Enough

Breakfast was particularly good that morning, with the sole exception that the coffee was bitter.

Bowser had made a full meal of eggs, pancakes, and bacon for the koopalings. While Luigi packed them a small lunch box in case they got hungry during the recording.

The last level was always hard work. Additionally, after seeing Miyamoto's new plans for the track, the couple became concerned due to the difficulty it could cause for players.

The night before they had spoken with Kamek to tell them their plans about revealing themselves to the world. The old man wasn't convinced at first, but he ended up agreeing to help them as long as they did so after recording the last level; Because he did not think it would be appropriate for there to be altercations during the recording.

The couple accepted the condition, considering it prudent.

They were both filled with emotion, just one more day and they could be free at last.

In turn, they talked to the koopalings at the meal to find out their opinions and if they would be comfortable with it; After all, there were some who were really fond of their role and wouldn't want to drag them down with them for their decisions.

They were more hesitant than Junior when it came to accepting. However, they were amazed to notice that Ludwig was the first to agree; although he insisted that it was just that he was already tired of working and was still against their relationship. And the fact that the eldest of them accepted it encouraged the others to do so.

If that was the rebellion it took to start being treated with respect, they were willing to take the risks.

On the other hand, in the princesses' room, there was a brunette with dark circles and red eyes tired from crying so much. Each night that passed became heavier than the last.

Only a few days had passed and her mourning for Luigi had only grown. There was not a day that she did not think how many more times she would have to open her eyes to realize that everything had been a dream that she convinced herself was real.

–Dais– Peach entered her room ready –We have to hurry up for the recording.

"I won't be able to see him," she mumbled.

"Of course you can do it," she pulled her cheek. "Because you are a strong, brave woman and the best Daisy that has ever existed." She looked at her.

"It's easy for you to say, you've never had any difficulties acting. But I never did, it was always me and maybe that was the problem."

"Luigi is the only problem in this place," she crossed her arms. "But don't worry, today is the last day of recording and then you'll take your well-deserved vacation. We can go shopping, go out to eat, double dates..." Her friend's eyes began to glaze over. "I'm sorry! I didn't realize," she rushed to correct. "God, what a fool," she bit her lip. "Dais, after today everything will be better. Ok, do you trust me?"

"And what could you change?"

"Precious, I'm a Peach, I'll talk to Mario to talk to Miyamoto."

"You can't do it! I don't want Lu to be hurt by my feelings. He didn't do anything wrong," she insisted. "I..."

"You have been fulfilling your role perfectly," she interrupted. "Everyone except him." She checked her cell phone and then smiled lightly. "I assure you that everything will change today." She looked at her.

Meanwhile, in the hero common room, there was a protagonist staring into the fireplace.

"Hey, buddy, is everything okay?" Link asked Mario.

The boy looked up from the fire for the first time that morning and looked at the blonde.

"Totally," he responded with a smile.

"Do you want to get breakfast?"

"Of course," he got up.

They met Peach and Daisy in the dining room. Somehow they managed to make the chestnut's morning much calmer and more pleasant.

Upon arriving at the recording room, Luigi and Bowser were already there.

"Good morning," the youngest spoke.

"Good morning," his brother approached. "Did you sleep well last night? Today you will have a hard day," he patted him on the back while he avoided looking at the koopa. "By the way, I didn't see you in the dining room and just in case I brought you this apple to give you energy."

"Thank you," he took it a little strangely at his sudden kindness.

Mario walked past Bowser and hurried to go change.

Peach didn't even look at him and followed his boyfriend.

"Hey," Luigi said when he saw Daisy. "How have you been?" He said nervously.

The girl froze; She never thought that just hearing him talk about her could upset her so much.

"I've been fine, thanks for asking," she responded, trying to be as formal as possible. She couldn't even look him in the eyes. "I wish you luck today." She tried to walk past him, but she stopped as soon as they brushed shoulders. "Please, take care of yourself," she mumbled. "This track is more dangerous than the previous one." She left.

"Are you feeling okay?" Bowser held him by the shoulders.

"Well, at least she talked to me," he forced a smile.

"Sometimes there are people you need to grow, but not for life," Kamek appeared behind them.

The human jumped a little in fright.

"Enough of the approach spells, please," he mumbled.

"You should go get ready, Miyamoto will be upset if you're not ready when he arrives," the old man replied.

"Okay," he obeyed and went with his companions.

"Bowser, be careful today. I don't know why, but I have a bad feeling," he said.

"You're not the only one," the youngest responded. "Don't take your attention away from the koopalings." He looked askance at the children.

"Whatever you order, your majesty"

Miyamoto arrived about fifteen minutes later. He looked very excited; No one was sure if it was because it was the last level or because he knew that from that day on he could rest a little.

He positioned himself in his chair and waited for the first one to get to the finish line.

It didn't take long for Peach to take her position and start the level. It took her approximately 9 rounds to achieve everything perfectly; and considering the average for this was around 13 laps, she did pretty well.

The second was Luigi, it took him 16 rounds to complete the level.

However, his victory seemed too bittersweet.

The final scene involved Daisy jumping into his arms and sealing their love for her in a hug. But Luigi could feel how all that joy was fake, at least on the girl's part. He felt a lump in his throat as he realized how Daisy's eyes weren't even shining anymore.

As soon as they shouted cut, she separated from him and went to Peach and Mario.

Still, it wasn't all bad; all the villains applauded him when he reached the finish line.

Lastly there was Mario; his aura was difficult to decipher. On one hand he looked excited for what was to come, but there was another that felt so cold that he made anyone who saw him nervous.

For Mario, the alarm only awakened his instincts and pushed him to run the track. It had to be a record! The speed with which he ran, the way he avoided obstacles and enemies. Although there was something strange, he had not attacked a koopa or a goomba. He even used tricks to take down the koopalings in just a few hits.

The ground shook as he jumped onto the platform where the final fight against Bowser was supposed to be.

"Pan forward, I want you to catch his expression, it's gold," Miyamoto ordered the cameramen.

"Are you ready?" the koopa asked as he took his position.

"More than ever," he smiled as he took an ice flower.

Mario was the first to attack; He jumped and kicked him in the face.

"What the fuck?" Bowser growled. "Stick to the choreography." He tried to scratch him.

However, Mario dodged it without any difficulty.

"So how do you cling to rejecting your destiny and that of your people?" he answered while throwing an ice ball at him.

"Are you really going to argue about that now? I thought you were professional," he jumped to avoid it.

"I thought the same about you, Bowie," he looked at him.

The koopa froze for a few seconds; time that the human took advantage of to unleash a combo of blows.

Bowser tried to get up, but Mario was responsible for keeping him on the ground with a series of combined attacks. He glanced askance at his brothers; They looked worried when they saw that they couldn't do anything to help.

He didn't know where he got the strength from, but he managed to push the human without hurting him with his shell.

"Mario," Miyamoto spoke to him through a headset, "I don't know what you're doing, but you know well that you don't improvise in fights. Calm down a little."

The boy rolled his eyes, took the device out of his ear and threw it towards where his classmates were.

Daisy picked it up and looked at it terrified.

"We have to stop the recording," she said.

"He hasn't crossed any limit yet, we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves, this could have just fallen," the professor responded with obvious nervousness.

However, his students couldn't see the same thing as him.

The fight continued to become violent with each attack from Mario; Bowser did his best to just defend himself and not hurt him, but if things kept going like this, the worst would happen for the koopa.

"Mario, let's talk about this calmly, you're not thinking well," he pleaded.

"Am I not thinking right? But things are clearer than ever. You all think I'm an idiot," he punched him in the stomach. "You ruined my brother," he pulled him by one of his horns and tried to tear him off.

The koopa shook himself and threw him to the other side of the platform.

"That's not how things were!" he shouted. "You never have a clue about anything," he mumbled. But the human ignored him and ran towards him. "I love him." He protected himself with his tail.

"SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH!" He delivered a blow so hard that it caused a crack in the platform.

"MIYAMOTO, HE'S GOING TO KILL HIM!" Daisy screamed.

"Mario!" The teacher took the megaphone from him "That's enough, stop this!"

However, the boy could no longer hear anything but his own thoughts. He couldn't reason, only unleashed blows and ice without any direction.

Luigi frowned and started to run to the track, but Miyamoto stopped him. However, he pushed him with his elbow and hurried across the track.

Daisy tried to go after him, but both Kamek and Peach pulled her back.

He had the advantage that his brother, in his desire to reach the Koopa king as quickly as possible, had skipped several power ups. He knocked on one of the boxes and picked up a fire flower.

For his part, Bowser continued trying to avoid the minor at all costs. But Mario was strong, stronger than many would believe, and he already had the koopa cornered against the edge of the platform.

"It's a shame, I genuinely hoped my Bowser would be the best of all," he sighed. "I hope the next one isn't a sissy monster like you."

"I'm not a monster," replied the koopa, "nor are you a vigilante. Try looking in a mirror right now."

"No need, I know I'm the hero I was always meant to be."

"I don't know who told you that, but I'm really sorry you believed them."

The boy let out a growl and prepared to take another hit, however, he stopped when a figure landed in the middle of them.

Luigi held his brother's fist and grimaced.

"Are you happy yet? – He blurted out.

"This is none of your business, get out," responded his older brother.

"We both know that's not true." He moved his hand away. "Bowser, go, I have unfinished business with my brother."

"Lu, leave it like this," the koopa held him by the shoulders.

"I'm afraid that's no longer possible," he said without being able to stop looking at Mario. "Go away, please."

"Bowser, listen to him!" Miyamoto shouted through a megaphone. "He'll be able to calm him down."

The koopa agreed with obvious concern and left the track.

"I guess you already found out," said Luigi.

"Why were you looking at me like an idiot all semester?" he forced a laugh. "You're so selfish."

"And you tell me? If there's a reason I didn't tell you anything, it's because I knew how you were going to get."

"How? Furious? Upset? How else could I react!? YOU LIED TO ME! A lifetime of being your brother, supporting you, guiding your path so you could reach your perfect destination. And what did you do? You decided to suck the dick of the first filthy lizard that stood in front of you."

This comment caused the minor to hit him.

Everyone was speechless with such an action.

"You're done?"

"You hit me," he muttered.

"I did not ask that."

He forced a laugh. "You're not my brother. You succumbed to the darkness. You're a villain!" he screamed. "You can't do this to me, I can't fight you. Not without a script. Not without knowing that by turning off the cameras we'll be fine again." .

"Mario, stop this nonsense, you started this."

"It's not true! I just wanted to save you."

"FROM WHAT!?"

"FROM HIM!" he shouted as he pointed to Bowser in the distance. "Of his spell. How could you fall in love with someone like that? I promised dad to protect you and correct you... I failed."

"Are you dating Luigi!?" Miyamoto pulled Bowser by the arm.

"Sorry," he responded with a nervous smile.

"Those who seek find, Mario" Luigi rolled his eyes "Let's go" he turned his back on him.

"No," he growled.

"Damn, Mario, I'm not in the mood for this. Let's go."

"It is my duty as a hero to destroy the villains."

"That's just a character, stop the nonsense."

"That's always been your problem, Luigi. You separate everything when it should always have been together," he formed a fist.

"I'm not going to beg you," he tried to leave the platform.

However, an ice ball grazed his shoulder. He tensed his shoulders and turned to look at his brother.

His gaze was now vacant as he took a fighting pose.

"Don't make me do this," Luigi pleaded.

"It hurts me too," he attacked again.

Luigi dodged and counterattacked with a fireball.

The battle began again; However, both of them often erred on purpose for fear of actually getting hurt. And they were aware of why they were fighting, but that did not erase the fact that they were brothers and no matter how upset they were, they loved each other.

Fire and ice collided, causing a roar in the room. The entire structure began to shake.

"We have to get them out of there," said Peach. "I don't think they can withstand another attack like that."

"I'm going, I know the track," Bowser spoke.

"You're very heavy, the structure wouldn't hold up," Miyamoto responded.

"Let him wear the crown then," said Daisy.

"What crown?" Peach asked.

"Why do you know about the crown!?" the teacher shouted. "What the hell did you do this semester?" He looked at the koopa.

"It's a VERY long story that was mostly accidental," he replied. "And I'll listen to you, Dais." He tried to go to the locker room.

"It's not necessary," the girl took the crown out of her bag. "There's just bad news," she showed it to him.

The koopa froze; it was broken.

"What did you do?" He looked at the girl.

"It wasn't me! I found it like that on the ground and I picked it up hoping to take care of her," she hurried to respond.

"Mario stayed in the locker room a little longer after you came out," Miyamoto murmured.

He frowned. "It doesn't matter, I'll use it anyway," Bowser said.

"No, who knows what could happen if you use her like that."

They felt a second tremor.

"I'll take the risk," he growled as he put it on.

His body took on a human shape, however, thanks to the cracks it now had some alterations. A pair of small horns protruded from his head, he had a few scales attached to his skin and retained his tail.

"Get out of here, I'll go get Lu" he looked at the others.

"And Mario," Miyamoto added.

"Whatever," he rolled his eyes and ran to the track.

The experience was totally new. He had never played a level; For the first time he understood adrenaline. He knew the situation was dangerous, but he couldn't help but smile as he passed what was supposed to be the first checkpoint.

Every jump was perfect and he only stumbled once, but he managed to save it perfectly.

For the first time he felt like a hero, for the first time he would save the hostage, for the first time he felt free.

When he fell on the platform, he stood in the middle of the brothers.

"What a disappointment, I was hoping that the broken crown would weaken you in some way," Mario said as he tried to hit him.

"You are no longer even ashamed to admit your crimes, you have become shameless," he stopped him with one hand.

"I prefer the term 'acts of justice,'" he replied.

"Justice? Justice is being able to love whoever I want without you getting in the way," Luigi shouted.

"Lu, calm down," her boyfriend looked at him.

"But...

"It's not worth it," he murmured. "Mario, look around you, this place is about to be destroyed. No one wants to hurt you, let's talk about this in a civilized way."

"I already gave several opportunities for that," he screamed.

"You didn't give them to me."

"You don't deserve anything from me, you disgusting faggot monster."

"ENOUGH!" Luigi shouted as he pushed the koopa away.

He prepared the fireball, while his brother prepared the ice ball; They launched them, but were blocked by Bowser's tail.

It was the collision of these three elements that ended up destroying the platform.

"LUIGI!" Daisy yelled as she tried to run for him.

Unfortunately, she was dragged off camera by Miyamoto and Peach. Kamek hurriedly gathered the koopalings to leave the place.

All the allies and minor villains ran after them.

As for the three men, they fell into the void in what would be certain death.

The brothers could no longer react; for a contaminated heart can no longer think of anything but destroy.

But Bowser was sure of one thing, he wouldn't die in such a pathetic way. He rushed to grab Luigi's floating hat and opened it to use it as a parachute.

He lured his boyfriend with his tail and managed to also rescue Mario.

He watched the exit and swallowed; 15 seconds, that was the only time they had to get out.

He barely dodged the debris and they were thrown out of the room.

For a few seconds, the only sound they could hear was a continuous beeping. They looked up to see their classmates and a bunch of other students surrounding them after noticing all the commotion.

Peach came over to help Mario get up and get him out of there as quickly as possible.

For his part, Luigi stood up and held out his hand to Bowser, who still had the crown on so he could imitate him.

When they were both standing, they exchanged glances. Their hearts were racing and their minds couldn't even think.

As if on instinct, Luigi stood on tiptoe so he could kiss his boyfriend. Thus leaving everyone present speechless.

"I thought we would die there," he muttered as he separated. "What the hell is wrong with you? You should have run away like the others."

"But I would never have been able to sleep peacefully knowing that I could have saved you," he caressed his cheek. "I love you, Luigi."

"And I love you, Bow," he sighed.

"Luigi!" Daisy attacked him with a hug. It wasn't difficult to see that she had been crying for many minutes. "Never do something like that again, idiot!"

The boy wrapped her in his arms and squeezed her as she let her tears flow.

"Don't worry, I'm fine," he caressed her hair.

"Shut up, I'm mad at you."

He giggled. "I'm sorry," he murmured and then kissed her head.

"You better be."

A clearing of the throat interrupted their moment.

They separated and looked at Miyamoto. Bowser stood in front of Luigi in a useless instinct of wanting to protect him, although he really couldn't do much.

"You two," he pointed at them. "To my office, NOW," he shouted.

The couple linked their hands and obeyed.

When they arrived they sat in front of the desk while Miyamoto walked around the room.

"How the hell did this happen? I mean... Bowser, I thought we agreed on something," he finally spoke.

"It was an accident," he replied.

"HOW THE FUCK IS THIS GOING TO BE AN ACCIDENT!?" he hit the wood. "Do you have any idea what you just caused? I lost millions!"

"I'm sorry to correct you, professor, but I believe that Mario is to blame for that, not us," Luigi spoke.

"And you," he growled as he looked at the human, "did you really get that out of control for a boyfriend?"

"He wasn't just any boyfriend," he answered while giving Bowser a flirtatious look, causing him to blush.

"Good God," he rubbed his temples, "how many rules have you broken?"

"Is there even a rule that prohibits relationships between heroes and villains?"

"Of course not! Because it's implied," he rolled his eyes. "Ok, before any punishment, Bowser, give me the crown."

The koopa froze and shook his head.

"Bowser, it's broken, it's going to hurt you. Give it to me," he held out his hand.

He continued to refuse, but Luigi took it upon himself to give it to the teacher.

"Thank you," he sighed. "How long have you been together?"

"As an official couple? About four months, maybe. But dating would be six," Luigi answered.

"You used the crown to trick him," he looked at the koopa.

"I did it," Bowser confessed embarrassed.

"But it's not like you think. Bow saved me that night, they were harassing me and he came up to help me. Isn't that what a teammate should do? Protect his teammates," the minor interrupted.

"I agree with that, what I don't agree with is flirting with him and starting a relationship with him," he said. "Have you had any type of sexual intimacy within Fungwarry?"

"Ok, now he's just looking for excuses to punish us. We all know that heroes spend their time fucking their princesses in their bedrooms," he crossed his arms, "But no, Bow and I haven't done it inside the institution."

Luigi, I would recommend you be more discreet with your answers. Do you think I want to be here and give you this talk?"

"Then why are you doing it?"

"Lu," Bowser took his hand to calm him down, "Miyamoto, it's my fault, I started the flirting and if anyone deserves punishment, it's me."

"Sounds good to me," he agreed.

"But I'm not going to break up with Luigi," he said.

"Excuse me?"

"I love him and I'm already tired of my life always being ruined by a game that only makes me miserable. So this is the only condition I set; if everything is going to be fulfilled, perfect, if not, thank you for giving me the chance to be a Bowser."

The human latched onto his embrace with a smile.

"I love you too," he murmured.

Miyamoto sat back and stared at the ceiling for four seconds.

"You really don't understand the situation you're putting me in," he muttered. "The school is going to go crazy, Mario has already gone crazy and your parents are going to kill me." He looked at Luigi.

"I can take care of my brother," he replied.

"Really? Look how well it turned out today."

"Neither he nor I were prepared for that conversation," he sighed.

He nodded slowly "Okay, we'll do this; at the moment you two have my hands tied and I can't lose either of you. Your relationship cannot go public; for the viewers, Daisy is still your partner."

"Alright."

"Mario is not going to be happy about this and to buy time I will lie to him saying that I am looking for a way to separate you two, but then you must work hard to convince him to take your side" he said and then looked at Bowser. "As soon as to you," he swallowed. "I'm so disappointed and so proud at the same time that I don't even know what punishment to give you," he confessed and then hugged him. "Bow, you ruined the game, but you also saved my protagonists. And not only that, you shut my mouth with your love that seemed impossible," he laughed. "Your new crown will be ready in a few weeks."

"Are you going to give it back to me?" He smiled in surprise.

"I can't lock you in these walls all your life. Besides, I see you happier since you have it," he winked. "Are you aware of the amount of insults and attacks you will receive when you leave this room?"

The couple looked at each other. "We are," they responded.

"Well, that's all I could tell you. Be careful. You will have two weeks of vacation while we put together a new game that we can launch. It's two weeks inside the academy, so don't make plans outside" he went towards the door "Good luck, guys" he opened it.

Luigi linked hands with Bowser and they walked out into the halls of Fungwarry.

The stares and whispers were immediate, but after all the shit they had experienced that day they couldn't care less.

"Luigi," Link approached, "How did it go?"

"Two weeks of punishment," he lied.

"Just that!?" He said and then looked at Bowser. "So this is why you seemed familiar to me." He laughed nervously. "Hey, do you realize what this means?" He returned his attention to the human. "We're not just secret gay friends! We both also like mythological creatures! We have to organize a double date.

"Link, not now," he smiled uncomfortably. "We need to rest"

"Oh sure, but you can send me a message later, okay?"

He nodded (But here we all know that Luigi was no longer such a good person and that was a vile lie).

They continued walking on the way to their rooms. However, a feminine scream interrupted them.

"Think fast!" Daisy jumped on them. "You two seriously scared me to death today. You better buy me the next five meals," she pouted.

"Welcome back," Bowser smiled.

The girl returned the smile "And you," she looked at Luigi, "Don't think I've already forgotten that you owe me dinner."

He giggled. "Do you think about Tuesday next week?"

"Did you write that down, Bow?"

"All yours, Dais," he shook her hair.

"Perfect! Now, we should watch a movie," she hugged Luigi by the shoulders and hooked onto Bowser's arm. "What do you think of The Shape of Water? Although I don't know if those kinds of movies can make you horny."

"Daisy!" they shouted at the same time.

"Oh, if you already know what I am, why are you inviting me?"

"You invited yourself," the koopa answered.

"Oh that's right," she laughed. "By the way, your human form is more attractive with horns, don't you think so, Lu?"

"Please shut up now," Bowser begged.

"You adore me and you know it."

"That's right," Luigi shook her hair.

Little by little his voices were lost in the distance and that is how this story ends...

It's a joke! Please, this is Fungwarry. Did you really think the gossip would end here?

There is still a lot to tell.
