Taehyung loves the changes that have occurred in his life over the past year. While some of it wasn't pleasant, others were indeed the most eye opening moments he could ever wish for.

Leaving aside the fact that he was on the verge of losing his mate due to his own ignorance, he was happy that atleast he was able to accept his mistakes and reflect on them. And in turn, change himself into a better human being.

Jungkook was glowing. Ever since Taehyung had touched Jungkook, intimately, tasted him, it was like a switch had flipped and now the omega was finally falling into his natural, goofy personality.

Jungkook was a child trapped inside an adult body. It may seem like a weird comparison. But it was true. Jungkook's personality was that of a child.

Previously, the omega was always so somber and depressed. Now though, Taehyung could hear giggles flitering through the air whenever Jungkook was around. It was so endearing. So beautiful.

Jungkook had grown closer to the hyungs, always up to some mischief whenever it was just him with Jimin and Jin Hyung. And it was always Taehyung and Yoongi hyung who were on the receiving end of those endless pranks. Not that any of them were complaining.

It was surreal to see how Jungkook was growing, how the omega was finally looking happy and content.

While Taehyung and Jungkook's relationship was going smoothly, they still hadn't gotten any closer to mating.

Occasionally, Taehyung would touch the omega, make him feel pleasure but that was all they did. Sometimes, Jungkook would straddle the Alpha, grinding their erection together to get the both of them off but that was it.

They both were inching closer to being more intimate but both were shy and nervous to take the next step. But it was perhaps, for the best.

Taehyung wanted Jungkook to heal first before they took the next step. And he doesn't mean heal from his childhood trauma.

No. He means to heal from the hurt that he put the omega through. While others may have forgiven Taehyung for what he did, the Alpha himself will never forgive. He feels guilt everytime he is near the omega. He curses himself everytime he sees how happy Jungkook looks. Because he realizes that if he wasn't such an asshole before, then he could have had this happy Jungkook years ago.

The thing with guilt is, that it will perhaps never go away. And while Taehyung vows to always keep Jungkook happy, he knows no amount of good deed can change his past doings. So all he can do is hope that with time, all the hurt he had inflicted on the omega, his mate, will heal and when that does, he will ask Jungkook to finally complete their mating.

Jungkook, on the other hand, is healing. Infact, he feels so much better than he did before. He doesn't have nightmares anymore. Atleast not as frequently as he did before. It's been months now. Infact, if he remembers correctly, there is only one month left until the anniversary of the day he nearly died because of his mate.

And while that should make him feel some sort of resentment, it doesn't. It makes him feel happy. Had it not been for his near death experience, then Taehyung would have never realized just how wrong he was in his actions.

His near death experience had opened his eyes. He had realized that he didn't have to be so selfless. He didn't have to suffer all the time just to keep his mate happy. And it had also given him his alpha. So there's that.

Jungkook is ready to take the next step in their relationship. He wants it. He wants to feel Taehyung entirely, through the matebond. Wants to feel Taehyung's soul entwined with his own. And he also wants to become one with the Alpha, with body and mind. He wants the whole package.

And he knows Taehyung is stopping himself. While it had risen some doubts in his mind, about Taehyung actually wanting him like that, he also realized that Taehyung was just giving him time to heal.

Jungkook had made up his mind though. He will ask Taehyung to mate him soon, preferably before his heat next month. Because as much as Jungkook adores the semi- intimate moments between them, he wants to feel Taehyung fully too.

And mayhaps, he wants to finally experience the bliss of having your mate help you through your heat. He has been told, it's quite a grand experience.

Although, Jungkook wants to be with Taehyung intimately before his heat. He wants to experience his first time void of all the superficial lust that the heat ignites. He wants to be sober, conscious and fully aware of all the pleasure his mate can bestow on him.

All he has to do now, is seduce Taehyung.

They were having a slumber party of sorts.  All their hyungs were here, lying around lazily in the living room.

Jimin was cuddled into Yoongi who sat on the love seat, Hoseok was lying on his mate's lap, Jin and Namjoon were sitting beside each other, eyes fully focused on the movie rather than on each other.

Taehyung sat on the single sofa, with Jungkook seated on his lap, leaned on to the Alpha's chest. A blanket covered both of them, their hands clasped together underneath it.

"Tae", Jungkook's voice was merely a whisper but Taehyung heard it anyway.

"Yes baby?", The Alpha responded, placing a small peck on Jungkook's neck.

"Hold the blanket in place", Jungkook requested and before Taehyung could ask why, the younger was already turning in his lap, now straddling him as his head came to nuzzle into his neck.

"Baby?", Taehyung murmured, not complaining but rather curious as to the change of position.

Jungkook didn't respond. However as the younger started grinding slowly, the hardness of his erection rubbing onto the Alpha's skin through his shorts, Taehyung's fingers automatically tightened around that slim waist, the scent of Jungkook's arousal hitting his nose almost instantly.

"Fuck baby. You have to stop before others smell your arousal", Taehyung whispered, holding Jungkook's hips tightly now, preventing any movement.

Jungkook huffed, teeth grazing the Alpha's neck before responding nonchalantly.

"Don't care"

Taehyung bit his lips, trying not to smile but failing. Jungkook's bratty side was coming out more now and Taehyung was an absolute goner for it.

"Yeah?", Taehyung  growled lowly in Jungkook's ears, hands gripping those asschecks of the omega, making the younger moan lowly. "You want other's to know how needy you are for your Alpha's touch?"

Jungkook moaned before answering, "I'd give them a show if I could"

That was perhaps the last straw for Taehyung, whose wolf didn't like the mental image of anyone else seeing jungkook like that, aroused and wrecked with pleasure. The Alpha stood up suddenly, holding the omega in his arms, before muttering a quick, "we are going to bed. The guest rooms are all yours. Goodnight"

As the Alpha left the room with his omega safely tucked in his arms, the others exchanged quiet smiles, already having heard bits of the conversation despite the whispering and already having smelt both the Alpha and the omega's arousal.

It was indeed, going to be a good night for the Alpha and his omega.
