Title: God of the Park

When the idea came up: In 2020

Plot (if any): Edward has stopped attending school. He has only one friend: his Rookidee, Al. Sometimes he hangs out in the park with a homeless man who used to be a teacher. The man, Taizo, teaches him a lot of things. They've grown close enough for Edward to see Taizo as a father figure and vice-versa.

Crumbling under debts from loansharks, Edward's parents runaway leaving the child and his Rokidee to fend off for themselves. Edward turns to Taizo for help and starts living with the man in the park.

As time goes by, Edward meets the other homeless living in the Park as well as meets Taizo's closest friends ( 4 more ). They become close due to spending a lot of time together while teaching Edward how to survive on the streets without stealing or doing any bad stuff, take turns to look after the child and his Pokemon, etc...

Years pass by, Edward and Rokidee heads off; a bumpy Pokemon Journey await them. But when they come back, Al has evolved into a brave, proud Corviknight while Edward is now a strong Trainer; strong enough to earn him the title of Gym Leader.

This is how the Region of Krema's  feared, seventh, Steel-type Gym Leader was born.

( Btw, Taizo turns out to be Edward's disowned uncle from his mother's side of the family. He's not her brother...more like a close cousin. That's why he cares so much about Edward. )
