There was an eerie silence surrounding the living room where Taehyung was seated with Jimin and Yoongi.

After returning from visiting the Jeons, Taehyung had been bombarded with questions from both Yoongi and Jimin, who were worried sick after seeing Jungkook's condition.

While Yoongi may have blatantly accused Taehyung at first of hurting Jungkook again, which was acceptable considering Taehyung's past actions, he had calmed down after Taehyung had promised to explain everything.

Now, the explanation was already done and they all were silent, not saying anything because honestly, it was alot to take in.

Yoongi eyed Taehyung carefully. There was something different about Taehyung and Yoongi couldn't quite put his finger on what was wrong.

"So you are saying, that your affection and care for Jungkook was the trigger that caused his mind to relive the trauma?", Jimin asked, carefully repeating the words of Taehyung.

"Yeah", Taehyung replied, not making eye contact with both the other males.

"Tell me something," Yoongi spoke quietly, "If you are the trigger, then why were you the only one who could control his outbursts?"

Taehyung frowned, "There wasn't anyone else here. I didn't even know what the trauma was when it was triggered so I didn't tell anyone about it. I learnt too late and by then, I was already handling his outbursts and nightmares. I guess, in a way, since I was there from the start, Jungkook's omega perceived me as someone it could trust"

"Hmm", Yoongi seemed deep in thought.

"What are you going to do now Tae?", Jimin asked, very concerned about both Jungkook and Taehyung. It mustn't have been easy, knowing you are the cause of your mate's suffering. Jimin couldn't even imagine how Taehyung must be hurting right now.

"I'm going to talk to him about going to therapy. Hopefully he agrees. And once his health is stable, I'm....I'm going to leave.", Taehyung responded.

"You are just going to leave him?"

Taehyung looked at Yoongi who had asked the question. "Yeah. It's for the best. He needs to heal and he cannot do that when one of his abusers is right in front of him. It's not fair to him. With me gone, he can heal and be happy. "

Yoongi snorted. "You really think so?"

Taehyung raised an eyebrow at the taunting tone of the elder.

"Are you trying to insinuate at something Yoongi-ssi?"

Yoongi resisted the urge to smirk.

"It's hyung to you brat. And yes. I'm trying to insinuate at something. What makes you think you leaving will just magically heal Kook? What makes you so sure that your absence will make him happy?"

Taehyung resisted the urge to groan. It was frustrating to even try to explain his reasons when he himself wasn't sure of it.

"Yoon- Hyung. I understand what you mean. But try to understand what I'm saying as well. I was the trigger hyung. My actions triggered him to the point where he was trapped inside his mind. And let's not ignore what I had put him through for 4 years. I am one of those monsters that haunt him. I... I can't hurt him anymore. He deserves all the good things in his life hyung and I'm not one of them. He will be better off without me. "

Yoongi glared at Taehyung, "You think he will be better off without you?"

Taehyung nodded, squirming slightly with the way the elder was glaring at him.

"You absolute fool", Yoongi tsked turning around to look at Jimin, "your bestfriend is an idiot. Did you know that?"

Jimin, who had been watching the interaction with wide eyes just nodded, agreeing silently.

"That boy, he loved you for years. He loved you ever since he first met you, when he was just 17. He stayed with you even though you treated him badly. He still loved you during that time. And you think that you leaving him will make him happy? Are you stupid?"

Taehyung was at a loss for words right now. Jungkook loved him since he was 17? What? Taehyung doesn't even remember meeting Jungkook before that day when they first found out they were mates.

"You think his omega trusts you because you were the only person there when Jungkook had those memories triggered? Really? Just how many times was Jungkook in omega space that it makes you believe his omega only wants your comfort and not Jungkook? You stupid fool! You still don't realize the depth of Jungkook's love for you. That boy will give up everything he has for you Kim Taehyung, and he will never regret any ounce of it. He loves you that much. If you leave him, he will break even more badly. Leaving him will only make him believe that he truly doesn't deserve you. That you really never wanted him."

Taehyung couldn't control his sobs as Yoongi's words pierced through his heart. He didn't think of it that way. Yoongi was right. If Taehyung leaves now, Jungkook will only think that Taehyung didn't want him.

And that wasn't true at all. Taehyung wanted Jungkook, no... not wanted, Taehyung needed Jungkook. He needed him like the air he breathed.

"Hyung.. I....I don't know what to do. I always end up hurting him one way or the other. I triggered his trauma. I did that and I just.. I want to stop hurting him. I can't see him in pain... I don't know what to do anymore.."

Yoongi smiled.

"You have it all wrong Taehyung. And you will realize that when Jungkook finally wakes up and you will be the first person he will ask for. Mark my words. You think you are the trigger, but that's not true. Your actions may have pushed him over the edge but the trigger was the abuse he had suffered. Not you. And I'm pretty sure Jungkook will never blame you. That boy, he can never blame you for anything. You, Taehyung are his whole life. You are the centre of his universe and that hasn't changed. Give it time. Let him heal and hold his hand along the way. With time, he will learn to accept your affection. He will learn to love himself a little bit more. Perhaps, your actions will make him believe that he can be loved too."

Yoongi stood up and made his way to where Taehyung was sitting, placing an arm gently on Taehyung's shoulders, "You love him, don't you?"

Taehyung wiped his tears away, laughing slightly.

"Is it that obvious?"

Yoongi laughed along with him.

"Yes pabo. No Alpha will ever cry like a baby unless they are in love Taehyung. And you are definitely in love"

I download a bunch of pictures of hands reaching out to each other... so my husband was using my phone to take his picture and he found the hand pics in my gallery.

Him: Jaan, why are there hand pics on your phone? Did you suddenly develop a hand kink?

Me:...... *blinking incredously*

Now tell me, how do I tell my dear husband that the only reason I agreed to date him and get him out of the bestfriend zone was because I was mildly obsessed with his hands??

Don't judge, he has long fingers and veins like Taehyung's hands.
