Chapter Six: Tea Parties and Doctor Mask's
I sat uncomfortably in my seat as the teapot rose from its place on the table. It tipped over and poured into my teacup. I tried not to react, but all of my senses had other ideas. They wanted me to get out of there and find my way out of the house and search for my brother. My real brother was not the one that seemed to have no soul. No way was I going to let this witch get away with anything. I watched the teapot land back on the table, which was slightly nerve-racking.
"There, see? It's not so bad." The doll said. "Now drink some tea! This is a tea party, right?"
"I would, but I think I should go." I respond and got up from the table. For a bit nothing seemed to happen but the minute I got closer to the door it threw a glass plate against the wall, causing me to backpedal and turn to find an angry doll glowing red and floating.
"You can't leave this room until the tea party is complete!" the doll yelled. its voice suddenly grew deeper and menacing. I didn't know whether I should use my powers on it or just leave it be, but I figured it might be best to keep doing what the doll wanted. I walked over to the table and sat down, bored out of my skull. Thankfully, the doll calmed down and continued with the party. I glanced around the room, searching for any exit that might help me. I allowed my powers to take control and help me find the exit and even a plan. It took a while since my chip was registering the room size and diameter. Although, when I looked at the doll, something was different. I could see an outline of someone or something. It was that of a little girl. I stared for a few minutes until the outline of the girl disappeared and they replaced it with a full proof plan to get out. Pretending to enjoy the tea party, I picked up my teacup and tossed the boiling hot tea on the doll. For a split second, I thought I heard it scream. I stood upright and ran for the door. When the door wouldn't budge, I backed up and forced it open.
"YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT! SOMEONE STOP HIM!" the doll yelled. I ran down the hall in search of a weapon when I unluckily ran into soulless Sam. His eyes glowed red, and he grabbed me by the arms. I fought back and kicked him hard, hoping that maybe he'd forget it once I figured out where his soul had disappeared to. Breaking free from his grip, I turned to find the doll floating in front of me.
"You know," I said nervously. "I only came here to take Linda away. I didn't sign up for your stupid tea parties or to watch over dolls that rarely move."
"I don't like it when people leave." a raspy voice said it sounded like it was coming from behind me and I turned around just as Sam blew something in my face and everything had gone black.

I awoke to find myself in a dark, dimly lit room. I moved around briefly but couldn't move my arms. My eyes adjusted to the dark room and found that there was a figure standing over me. I struggled to pull my arms and legs free, but nothing seems to work. I look at the figure again and discover that it was wearing one of those old doctor's masks from the middle ages. My stomach dropped. I could see why most people thought that the plague doctors were scary. I continued to pull my limbs away from the metal straps. That was the one thing I didn't want to find myself strapped to another metal table. Only this time, someone was standing over me.
"Let me go!" I yelled. "Who are you?!" the Plague Doctor said nothing, he glanced down at me like I was some sort of experiment. "If you don't let me go, I will make sure that you are taken and charged for kidnapping and illegal experimentation." I thought my tough act would have phased this thing however, it didn't seem to have any effect. He fixed his one gloved hand and leaned forward. Slowly, the doctor lowered his hand and plunged it into my chest, I cried out from the searing pain fighting against the restrains, gasping and begging for the thing to stop, it eventually did but when it removed his hand, I could see something glowing as he placed it in a jar. As if registering what happened, my eyes grew wide, as the thing in the jar was a piece of my soul. "No.." I complained. "You son of a bitch." the doctor went for me again. However, instantly, something small and fast came flying down and flew into the doctor's face. It yelled, trying to swipe at whatever it was attacking him. I glanced at the straps and used my powers to unlatch myself. I got up and kicked the doctor, sending him into one of the tool tables. It surprised me I hit something solid. At least I could get free. The flying animal flew briefly in the light and I could see that it was the brown bird. Not thinking much about it, I found my way out of that creepy lab and got back to my room, where I was completely out of breath.
I also couldn't help but actually think about everything that thing did. The way the bird moved fast, it was almost like it was trying to protect me. I'd been seeing that bird a lot more lately, but never at the same time I came across soulless Sam. Whatever happened at this house involved not only my brother, but that plague doctor. If I was right, then Linda, the doctor, soulless Sam, and the bird might be the keys to solving my brother's mysterious disappearance. I just needed more proof and more clues around the house. Whoever the next doll was, I was going to be prepared and make sure that I don't get caught with that damn doctor again.
