Donghyuck kept thinking about Mark, the attractive guy from the cafe. He hasn't come back from the shop for three days because he was too shy. He was trying to ask his friends if they want to meet up there as an excuse after school but all of them are either busy and too lazy to go with him. He hasn't even know Mark's twitch name but his name does sound like minthyung, the one who kept donating and spamming in chat.
Since he doesn't have any schedule today other than streaming at afternoon, Donghyuck decided to take a visit to the cafe and brought his homework to do it there, as an excuse. The cafe seemed to be busy, there were a lot of people today. It is Friday so people must be feeling good to be in a cafe this early.
He was still able to find a table to sit in. His eyes wandered around, trying to hide the fact that he's looking for someone specific. Then there he is. Still rocking that uniform they have inside the cafe.
Where were you when I was in partner searching?!
The boy doesn't really know how to approach him because there were so many people and he was afraid that he might lose his table. Maybe he'll do it later when the customers lessen a bit. For the meantime, Donghyuck took out his textbook and pen.
He sighed as he flipped through the pages. He does his assignments early anyway but it's new to have a cup of coffee while doing it. He usually does it with an energy drink.
"Good morning, may I take your order?"
Donghyuck looks up and saw Mark standing beside him with a smile on his face, his hands inside the pockets of his apron.
"O-Oh, hey. I'll just order later at the counter," the boy said, smiling back.
"Well, I'm currently free so I'll get your order right now. I'll be the one making it anyway," the manager uttered.
Donghyuck chuckled, "There shouldn't be any special treatment from the manager, is there?"
"You are our special guest."
"Don't treat me like that. But I liked the drink you suggested last time," the streamer propped his chin on his hand when he put his elbow on the table.
Mark nodded, "Okay. Do you have any requests? Maybe another shot of espresso or whipped cream?"
"No. How you did the last time was good."
"I'll come back with your drink then. Wait for a while."
"Don't get frazzled."
The man laughed, "I won't."
Donghyuck wants to slap the table so loud from how handsome Mark is up close. He wants to cry but instead, he went to faceplant himself into the textbook. His heart is in need to stop from beating so fast.
He sneakily gave the man a glance, watching him work. Those broad shoulders are to die for. Even if he has his back facing him, Mark's just really handsome head to toe, front and back. For a second, he was blabbering about him being straight in stream and now he's head-over-heels for this guy he just barely met.
Donghyuck shook his head and looked away, minding his own business. He started doing his assignment that was due at the end of the week. He writes down his answer on a piece of paper he just has inside the textbook. The boy does hear his penname being called every once in a while. He just waves at them politely and went to do his work, indirectly telling them not to disturb him.
After a while, the streamer saw a cup of coffee and a plate of chocolate croissants. Donghyuck's eyes shimmered as soon as he saw food.
"Thank you! I'll pay these later," the streamer said and went to take a sip on his cold drink.
"I didn't think you live near here..." Mark uttered, thinking that he must be living in one of the apartment buildings here.
Donghyuck chuckled, "I'm surprised you didn't try to stalk me. But no, my university is just near here. I take public transports to come here."
The man nodded, "I wouldn't like to invade your privacy."
"You...You can seat for a while, if you have some free time," the streamer offered, wanting to talk with the manager more.
"If you don't mind."
The man bowed before he timidly sat on the chair beside the boy. Mark's heart is literally pumping a million times per second. He's about to pass out from this. Haecheu's really cute in person, he thought.
"I'm sorry if I act very timidly, I'm still quite surprised to finally see you in person," Mark chuckled as he felt embarrassed.
"Pft, don't treat me like that! I'm just a normal person. Call me Donghyuck or Hyuck."
or baby, or love...whatever you prefer.
The man scratched his nape, "Sure...but please, help yourself. These are on the house--"
"No, I'll pay them, Mr. Manager," Donghyuck giggled, "Who are you in twitch, by the way? I want to know."
"Oh...Do you have any guesses?" the man asked.
"I do. I remember your name is so close to the name 'minthyung.'"
Mark nodded and laughed a bit awkwardly, "Yeah, that's me."
Donghyuck's eyes widened, "Wait, are you joking?"
Then he received a no by Mark shaking his head left and right.
"No way! You're actually one of the few viewers I remember just because you guys kept on spamming me on chat," the streamer laughed, "It's nice to finally meet you in person. It's always nice to meet my viewers in person."
"It feels great to be sitting with you, Donghyuck."
The boy smiled widely, feeling his heart fluttering from hearing the man say his name so sweet, "Same goes with you. Now that I remembered one message you sent me, I'm surprised you even tried flirting with me on stream," he teased and took a big bite on the croissant.
Mark chuckled, "Ah, about that...I was just going with the flow. Everyone was teasing you so I played along."
"Was it a joke though?" the boy asked.
The man was caught off-guard, he looked away, "O-Of course."
Well, it wasn't exactly a joke.
"Oh, I see..."
"I'm sorry if it made you feel a little uncomfortable--"
"Don't think about it too much," Donghyuck smiled, waving his hand, "I don't mind your teases. It's funny...But would it be weird for to say that I'm actually attracted on a guy right now?"
Mark's eyebrows raised from being surprised but he just shrugged it off and smiled, "Of course not...People change."
The streamer snorted then laughed, "People change, huh? You're cute--I mean, the way y-you just answered to my sudden confession."
To cut their conversation short, an employee came to their table and took both of their attentions.
"Uhm, excuse me for disturbing but Mr. Lee, we need a little help."
Mark looked back at Donghyuck, "I'm sorry for cutting our time short."
"No, I'm sorry for taking you away from work," the boy uttered, "I'll be fine here."
The man stood from his chair and bowed, "Please do call me or anyone if you need anything."
Donghyuck nodded and smiled, "Okay, okay. Thanks, Mark. I will talk to you later."
Mark smiled back before he left the table and attended the counter to help the others. The boy is yet again distracted just watching the man work, trying his best to finish up his homework within the morning.
When he finished and paid with a tip for the manager, Donghyuck just left the cafe since the customers were still flooding the place. He'll just come back tomorrow.
