in front of me.

Y/n and Ari were currently dancing around the living room to some random song, neither of them seeming the least bit tired.

Unlike Joshua who had went to his room and passed out and Mingyu who was trying his hardest to stay awake.

"Come dance with us!" Y/n grins as she starts moving towards me. I instantly object, not really feeling in the mood to dance with two wasted girls.

"You're no fun." Y/n frowns as she falls into the spot beside me, her head instantly falling into my lap.

Shocked, I shifted slightly but that caused y/n to move her head up, bringing it inches from mine.

I felt my face heat as I got flustered at the sudden closeness.

"Do you wanna kiss? I like to kiss when I'm drunk." Y/n grins, the strong scent of alcohol wafting up my nose.

"I'm good." I say, feeling uncomfortable. Not uncomfortable because I thought y/n was unattractive or not my type, but uncomfortable because of how drunk she was.

Y/n frowned as she stood up, stumbling slightly as she made her way over to Ari.

"Let's go." Y/n says as she leans her head again Ari's shoulder.

Ari nods and I can see Mingyu mentally jumping for joy as he too stands, ready to go to sleep.

"You guys are going where?" I ask, watching the two of them stumbling slightly.

Y/n turns to me and grins widely, her words slurring.

"To make out... in private."
