personality;;

if we're being honest here, drew wasn't always kind. from an early age on, drew was a boy with his own strong will; he was stubborn, headstrong, and had a challenging temperment to deal with. if drew ever wanted something, he would get it in his own way despite those warm brown puppy eyes. he wanted to go to the park? he would've left. he wanted a chocolate bar that his mother refused to purchase for him? he'd shoplift it. slowly but surely, his parents had to learn how to keep a handle on their stubborn son and his rebellious behaviour that reflected badly upon them. it took literal months to get drew to start showing empathy and opening up to people.

drew in the present is an ambitious boy who grows to care about everyone he meets as days go by. he is a slight pacifist but is always ready to fight verbally. he's sweet and very cute dad-eske at times. he's dependent on making others happy to make himself happy, so he will able to indulge in the feeling. he lacks self-confidence at times, but brushes it aside. he is confident in his skills and abilities, often taking advantage of the fact that he can hang wherever he wants in order to jumpscare his buddies. drew may be eager to please at parties and other lively places by drinking to seem cool but everyone knows by know that he's a lightweight and a sad, touchy drunk who babbles too much about his problems. usually though, he's really just a happy muffin with a big heart.

when the teen first realized that he might've been gay, he was fourteen and had figured out that he had mistaken his love for the admiration girls gave him for loving girls. he had always liked looking at boys, come to think of it (that doesn't mean that he was simply admiring how disciplined they were for being able to train for muscles like that-- which is what he told himself in the beginning). god, boys were just so hot... and his girlfriend... well, she was pretty and praised him often, but she just wasn't what he was looking for in a romantic partner. if anything though, the girl made for a fantastic beard, and truly, he wasn't ready to come out yet. the thought terrified him to say in the least. his team would shun him. his mom would disown him. did anything good come out of coming out? he didn't have a reason to, so the current answer is a gigantic no. safeness has always been a huge part of leaving the closet and he read online that if he didn't feel safe and secure talking about it with anyone, he should wait until the right person comes along. he's been waiting for a year already.

perhaps he'd find someone to talk to who would actually understand the struggles that came with being different. or perhaps not.

strengths ;;

he's charming and sociable. a bit of a go-getter. good with words and balls-- footballs, of course... i totally meant footballs. is physically strong. can cook relatively well and tell some stellar lies. subtle when checking dudes out. can guess whether or not someone is pregnant with 60% accuracy. could probably sneak like six cats into a movie theater. can go up a down escalator in around ten seconds.

weaknesses ;;

he can't whistle. struggles with the thought of being judged. hates being ignored, but also seems like he's always just holding his breath, waiting for the worst from people. can't swim. is allergic to cats, but just can't resist them, so the movie theater thing might be a little alarming to whoever he's buying tickets from; they'd just see lots of hives and a red-faced pubescent teen trying to go to a movie with a big, lumpy coat that keeps subtly meowing every couple of seconds. BOYS.
