The soft glow of the morning sun filtered through the sheer white curtains of their penthouse, casting a golden hue over the room. The entire space exuded a warmth that was both luxurious and comforting, a reflection of the life they had built together.

Beomgyu sat comfortably on the velvet couch, his silk robe flowing effortlessly around him as he sipped his morning tea. His long, wavy hair, now reaching past his shoulders, cascaded over one side as he absentmindedly let his daughter, Sooha, play with his fingers. She sat beside him, her own matching silk robe slightly oversized for her small frame, but she wore it with the same effortless confidence as her father.

Across from them, Maki, their mischievous yet endearing son, perched comfortably on Yeonjun's lap, curiously poking at his father's cheek, trying to make him laugh. Yeonjun let out an exaggerated sigh, feigning exasperation, but his eyes twinkled with amusement.

"Daddy," Sooha spoke up suddenly, her wide, inquisitive eyes blinking up at Beomgyu. "How did you become so pretty and confident?"

Maki, always the curious one, chimed in, "And how did you meet Papa?"

Beomgyu paused, a soft smile tugging at his lips as he looked at Yeonjun, who chuckled, ruffling Maki's hair. "That's a long, long story," Yeonjun said, his deep voice laced with amusement.

Sooha pouted, crossing her arms. "We have time!"

Maki nodded eagerly. "Yeah! Tell us!"

Yeonjun exchanged a knowing glance with Beomgyu before settling back against the couch, holding Maki closer. "Alright, little ones," he began. "It all started when I was the mafia's playboy, and Daddy was a misunderstood heir who didn't know how much power he really had."

As they told their children about the past, Beomgyu spoke of the struggles he had faced—the insecurities, the battles, and the long road to self-acceptance. He told them how he once hated the idea of being perceived as weak, how he had fought against his own instincts, trying to conform to expectations that weren't truly his.

He spoke about how he used to believe femininity equaled weakness, how he tried so hard to fit into a mold that wasn't meant for him. But over time, he realized that his power didn't come from how others saw him—it came from who he was.

Yeonjun filled in the blanks, sharing how he had fallen for Beomgyu at first sight, even when Beomgyu had been too stubborn to admit it. He described the way Beomgyu carried himself with unmatched resilience, how his fire had drawn Yeonjun in like a moth to a flame.

They spoke of the alliances they had forged—how they became a family with the Enhypen Mafia, solidifying their position as one of the most powerful families in Seoul. They told their children about the missions, the partnerships, the rivalries, and the victories they had shared with their closest friends.

Sooha's eyes widened with excitement. "So you guys were so cool? Like action movie people?"

Beomgyu chuckled. "Something like that, sweetheart."

Yeonjun grinned. "Except it was real, and it was dangerous."

Maki, ever the thinker, tilted his head. "So how did you stop?"

Beomgyu hesitated before giving a soft smile. "Because when we had you two, we wanted something different. A new life. One where we wouldn't have to look over our shoulders every second."

Yeonjun nodded. "We fought hard to create a life where you two could grow up happy, safe, and free. That's why we stepped back from that world."

Sooha clapped her hands together. "And then you got married? Was it like a fairy tale?"

Beomgyu laughed, nodding. "Something like that, baby."

Yeonjun smirked. "It was also expensive. But worth every cent."

Maki tilted his head again, his curiosity not yet satisfied. "And then you had us?"

Yeonjun smirked, glancing at Beomgyu, who immediately flushed red. "Not right after, but yeah... eventually, we wanted a family. And then, we were blessed with you two."

The twins beamed, their tiny hands wrapping around their fathers, snuggling into them.

Just as they were about to continue reminiscing, Beomgyu suddenly remembered something. His eyes widened as he shot up from the couch, nearly spilling his tea.

"Yeonjun! The playdate!"

Yeonjun blinked. "What playdate?"

Beomgyu groaned. "With Heeseung and Jake's daughter, Hana, and Sunoo and Niki's son, Aron!"

Sooha gasped. "Hana's coming?! We have to get ready!"

Maki jumped off Yeonjun's lap. "I have to find my cars!"

The twins dashed off excitedly, their excitement filling the room with energy. Beomgyu let out an exasperated sigh, turning to Yeonjun with a scolding look. "Why didn't you remind me?"

Yeonjun simply grinned, pulling Beomgyu onto his lap. "Because watching you panic is still my favorite thing."

Beomgyu huffed, playfully shoving at Yeonjun's chest. "You're insufferable."

Yeonjun smirked, leaning in. "And yet, you're still madly in love with me."

Before Beomgyu could retort, Yeonjun captured his lips in a deep, lingering kiss, effectively silencing him. Beomgyu melted into it, momentarily forgetting his exasperation before reluctantly pulling away. "Fine, fine. But we need to get the kids ready before they destroy the house."

Yeonjun laughed, pressing a kiss to Beomgyu's forehead before standing up. "Alright, beautiful. Let's get our little mafia heirs ready for their playdate."

And with that, their morning chaos began—filled with laughter, love, and the warmth of a family built on trust, struggle, and an unbreakable bond.

The Future is Theirs

As Beomgyu and Yeonjun watched their children run around, their laughter filling the penthouse, they couldn't help but reflect on how far they had come.

Their past had been dangerous, filled with risks and bloodshed, but their present? Their present was filled with love, happiness, and the family they had always dreamed of.

And their future?

Well... that was theirs to shape. Together.

Forever.💝
