Vijay, dressed in his formals, walks towards the under-construction building which is his first project and thinking about his engagement with Shanaya. His heart pounded with excitement.

In Andhra Pradesh, far away from the city's chaos, Kavya was in a different state of mind. She was in traditional attire, but her heart was heavy with fear. Here In Mumbai, Vijay got a call from his head about the information about the new building which is his new and first project. He reached his house and checked his whole cupboard, creating a mess. He didn't find the files which are related to the new project. The bulb in his head turned on. He immediately called his friend Rithvik who is his copartner in the project.

"Hello! Ela unnav Vijay?? (How are you, Vijay?)

"Arghh! Talk in hindi or english Rithvik!"

"Acha Okay okay, I am at my relative's wedding Vijay. Any work?"

"You took our new projects to your state?"

"haa, yes. I was in a hurry and kept those files too. Not an intentional work yaar!"

"It's okay, our sir ordered us to submit those files in the next 4 days. I think I should go there."

The sun shines brightly over a temple in the Vizag. The temple grounds are bustling with preparations for a grand marriage ceremony. The air is filled with the fragrance of flowers as vendors and relatives move around excitedly, getting everything ready.

As Kavya reaches the temple courtyard, she spots an open gate that leads to the outer grounds. Without a second thought, she dashes towards it, clutching the edges of her saree tightly.

Just as she is about to step outside, she collides with someone, almost falling backward. She looks up to see a tall and striking young man standing before her, a surprised expression on his face. Bright sun covered his face

"I... I have to go. Please, let me leave." said Kavya.

Man notices the girl and realizes that she is someone he knows.

"Wait, I won't stop you. Kavya, really is this you?"

Kavya saw the man and realized who he is.

"Vijay! Ela unnav?? Nuvvu ikkada em chestunnav?? " Asked Kavya in surprise. (How are you Vijay and What are you doing here?)

"Abey yaar.. english!"

Kavya chuckled at his words.

"What are you doing here?"

"I came here to meet my friend Rithvik. But why are you running? Where are you running from?"

"From my marriage. Don't ask me more, I need to run"

Vijay caught her hand and stopped her.

"But where?"

"VIJAY! lemme go!"

Kavya caught his hand and started running with him. They got stressed and sat at a distant tea shop. They ordered two cups of tea.

"Abb batou, why are you running from your marriage?"

She came out of the kitchen and saw them with a stern face. "You guys eat this?"

They nodded in confusion. She took those plates and placed them in the kitchen. She opened the fridge and saw a pizza box, eggs, and bread. "No vegetables?"

"What do you guys eat? Grass?"

"We eat at canteen"

She placed those bread plates in his hand. "For today I'll allow you to eat this. When you come back from the office bring some vegetables, dal and spices. Don't you dare to forget. Till then I'll make something to eat at night!"

Vijay smiled at her surprisingly and left for the dining table. Rithvik is laughing listening to their conversation.

"Why are you laughing?" asked Vijay.

"Typical Husband and wife household." He again started laughing.

Vijay threw those bread slices on him. Kavya smiled looking at them. After a while they left for the office. Kavya started searching for jobs on the internet.

At after noon, Vijay called Kavya and informed her about the arrival of Shanaya and her family along with his family. Kavya face turned dull. She locked the house and left to go to a sweet shop with the help of google maps. She reached the home and cleaned the hall. She sat on the sofa and took her phone to look at the time. She heard the calling bell. She opened the door and found Vijay. She sighed and sat on the sofa. Vijay noticed the mangalsutram.

"You didn't remove it?" he said.

"Ahh... I forget about it!"

"Thank god I found it. what if Shanaya got to know about it."

"I'll remove it." With a heavy heart she removed it and placed it in her pocket.

They again heard Calling bell. Vijay reached and opened the door. Their family members along with Shanaya and her family entered. They saw Kavya and their expressions changed. Shanaya looked at Vijay "Who is she?"

"She is my friend and new to Mumbai. She is being tenant. Her name is Kavya. Shanaya remember, my college last day and I wanted you to meet my friend..."

"Yeah yeah! So, she is your friend." said Shanaya while eyeing her.

Kavya found it suspicious and smiled at everyone and greeted them. Kavya left inside and gave them Water and brought sweets out in plates. Vijay sat near Shanaya. Shanaya caught his hand and placed her head on his shoulder. Kavya thought to leave the place.

"Okay Vijay, I'll leave. If you want any help, call me down"

"No, stay here..."

"But why?" said Shanaya immediately.

"What why? She is my best friend."

"Ohh really? If she is really your best friend..., where was she these 2 years?"

"Why the hell are you taking this matter out now? She has some issues. So, we lost contact!"

"Vijay, I'll leave! It's okay!"

"YOU ARE NOT LEAVING" he said loudly.

Kavya nodded silently and sat on the sofa. Shanaya is eyeing her every second. Kavya found is super suspicious about her. After an hour, Shanaya's family and Vijay's family left. Shanaya left for his room. Vijay and Kavya took the plates and glasses inside the kitchen.

"I am sorry," said Vijay.

"For what?"

"Shanaya's behavior."

"Forget it yaar!" she said with a smile.

They heard Shanaya shouting from his room. Vijay and Kavya panicked and left inside his room. They saw Shanaya holding the empty saree box.

"Vijay... what is this box?? A saree box right!! Where is the saree inside?"

Vijay and Kavya looked at each other with terror.

"That- that was an old box" stumbled Vijay.

"It really doesn't look like..." Shanaya asked suspiciously.

"Shanaya why are you elaborating the small issue... it is just an old box. And it is my mom's!!"

"Okay! I was just curious. And Kavya, what are you doing here?"

"I was just helping-"

"No! I mean, job and all??"

"I came here yesterday; I am searching for a job"

Shanaya smiled and nodded. She sat on the bed and told Vijay to sit. Kavya left the room and reached the penthouse. She took the chain from her pocket and kept looking at it. She heard a knock at her door. She immediately placed the chain in her bag and opened the door. She found Vijay, she looked here and there. "She left." said Vijay.

Vijay came inside and sat on the bed. "I am sorry, she is kind of weird."

"She is just insecure...," said Kavya.

"She asked me a question. Where was she on your last day of college... I don't have any answer for that... Even I tried to call you after... You changed your number. Why?"

"Not every question has answers Vijay... some are to be left unnoticed."

Here, Vijay's mom entered Vijay's room. She found him working on his laptop. As he noticed, he closed the laptop and sat beside her.

"Maa... Aap yaha? Kuch chahiye tha?" asked Vijay. (Mom. you here? Do you need something?)

"Naa beta... I want to talk to you..."

"Yeah maa."

"Vijay, Shanaya..."

"Sure Aunty!" Kavya said with a smile.

"You are Vijay's friend right! Don't you find Shanaya suspicious?"

"Aunty, why would I?" asked kavya with confusion.

"See kavya, I really don't feel good when Vijay is with her, I don't know how to say but she is weird, I really don't think she love him."

"Aunty, you are thinking too much, there is nothing like that. Today is his engagement." Kavya said in a worried tone.

Shanaya moved inside the room, looked at Vijay while crossing her hands. "Aaj mere saat tumhara engagement hein and what are you doing with her here?" she shouted. (Today is our engagement)

"Just Shut Up. What the hell are you talking about? You know Shanaya, you are being over possessive."

"Come on Vijay" she said and left out closing the door with a thud.

Kavya is helping Vijay's mother. Everyone started summoning for the ritual. Kavya also left to see them. Vijay and Shanaya came and sat on their respective seats. Vijay's mom is still feeling restless. Kavya plastered a smile on her face.

Shanaya's mom requested Kavya to bring the ring boxes kept in the pooja room. Kavya placed her phone on the near table of Shanaya and left to pooja room. Kavya's phone started ringing. Shanaya's curiosity made her lift the call. Vijay didn't notice this. Shanaya excused herself and moved from there. She placed the phone near her ear.

"Akka, how are you? Where are you? How is Vijay bava? You guys settled naa?" spoke Kavya's sister, Nitya

"Hey, I am Shanaya. She is at work. I'll tell her about you. I need to ask you something."

"Yeah?"

"How do you know Vijay?"

"Vijay Bava."

"Bava, What?"

"I mean Vijay Bava, he is my brother-in-law. My sister's husband."

Shanaya was shocked listening to her. She managed to speak "Ohh! Okay, Vijay is my friend. He didn't tell me about his marriage. You'll tell me how they married?" Shanaya said while moving back to her seat.

She gestured everyone to stay quiet and kept Kavya's phone in speaker looking at Vijay.

Kavya just entered and was shocked listening to her sister's words. Vijay stayed silent looking at kavya. Shanaya hung up the call and threw her phone down. She reached Kavya and slapped her so hard. The plate in Kavya's hand fell. Vijay grabbed Shanaya's hand "How dare you Shanaya?" He shouted.

"You just shut up Vijay, how can you do this to me?" Shanaya shouted back.

Shanaya's father caught Kavya hand and tried to grab her out. Vijay stopped him. "Uncle, leave her hand."

"You do not speak Vijay, I trusted you, but you made a very dirty mistake. This girl, I won't spare her." he said furiously.

"Shanaya" a boy shouted who just entered there now.

Everyone's attention turned to the guy. Shanaya said "Oh god Rohan."

"How can you do this Shanaya? You said you love me."

Shanaya reached him and said, "For God's sake, get out of here."

"No, I won't. You betrayed me. You said we'll get married, and you are having an engagement to him."

"Rohan, shut up" said Shanaya managing the situation.

"You speak up Mr" said Vijay.

"Sir, we have been dating for 2 years. She said we'll get married; she'll talk to her parents. But today I got to know about her marriage... engagement. She betrayed me. So, I came here to show the truth." said Rohan.

Shanaya's Mom slapped her hard. "Why did you do this?"

"Mom, yes. I dated him. Because I don't love Vijay. I used to be nice to him later you guys arranged our marriage. So, I know him I said yes. But I never felt like being with him. I like him and his money, and his job. He will keep me happy. That's it. He proposed to me. I was so excited and said yes. Baat khatam. But I started liking Rohan. His behavior, his care. I started loving him. But I got to know about him that he doesn't have a job. After marriage he can't keep me happy, so I continued to tell him that 'yeah I'll talk to my dad' and all. Kavya and Vijay were shocked by listening to her.

"Yes." Shanaya said simply.

"Vijay, you can't do that." shouted Shanaya.

"I can do that. Mom, dad lets go," said Vijay.

Vijay grabbed Kavya's hand and took her out of the house.

Everyone reached his house. Kavya's eyes filled with water. Vijay bought water for three. Kavya was unable to say anything. He compressed herself and said "I am so sorry, all this happened just because of me. It's totally my fault. I am sorry Vijay"

"Nothing happened because of you Kavya. You did nothing. Maa, you said that she doesn't love me. I was a fool, I didn't get your words. I am sorry for that."

"Bache don't feel sorry. It's all destiny's plan. Relax yourself. Everything is happened for good, okay?" His mom said.

Vijay hugged her. Vijay's mom called Kavya in a hug. Kavya just smiled and hugged her tightly. She started crying.

Kavya and Vijay left for their room. They had their lunch silently. Vijay's parents left for Delhi in the evening. Kavya sat on the couch silently. Vijay came and sat beside her.

They both ignored each other. Vijay left for the office. Kavya got an offer to join a company and they called her for an interview. She messaged Vijay about this and left for her interview. Unknown to her it was Vijay's office.

She left inside and found Vijay talking to the manager. She turned to the other side to ignore him. She asked the receptionist about the interview. She sent Kavya inside the room.

Her interview was successful, and they handed her the joining letter. She came out of the room and reached a colleague. "Hey excuse me."

A boy turned and said "yes."

"May I know where Vijay is?"

"But who are you?"

"I am Kavya, his friend."

"Okay, I'll call him."

After 2 mins,

Vijay reached there and saw Kavya standing there.

"Kavya, what are you doing here?"

"This letter" she handed him the letter.

"Joining letter, congratu... wait it's this company's offering letter. YOU ARE JOINING HERE!" he said excitedly.

"Yes Vijay, all thanks to you."

"Heyy, it's all your skills. Congratulations."

"Thankyou!"

"Okay, I'll introduce you to everyone. Come."

Vijay took Kavya near his colleagues and introduced her. Everyone talked to her and in a little time they turned close. After an hour she reached her house. She was so excited about her job. She left inside the kitchen and started making some dishes. She was on cloud nine. She moved to her penthouse and opened the cupboard. She took a dress out to change, while taking it out her Mangal sutra fell down. She bent down and took the chain. She kept looking at it and remembered Vijay's words 'She slapped kavya and Kavya is my wife.'

She placed it back inside and went to have a shower. After shower she reached downstairs and opened the door. She ate her lunch and sat on the couch. She looked at her phone and called her best friend Aaradhya.

"Hello, Aaru!"

"Kavya, how are you? You totally forgot me. Pelli chesesukunnava?" asked Aaradhya in a worried tone. (you married him?)

"Haa!"

"Ohh god, how is he?"

"Listen to me yaar. I married but not to that guy!"

"What do you mean?"

"I got married to Vijay"

"WHAT THE HELLLLLLL!" Aaradhya was shocked listening to her.

"I'll explain" she said calmly. Kavya explained the whole situation.

"OMG! DESTINY HAD A DIFFERENT PLAN FOR YOU KAVYA!" she exclaimed.

"He doesn't love me, Aaru."

"Give him some time, maybe he'll also start loving you."

"Not possible Yaar."

"I got a job in Vijay's office,"

"Congratulations Kavya, see destiny's plan."

Both their seats were face to face. As it was her 1st day, a girl Jahnavi helped her with the work and explained about the new project.

After 2hrs, Vijay left to have a coffee. He pours coffee in 2 cups and brings the cups to his desk. He placed one cup near Kavya and gestured to her to drink. She smiled and thanked him. Jahnavi, who noticed it teased Vijay. "Ohoo Vijay, you never bought water bottle when I asked. But you gave her coffee, even she didn't ask for it."

"Shut up Jaanu." he said.

"Friends Jaanu friends." said Angad.

Kavya just smiled looking at them. Her phone started buzzing. She glanced at the phone and found the missed call from her father. She is very angry with her dad, but she can't ignore him. She dialed him back. He didn't lift the call. She placed her phone on the table furiously.

Vijay saw this and messaged her "Everything good?"

Kavya looked at it and typed "Yeah! Nothing to worry."

She put the phone back and emerged in her work. She secretly glanced at Vijay. He was busy with his work. She again concentrated on her work. The boss called everyone for a meeting. Everyone including Kavya went inside. The boss showed the details of the new project and appointed Vijay as head. Everyone congratulated him for his 2nd project.

The boss selected the teammates. They are Vijay, Jahnavi, Angad, Abhiram and Kavya. They all came out of the meeting room. It's 1:30. They decided to go to the canteen to eat. Kavya handed Vijay his lunch box.

They reached the canteen. Everyone is talking but Kavya is eating silently. "Kavya how is your 1st day?" asked Vijay.

"Good." she replied.

"Man, you are an introvert?" asked Jahnavi.

"Ah, yeah kind of" Kavya said in embarrassment.

"Ohh God, I just hate these people. So silent and self-loving people. Such irritating people. How they manage to roam out. Boring people." said Jahnavi in an irritating tone.

Kavya didn't feel good listening to her.

"What's wrong in being introvert. She is not boring; she just has her own world. If we started living in her world, then you'll get to know about her. So, Jaanu, before speaking think twice." said Vijay looking at Kavya.

Kavya looked at Vijay, their eyes met. They were lost but a boy's voice made them come out of the trance. It's Rithvik.

"Hey guys." he shouted.

Kavya's gaze shifted to Rithvik and waved at him. Rithvik was surprised looking at Kavya. "Kavya what are you doing here?"

Kavya showed her I'd card. "I joined here." she said with a smile.

"Congratulations Vadina garu." said Rithvik in excitement. (congratulations sister-in-law)

Kavya was shocked by his words and widened her eyes.

"Vadina what?" everyone asked him.

"No, not vadina. Word slipped from my mind." said Rithvik.

"But what does that mean?" asked Angad.

"Guys, I am hungry now. Leave the topic." said Rithvik. "What about the new project?"

"Vijay is the team leader," said Kavya.

"Congrats Vijju for 2nd project."

"Thanks Rithvik."

They engrossed in eating and later left to their desks. After working hours, Vijay and kavya left to their house. Today Vijay is making dinner and Kavya sat on the dining table tapping the plate, waiting for food.

After half an hour, Vijay came out with the food. They chit chatted and ate their food. "Thanks for the words Vijjulu." said Kavya with a chuckle.

"Don't call me that Kavya."

"But it's cute Naa Vijjulu." she again chuckled.

"No"

"Yes Vijjulu."

"Kavya, don't do that."

"Okay, Let's discuss about the project."

They both sat on the couch discussing the details and location. Kavya is engrossed in it. Vijay lost his concentration and shifted it to kavya slowly. Kavya is talking and explaining about the project. The benefits and how to turn it beautiful.

Her hair was in a bun. It becomes undid and open. She again tied in bun, but some hair left out and it's disturbing her. Vijay slowly tucked the hair behind her ear. By his sudden action Kavya's eyes went widen and looked at him in shock. He just smiled and looked at the laptop.

She stayed quiet and Vijay started about his ideas. Now Kavya has lost her concentration. She pretended to hear him.

"This is Okay right?" he asked.

Kavya managed to nod. "I-I'll go and sleep. Bye" she said while getting up from the couch. She started moving from there but stopped listening to Vijay's voice. "Wait"

Kavya turned back and saw Vijay approaching her. "You forget your phone." he said, handing her the phone.

"Thanks" she said and ran to her penthouse.

Vijay smiled at her behavior and closed the main door. He went to his room and leaned on the bed smiling.

Kavya sat on the bed and thought about the incidents. "Oh god, what's happening?" She wiped off the thoughts and concentrated on the project.

Next day,

Kavya and Vijay reached the office. Kavya gave Vijay her plan for the project. Vijay looked at it and was quite impressed with it. After some time, every team member reached the meeting room for project discussion.

Vijay, dressed in a crisp white shirt and a tie, sits at the head of the table. Kavya is seated next to him.

"Good morning, everyone. Thank you for being here. Today, we're gathered to kick off this exciting architectural project," said Vijay.

"Our client has entrusted us with designing a modern cultural center that will serve as a hub for art, music, and community events. It's a challenging yet rewarding project."

Vijay flips through the presentation slides to display an image of the project site.

"This is the location. It's a prime spot with a beautiful riverfront view. We need to make the most of this opportunity. Kavya, you'll play a crucial role in the design phase. As you gave me a small plan about it." said Vijay pointing to the images.

"Okay Vijay, I've already started researching the local culture and history, which will help inform our design." said Kavya.

"Excellent. Collaboration is key. Now, let's discuss roles and responsibilities. I'll oversee the entire project, ensure it stays on track. Me and Abhi will manage client communications. Kavya, you'll take the lead on the initial design concepts with Jaanu and Angad."

Vijay distributes a document outlining the project timeline and milestones.

"Here's a rough timeline for the project. We have some tight deadlines to meet, so we'll need to work efficiently. Budget-wise, we're still waiting for final approvals, but we should be prepared for a competitive budget. We'll discuss this further once we have more details." continued Vijay.

Everyone is excited except Jahnavi. "I am not okay with this Vijay," said Jahnavi.

"What happened?"

"You can't give lead designer task to Kavya. She just joined yesterday. How can she get that place?" she said furiously.

"Jaanu, I saw her designs and they are good. What's wrong in appointing her as lead designer. Without your and Angad approval we'll not consider it right." He tried to calm the situation.

"C'mon Vijay. She is your friend, so you gave her this position. May be she is more than friend. That's what the reason for breaking your engagement." Jahnavi said with attitude.

"Mind your words, Jahnavi." Vijay said sternly.

Kavya was hurt with her words. Tears formed in her eyes. "I don't- want the post, Vijay." she said with a trembling voice.

"You'll lead this, and no one can stop this." said Vijay eyeing Jahnavi.

This hurts Jahnavi's ego and said, "I quit from this project."

Angad tried to convince her, but it all went vein.

"Leave it Angad." said Vijay.

Jahnavi left the place by closing the door with a thud. Kavya got up from there and moved out to the open place. She sat on the chair, tears dropping from her eyes. Vijay reached there. Kavya sensed his presence and wiped her tears. He sat beside her and held her hand. "I am sorry for her behavior"

This caught everyone's attention. Vijay reached there and saw Kavya's hand which is red. He cleaned the coffee with his handkerchief. He started applying ointment on it.

"Why are you overreacting? It was just an accident. By the way she is just your friend not your wife."

This sentence raised his temper. "YES, SHE IS MY WIFE."

Kavya was shocked at his statement. "Vijay..."

Everyone clapped at their confession. They realized they were in the office and came back from hugging. Rithvik hugged Vijay "Congratulations Man"

He went near Kavya and said "Now I can call you Vadina and guys vadina means Sister-in-law"

She chuckled and thanked him.

"You guys go home. I'll manage here." said Rithvik.

Kavya and Vijay left to go to their house. They reached the house. He took her to the penthouse. He told her to get ready in the marriage saree and bring the Mangal sutra and toe rings.

He reached the hall and called his mother. He said everything happened. She was very happy with his decision. His father is also happy as they like kavya.

After 30mins, she reached down in saree. He admired her with whole heart. He placed his hand on his heart. Kavya chuckled at his gesture. She gave the chain to him. He video called his parents and placed it on the table. Kavya talked to them and sought their permission. As they said yes, Vijay tied the nuptial chain around her neck. He placed Sindhoor in her hair line. His parents encouraged him. He placed those toe rings and hugged her.

His mother fake coughed to stop his act. Kavya chuckled at that. Vijay made puppy faces. "Maa, I'll call you later" saying this he hangs the call.

He placed his around her neck. "Now we are officially married infront of our parents."

"Don't say that, Kavya." he said.

"Vijuulu, Vijjulu, Vijjulu" she started irritating him.

She started running and he chased behind her. Finally, he caught her from back. He kissed on her cheek "Don't dare to call me that"
