Chapter 5

"TOO LOW!" Lake yelled, and glanced at the bow and arrow Aster was holding, aiming at the target from a little far away. Aster groaned and shouted. "How will you know?! What if I hit the target?!"

"You won't. Not with that attitude." Lake crossed her arms to her chest while Aster sighed and lifted his arms up a bit, then Lake yelled. "Too high!"

But right as she yelled, Aster already released the arrow and it missed the center of the target, hitting the west side of it. Lake held her chin, she walked up to him and held her waist. "See? That is why you should always listen to me."

"What if you were wrong?" He replied, and grabbed another arrow and set it up next to his bow. Lake chuckled and grabbed the bow and arrow from him, aiming it at the target. She squinted her eyes and spoke softly. "You see, this is about how good you can see, and steady arms. And there's much more, like cooperation and oh, so so so much more."

"Seriously? Just for one arrow-!" Aster yelled but then saw her interrupting him by releasing the arrow and hitting the center of the target. Aster raised an eyebrow and glanced at her as she shrugged and handed him the bow. Aster scoffed. "Whatever. You're just a show off."

"I sure am. Again." She said and pointed at the target. Aster sighed and fixed himself up, aiming again. The light blue female troll sighed as well and put her used her hands to gently lift his arms up, Lake stared away from him, but then Aster looked at Lake with a questionable look, but once Lake looked back up at him, he quickly looked away and pretended to clear his throat. Lake chuckled and backed away, she looked at the target, then back at him. "Now, focus on the target and your arrow. When I say go, release the arrow and I want to see it hit the center! Ready? Go."

Aster released the arrow again, but it was oh, so close to the center of the target. Lake shook her head and glanced down. Aster groaned and put his bow away and ran away, sitting down under the tree and crossing his arms as he huffed. Lake chuckled and grabbed the arrow, she sat beside him and smiled warmly. "Don't worry, you just need more practice."

"Why did Prince Raven forced you into tutoring me? I'm a mess." He looked away, while Lake sighed and leaned against the tree bark. "He didn't force me, I forced myself. Sure, you're still learning and it's stressful for both you and me, it's ok! We both can get through this. I was the same, except I thought myself. You think it's as easy as someone teaching you? No, teaching yourself is way harder than you think."

"Wait... really?" He asked and turned to her as she nodded while pursing her lips. She sighed and pulled out a picture frame of her and her family and handed it to him. He glanced down at it, smiling a bit as he saw his tutor as a little baby. Lake spoke. "My parent's weren't really much there for me, they didn't teach me anything that much because they were busy helping OTHER people out. Even though, you gotta love them. They cured and protected everybody from my village."

"Oh, they seem like nice people." He smiled warmly and held her shoulder, he hoped that he was able to comfort her. She chuckled and shrugged his hand off her shoulder. "They were more than nice. They were amazing. I hope this helped you out, Aster. You're a cool guy."

"Thanks. Now cmon, I still have a few more targets to hit." He chuckled and stood up, running back as Lake giggled and followed him, smiling widely. You sure do, Aster. You sure do...
